      Thanks Sherif! I actually learned 4-5 of these myself when I was making the video. The one I think I use the most that I didn't know about was the the speed up and slow down for the viewport camera with "enter" and "space" (the super fast mode with both).

    There is a hidden pro tip of matching exact color that is required.
    For eg the client told me to choose some specific color for any said surface. I take the pic of that color in photoshop and using the dropper tool i select the color and copy the hex code.
    Then go to lumion and when i am setting the color of the surface/material, where we usually move the slider on the rgb pallette to select color,I keep the mouse hovered over that pallette and press crtl+V, and it pastes the exact required shade. No more toying around in approximation for getting the exact shade.

      I heard about that actually! I enrolled in Nuno Silva's course and I thought it was interested that he uses a regular texture then uses the method you suggested to ensure that the shading is always the same on those materials.

      Thanks @TheFreshsmith! Lumion has a lot of neat little features like this but it seems like a lot of people are unaware of them. I definitely learned 5-6 of the tips while making this video.

    Very nice, appreciate the advice.
    One thing I would add. Holding shift when moving any object makes it keep the same height. Good for when you don't want to place an object on terain. It also works together with the alt command for copying objects.

    Nice. I know most of those .. a couple not so much. The moving on axis one was a super important one for me. I learned that like 6 months ago.. Its one of the most important and not talked about alot for some reason. I have told the forum Lumion needs a widget like tool that moves objects on all correct axis.. Similar to what TwinMotion and Photoshop 3D has. I did like that you broke it up into separate parts with titles. That was helpful.

      Glad it was helpful! I definitely agree with you on widget tools. That would be really cool to see. An orbit widget like in Blender would be cool as well.

    Hey man! Thanks for this amazing and well explained video!! :D I knew a few hotkeys but when you started saying the ones I didn't even imagen they were existing, I was like... WUT? hahahaha
    No man, seriously, thanks for your patiencie and your work... I follow a couple of channels and, actually, you have some videos that I found extremely helpfull that other guys don't have. Keep it amazing!! Thanks again. :D

      Glad I could help! I actually looked up the hotkeys on Lumion trying to find something in particular and ended out finding a lot of them. Thank you very much for the kind words, I have some great videos coming soon so stay tuned!

      @@LuminousLabs yeah! I mean... Finding this information actually makes you feel like "Hey, Lumion has a lot of tricks... It's not that... Basic (?)" Haha amazing bro!! Sure I'll be here waiting the next video 🤘

    • @LuminousLabs
      @LuminousLabs  3 года назад +1

      @@GerardoALpz I said the same thing. I think because its so easy to get into and make your first render people think it is a simple software but there is some pretty cool stuff you can do with it once you pour more time into it.
      Something that hurts the software though is Lumion's resistance to allowing people to make add-ons and stuff like that. It really shoots them in the foot.

    • @GerardoALpz
      @GerardoALpz 3 года назад

      @@LuminousLabs I totally agree, but... More than that, I truly believe that the big "problem" is artificial light. I mean... It's a cliche talk about what is required to -Lumion- be able to reach actual physical correct renders. 😅
      I think we only have to improve our skills in what it already has to offer and keep waiting for next updates. 😀

    Its such a shame that we cant customize Lumion shortcuts...Why is it so difficult to make? We pay expansive amounts to use this software and still we have hard time using without simple options that could be added for example to change the imported model selection dot position without having to go back to sketchup and changing it.

    • @LuminousLabs
      @LuminousLabs  2 года назад +1

      I can agree with you I find that pretty frustrating. Lumion should have the ability to break FBX files into different sections with the ability to change origin points.
      I am going to make a video about this, but what the Lumion devs did recommend is putting it into a group, since you can change the origin point of the group! That is a decent work around.
