I think the external oil cooler is necessary to increase the oil capacity of the motor I have a 2019 WR450F and the total oil capacity is only 1 Litre which extremely limits the service intervals I love the build you guys are undertaking and wish you all the best with the puzzle cheers from Sydney Australia Happy Trails boys
