i remember when i was lik 12 or 13 going to see the boat while he was making...the guy was extra cool n gave me my dad uncle n grandfather a tour...to see it 30 yrs later is awesome...i always wondered what happened with it. my family lived in LAKE elsinore off hwy 74 n his house was a few miles up the hwy in perris ca.
I've been following several dIY boat builds and youtube sent me yours. 100 feet x 2!!!. And then cut it up and truck it. And then put it together and sail it!!! No way. This has to be CGI not DYI!!! Congratulations and enjoy.
Can you just imagine the feeling of saying I did, when people ask who built the boat? If anyone said they were going to build there own yacht, I would think they are crazy and delusional.
After getting it back after 6 months through Mexican court system ; Clyde sold it. SAD. Why I'd never want to be down there ....crazy corruption. Cartels run everything.
It floated level even with the engines and no top. 14 years an army of helpers to build SV seeker haven’t watched much of the junk being built. The calculations for water displacement etc aluminium welding in the desert. I can’t get my head around all the problem of sectioning the boat for transport and it.
@@williamlewis8741 If you look closely at the first video of the construction at 21:39 there is a picture of a news article that states. "Clyde Stires' 100-foot catamaran sits moored in his driveway in South-west Riverside County before being disassembled for transport."

I was starting to enjoy this video until the wind noise became too much for my ears. Mybe next time you can put something over the mic to filter the wind .
I was pleased to see a cell phone video of this build in action till comments complaining of wind noise became too much for my eyes. Perhaps next time you can STFU and appreciate free content

in my book, this goes down in as one of the seven wonders of the marine world⚓

Amazing, built by one man in his driveway 😳😳😳
Amazing seing it sale i watched the videos of him building it and was blown away that is a man who dosent care what people think
Looks a great job, I just would hate to think what it cost to build, happy sailing/ or cruising
Beautiful boat and beautiful day. Thanks!
The video quality from 94 to 2018 its like two different worlds
lol the difference between this boat and that train wreck SV Seeker leaves me speechless
good job
Imagining how the owner felt when launched it for his first cruise.
The best part is that the boat is sitll in the water as a charter. ruclips.net/video/NNhGVihyjCw/видео.html
Man what an incredible boat! Amazing job man. Only problem is the camera man likes to do 720’s with the camera 😂 can’t watch this very long
Beautiful, I would like to know Clyde’s I.Q. All the things he has built with just his own knowledge
One mas vision turned into reality with LOTS of elbow grease. What a boat.
Where is the Boat now?
@Players Dojo That boat in Annapolis is a much smaller boat, about 45 ft.
Totally amazing
Right on man!!! That's a beauty
Simply incredible.
It's sad to think Clyde & Sylvia lost this yacht to thieves, who stole the vessel while moored in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
seriously ???
Not according to their charter web site. It says they sold the boat and there is another site to go to for bookings.
@@jwyzdm they recovered it but it was stolen for a time
