I was so excited to get my mystery box delivered two days ago. I am really looking forward to putting this project together. Thank you very much for the detailed instructions.
I just opened my Christmas gift and it was this project box. Can’t wait. Going to watch this like 10 times before trying to make it. Thanks for all the hard work. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you as well Aaron and family. With video out before my box arrives gives me time to watch the video fully before touching the leather and getting ahead of things.
Thank you for getting that great video out. I made one in Prescott last March and couldn’t remember how to stitch that last seem to attach bottom panel, but now I got it! Thanks Arron!!
Awesome bag!! I enjoy watching your vids..im fellow Texan... would definitely like come see your warehouse and watch you work!! A lessen or two would be great too!! Lol. Thanks
Howdy Aaron! I am using bison as the bottom piece, feeling like it needs to be stiffer. How would you stiffen up the bottom of this duffel bag? I've learned so much from your videos, keep 'em coming! Thank you!!
Is there any way you could write what leather we get in our kits somewhere so we can buy more from you? I really n like the leather I got with my different kits but have no idea what exactly they are.
Hi Arron. Great bag, and great video, please may I ask some questions. Do you have any problems with tape gumming up your needle? Please could you let me know the name of the rivets, and would it be possible to see you using your skiving machine? Thanks in advance, from the UK
Mostly Texas Custom Dies. Policy customs makes nice dies as well, but many of ours are large and heavy duty which is where Texas CustoM dies specializes.
Once again, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Less than 9 min into your video and you are already talking about skiving. I've seen on RUclips people doing it and perhaps it is only a matter of practice but I either ruin the piece or it look like a blind 10 tear old attacked it with a ax or once I got myself 4 stiches. Do you have a good instructional video?
I think your wrong....You always say you can hand stitch these projects...show me! I think it would be very difficult to do on many of your projects......
Put 2 pieces together, mark stitch positions, and use either a stitching chisel or awl and make holes, then sew. It won't be fast or easy, but it is definitely possible. On our Facebook page are hundreds of people posting pictures of their hand sewn bags and projects.
I have only ever hand stitched the Makers Projects. Still haven’t found anything in leather work that requires a machine but maybe I haven’t looked hard enough. Maybe I’m not lazy enough.
You are a “Rockstar” as a teacher!. I always learn something new from you. Thank you!
Hey Arron, will you please teach us how to line a duffel bag?
Ooo! That’s a good idea! Line it without gluing it, like drip in liner

Aaron that’s a beautiful bag! Nice job!
Yes, nice job teaching I feel like I might be able to do this, thanks.

Easiest way would be cutting a piece of heavy leather to simply lie in the bottom of the bag.
Great video. Where do you get the rivet domers.
I got my set from Bruce Johnson Tools
Thx.
Im watching it 5 mins after u just posted it.. 🤣🤣 merry Christmas bro... 🎄
Took 7 hours to upload for some reason.

I do not have issues with tape gumming machine needles, but when I hand sew through it there is that issue.
The rivets are just #9 brass rivets
I have a video on the skiver. Look up the NP4 on my channel and you'll see it.
Thank you very much
Do you have a link to the video for the piping? I'm searching cant find it.

is that grey hair on available through your store? What is it called so I can select it?
Arron, who makes your dies?
Mostly Texas Custom Dies. Policy customs makes nice dies as well, but many of ours are large and heavy duty which is where Texas CustoM dies specializes.
Hey Aaron. What would you say that bag should bring as it is there? High and low
300 to 500 would be my target
Thats what I was thinking also, thank you!@@makersleathersupply1220
Off to watch the piping video.
Do you have a place that makes clicker dies? I need some and I’m looking for a place to make them
I get most of mine from Texas Custom Dies

I did a 2 minute tool tip on skiving knives, that might help some.
@@makersleathersupply1220 thanks
At 21.00 can’t you pull the bag right side Ou and sew?
As opposed to sewing it inside out?
Do you sell your scrap leather to hobbyists and crafters like me?
Sometimes. More often we donate them to schools as well as youth and veteran programs.
If you put the camera on the other side of the table and zoom in then we can have a better shot of what you’re doing.
