There also has been recorded one from the Stiftung Morzarteum Salzburg with excellent violinists and an additional harpsichord-except, alas, the audio engineer seemed to have overestimated the basso so that it almost drowns down the others!
This is the best best best recording so far! The interpretation is accurate to the period: not excessive vibrato and each note sounds smooth! Bravissimo!
Finally a good recording of this little beautiful peace. The sound is balanced well, the location was chosen wisely and the musicians did an amazing job!!! Listening is so much fun ❤
Finally, I was searching for some good interprtation and performance of this piece, I checked many other performances before but this one is the best so far, I guess it being so "new" many don't have wrapped their mind around it yet.
Soy Atilio.
Such masterful ornamentation, balance, harmony, and acoustics - not once in this whole week since the composition has been announced have I heard so suave an interpretation. Blissful!
Great performance! Period instruments (with gut strings, transitional bows, no chinrests (invented 1820)), and excellent period-informed playing with great bow articulation and very little vibrato. This is how it would have been performed at the time it was written, and as Mozart wrote it. Excellent! (An excellent reference for those curious about that: Leopoldo Mozart's (W. A. Mozart's father) book - A Treatise on the Fundamental Principles of Violin Playing."
After listening to several versions of this on RUclips, I'd have to say this is the best one. The original arrangement, with period instruments, and good sound. Other have added instruments, poor sound and/or poor performance; one particularly bad one sounded more like cats fighting than violins. Quality matters, in both production and intonation.
I adore Mozart, but I doubt the veracity of this "discovery," which, as well, has seen simultaneous "incarnations" on RUclips. It makes me very suspicious. As well, where is the documentation/proof to support the new "finding?"
It was found by scholars in a music library in Leipzig. It was composed circa 1766-69; the MS found is not an original, but apparently is a copy from about 1780. The reasons so many videos are coming out now are: A. The score has only just become available. The first modern performance was just one month ago today as I type this. B. Discovering "new" music from a figure like Mozart is kind of a big deal, so everyone wants to show off their own interpretation. Welcome to the internet, get it while it's hot. Links about the discovery can be found at the end of this article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganz_kleine_Nachtmusik
Beautiful playing and on what gorgeous instruments! But not really a major find. We could have all been fine if this elegant trifle had gone the way of the dinosaurs.
The first performance of this piece that doesn’t sound like a cat scratching across a chalkboard. Nicely done!

My god yes! This needs to be the front page performance for newcomers to this piece
The sound balance is so much better in this performance. Thank you.
Great performance! Probably the best one I've heard so far, and on period instruments too!

Acoustics aren't very good, unfortunately.
Mozart just dropping a new song blows my mind
Me too! I’m beyond excited and grateful that this wonderful piece by the great genius Mozart came to light in the 21st Century!
best sounding performance so far
Best one was at Gewandhaus with Herbert Blomstedt

I love RUclips. I get to hear it for the first time on instruments similar to what it would’ve been played on originally, days after its discovery.
This is my favorite version so far. I mean they're in studio and they play it well
Yes! This is how it probably would've sounded. This should have been the performance to debut this discovered piece.

really, really awesome! Great performers, they bring the piece to life in a way I haven't heard so far! Real professionals
Such delightful improvisations in the Allegro, thank you!!

Agreed with other commenters here, the best rendition so far. It really captures the essence of the time that it was written.
i would love to learn this on the piano, what an honour to be alive during the discovery of a new mozart piece
Yes, it is great performance! Heel mooi gedaan!
Finally! A recording that sounds Mozartean!
Thank you! I enjoyed your refined interpretation.

Glorious 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is fascinating. I would guess that it was written when Mozart was a teenager.
Oh lord 🤩
You improvised upon the skeleton score. Pretty nice, guys. 🙏🏼
Zauberhaft!!!!🌠👍🏻🌠👍🏻
Excellent performance. The cross and gel bottle in the background are strange.
Why wasn't this on the international news headlines?

チェンバロぇ....。
Sounds more like Haydn don't you think?
Which is a great compliment, Haydn being a so much more creative and original composer than Mozart!
I heard other versions of the piece, and I didn't like it. I heard this one, and now, I like it.

If you doubt about this way, you have to doubt everything about the new release.
@@2prime2 Isn't this my point, entirely?

@@nortyfiner The manuscript discovered is not original. To me this sends up red flags galore.

Clichéd and written by someome who probably only listened to these composers once.
bad place to perform that music
Why?
Is it because of the plastic bottle in the background?
