I love the Garl lives in the "True" ending but I think him dying makes the story much more impactful and makes the narrative much stronger
It sounds messed up but I kind of wish he stayed dead. I really love garl It feels cheap to bring him back like this.
yeh, garl should remain dead
yeh, garl should remain dead
yeh, garl should remain dead
Garl is a Mary sue
I will never forget how badass of a character Garl is. The dude has infinite bravery first of all, dies, come back, is still loyal to his friends, throws an apple at the main villains face and then proceeds to just smack the shit out of him all while calling him a loser. Everyone needs a friend like Garl.
At times, Garl genuinely felt like the actual protagonist of the game.
Well good thing I didn’t go through the trouble for the slightly different end. Thanks for the upload.
No problem 👍
I would of done it except have to get all 60 rainbow conches
@@Kyizen Honestly with guides available it wasn't that much of an issue, took maybe an hour to grab the ones I had missed.
I wouldn’t say fighting the actual big bad of the game vs his lackey is a “slightly different end”
People seem to forget nowadays that more/harder gameplay is the best reward a game can give
Garl's death was sad, but really gave the game a lot of heart. I dont know if i like that you can res him. the game was a lot of fun but pretty short. that said I never seem to finish these JPRG sort of games, so it was nice to check this off as completed!
Great game, and great ending, I feel the ending where Garl is dead is more impactful but you dont get to fight the Fleshmancer.
Indeed, but it give the player another choice to save garl, who honestly deserved to live on what he been through.
Also the fleshmancer boss fight drag way longer to end. It took us about 30m +
9:55 Oh! Oh! It's the boss from The Messenger!
indeed
I could be way wrong but I feel like this implies Brugaves became Barthamazel from the messenger since Erlina's new form shows up to meet him.
@@nwerner882 indeed, this game is a prequel to messenger
the demon lord in messenger is the Eye boss + 4 acolyte combine who become "
king"
@@nwerner882 Aephorul tells Brugaves "You will be the fastest there's ever been". That's how Barma refers to himself in the messenger. It's the same guy.
Probably the best ending from any game I’ve ever played
This ending really shed my tears.
yeah they all grow old being single LOL
This game was so phenomenal. I can’t wait to see what else they do
SO I played just played Sea of stars and picked up The Messenger right after with NO prior knowledge of any connections to the game. I'm sitting here starting my Playthrough and I'm like "that red dude kinda looks like the dude I saw in the credits for sea of stars" then I'm like "these level names are also from sea of stars" then I'm like "time shards? thats gotta be a coincidence" and I hear the music and I'm like "NOOOO FUCKING WAY" genuinely geeked out
This game became so tedious in the end. There was no way I was going to run around doing busy work just to get this ending.
Ya it's abit annoying. But the sake revive him, it worth it
That last scene got me for sure ❤
This game is a masterpiece, damn
Na
The game is good. But it is reaaaaaaaaallly overrated
Real good ending but I won't cstch all those collectable
It's really not that hard tbh
Thanks for uploading this! When I completed the game, it crashed on my switch showing “unknown error occurred” right after Teaks was talking with the kids. I thought maybe the devs ended it purposely like that as a joke lol
Glad I could help!
lots of unanswered questions
What a fantastic game ❤
indeed
I loved this game but the ending was sooooo bad
Well now I’m just sad I didn’t get the full ending
So they remain friends, unlike Hashirama and Madara.
The true ending is good but it is a fanservice ending because It have a huge plot hole is B'st copy garl, he became fake garl. He do all the thing garl do like brow time, cook the breed, give the sleeper a name and talk like garl, his friend not even know he is not garl. He like became garl.
But how ? The game never give us the hint that B'st have power to copy people like a doppelganger. This is come our of nowhere. The normal ending is more logic than the true ending
I really didn't like them hiding the true ending like that, I finished all 5 side quests except the rainbow conchs cause it was getting boring to find them, and then I noticed there is a true ending and I see it here on youtube, I was basically 15 conchs away from the actual ending, very unfair.
I'm still stuck at this battle bc I keep messing up the damn shooting section. But it seems that isn't the end of it? I thought when you kicked his butt in the sky the fight was over but your video shows you finishing him with a regular Ultimate. Do I just have to continue with the fight is is finishing the "beast mode" part mandatory bc goddamn it annoys me.
You still fight him a couple round after the flying beast mode. But it is required to beat that B4 he can be defeated
Gah, I was afraid you might say that. lol I failed it twice and then you have to redo the entire fight until that point and it takes soooooo long. I may try again but now I'm even more grateful for your video so that I could see the ending and get all emotional bc damn this game gets you in the feels.
@@raffaelm6558 😂 it took about an hour to get it done, only if you don't encounter bug as well. Our run in Livestream encountered where it stucked without any UI and we have to restart the fight again
Tip while firing super beam you won't get damaged
I beat the game but Carl is dead, where did the Ai core go, can't find the rune place?
You need to beat the game, only u can get the true ending. It should appeared at the place u first meet the book scholar
aside from Mirth, ive done all the other side quests. so... watching this rather than waste time
such a good game but why does the flesh mancer get to just leave?!
I think he can't be killed. It's literally God and Satan.
@@youMatterItDoesGetBetter its weird, cause now zale and valere are gods too
Also...Re'shan is not going to let you let you just kill him... They are best friends... for a long time.
The lore reason is that Resh'an wouldn't let that happen. His goal at this point is to redeem Aephorul one way or another, and I think the first step towards that was to break the God-like persona he made for himself by showing him he can be defeated, receiving the final blow by Garl, his polar opposite.
@@Extremely_Average_Gaming Yes... Best "friends"........
The true ending being "Garl is there" is so unnecessary lmao. So glad I didn't waste time earning this version haha.
wait...how the fuck is garl alive
9:27 Serai groovin
Huh, I thought Garl was supposed to die
He live at true ending
why did i get the ending without Garl? why did he die on me? i thought there was no alternative
Get the true ending
Pls, how does Garl comes back to life???
Finish the game, unlock the 7 pillar, finish all quests then finish the game again
@@collectorhubsSry I didn't ask properly, I meant story like?
Is there a cutscene that shows him coming back? Or in the new game he never dies? What happens?
Thank you!
@@lucaswalker1642 yes there is, but only after u finished all the 7 pillar quests
If u really don't care about spoiler, just watch this. It start with it ruclips.net/video/4mLPoqRDL5Y/видео.htmlsi=yldLUPNZww7ttTZc
Thanks! You're the best!
how garl is alive?? how to do that
You have to nearly 100% the game to save him
Ok I'm confused why is garl there doesn't he die 😐 did I do something wrong?
Need to do quest to revive him
Wow that's crazy I need to look into that some more..this game just keeps on amazing me more and more..should have gotten game of the year!
Very very slight spoilers for the messenger, true ending spoilers for sea of stars ofc lol
I’m a little bit confused about why there are no children of the solstice in the messenger’s time. We know from our time in seraiis world that they only stop being born when the sun and moon are physically split from each other (ex: in seraiis world the sun was behind clouds and the moon was under the sea). However, the sun and moon are both shown in the messenger, so that can’t be the cause. Did something happen when Valere and zale ascended to cause the sun and moon to be disjointed or smth? Is it possible that when a sun and moon solstice warriors ascend children of the solstice stop being born in that world?
The Flood happened. Remember, the chamber in the Crypt at the very end is the same one that we see when the Messenger unlocks the Sun and Moon chamber in the Sunken Shrine. Back at the time of Sea of Stars, it was still above water, as evidenced by how the moon could be seen from the chamber. However, after the flood, the island's top "plateau" became the only piece of land left in the world.
In The Messenger, when Ninja opens the sealed door in the Sunken Shrine, he is greeted with two entities only known as "The Guardian Gods". We know that those are in fact Zale and Valere. They explain that, as people stopped worshiping the Guardian Gods, their power withered over time due to "the world losing its connection to the stars" (something like that). We don't know exactly what it means for a world to be disconnected from the stars, but it very well might be the reason why children of the solstice stopped being born. There's also the possibility that, with still active Guardian Gods, there was simply no reason for them to be born and thus it just stopped happening.
@@Stephanie-69 Ok this makes a lot more sense now, tysm!
@@Jell000 No problem! If there is anything else you're confused or curious about feel free to ask
Maybe I missed it but what happened to Erlina in the Messenger?
not sure about it, we never play the messenger before :)
some said she become Fleshmancer Lieutenant, Eryndalle
Elysan'Darëlle does not appear anywhere in The Messenger, nor was she ever mentioned in the ARG prior to Sea of Stars' release, so you really didn't miss anything.
So Valere and Zalr are immortal now.
Sweet.
I'll try to check out the way Garl gets to be alive later. I liked the ending but this game dragged on 20 hours past when I got tired of playing it. Very simple game. Very much like Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.
how tf Gal still alive?
finish the stonehedge quest
Why not show the whole battle?? For Tips?
lol
The final battles is about an hour. We did put another video on that battle.
@@collectorhubs ok sir. Thanks
This blows ff16 outta the gd water
16 was such a missed opportunity imo. They really fucked up by having the DMC combat lead on 16
there was no way i was going through all the shit to get the "true" ending. this game gotta be the most overrated game in the last 10-15 years
I hate it when emotional moments like Garl dying get undone. The game is great but the story was very mediocre.
to be honest, the normal ending already great on its own. the true ending kinda meant to be a reward for those who give effort to bring garl back from death.
so glad i didn't spend any money on this game
Goty
