@Already-Overbooked i read the first two I think awhile ago. I remember the main character being over in like South Africa working on a reserve was the last book I read I think. I need to get back to the series sometime.

Hah, thanks for the tag but I'm not sure I can do this one. Uploading videos to the _Internet_ apparently I can do; going up to strangers and asking them to choose books for me? Nope :p
Understood Fred. Based on where you live would definitely hinder your ability to get much at that price point. And yes, not everyone is close enough comfortable enough to ask someone to do that. Oh Kevin! Your bookseller picked out wonderful books for you. Sherlock Holmes--The Hound of the Baskervilles! Great book! The Kite Runner is a great book. It is one that I used to teach and definitely one of my favorites. (There is some really sad and disturbing stuff in it, but it is a beautiful story of an unlikely friendship, of betrayal, and ultimately, of redemption. My students ADORED this book.) In my very first weekend on BookTube, back in February, I did a video about this book as a frequently banned book. This was the video that got very badly trolled by some really unkind people, and I shut down my channel. I've talked about this frequently on my channel. It was MJ at Reading This Life who helped me get back up and running again. You can still find the video, minus the ugly comments. Then I did another video after that, on BELOVED by Toni Morrison, in which I addressed the ugliness that had happened on The Kite Runner video. Not that you have the time now, but you might be interested in these as they are kind of a big part of my story here on BookTube. Thank you, my friend, for the tag. My difficulty with this one is that we have had two local bookstores and two Barnes and Noble stores near me all close. I have to travel about 15 miles to get to a Barnes and Noble. I don't have a local bookstore where anyone knows me. Still, I'll figure out how to do this as I think it's a really cool idea. Thanks, my friend.

Especially if they are ones you taught, those will likely have incredible depth of conversation based on all the discussions you had with your kids. It amazes me how cruel people can be when it comes to folks talking about a book, of all things. And the fact that it happened to you of all people. Mind blowing to me. As you know, no pressure to do this, I certainly understand your geographical situation. I am 30mins to an hour to bookstores. This one I went to is about 50 miles from me.
