This is great advice, Georgia! Especially focusing on the validation. If what you're doing in your bubble is only applicable there, it's more difficult to drive it's importance. For personal growth it's incredible and important. The next step is seeing if what you have or find is applicable in a general sense which is very important. Thank you for voicing this. Critical findings (outside of the personal realm of what motivates us) is absolutely rewarding and critical to our work as bioinformaticians. Keep it up!
P.S. When I worked in London, I spent too much time at the "Dickens Pub" (?Saint Catherine's Wharf?). More time jogging would certainly have been a better alternative !
Hello Georgia! I recently discovered your channel and it's so inspiring... I am doing my 4 years undergrad in biotechnology in which I would be learning Bioinformatics as a part of my curriculum where I would be taught subjects like programming in bioinformatics and computational biology as well.. I learned programming in Java till my high-school in BlueJ environment and i am looking forward to learn python as well... I believe I would fit great in bioinformatics industry in the future. Your channel is inspiring me a lot. ❤
Hi Georgia, so glad you’re back 😍 oh bless you, hope you are feeling better now , and I am sure you grandma is so proud of you for being so strong❤ very useful and concise content thank you xxx

Where have you been all these while?
Hiding under a blanket ✨
@genomicswithgeorgia hahaha😃. How can I reach you? I am trying to come for training at EMBL-EBI next month
Do we compulsory to publish papers to get a job in bioinformatics field ma'am
Depends on the position! Some publish a lot, some don’t.
welcome back
Thank you! 🙏
