I don't understand how people are saying mateusz should have won, consistency is what matters. Deadlifts are a staple of strongman comps, if your deadlift is comparatively weak do you really deserve to win? Thor is the best all-round strong man.
There are full skeletal remains of giant people (10ft tall and upwards) that have been discovered all over the planet. They just don't talk about it much. But such people are long gone. I'd say height to width, he probably is one of the biggest guys on the planet if not the biggest. Unbelievable stature.
The reason is they want to seperate the men from the boys. Like Brian Shaw said. Some contests in WSM is too light. For instance another lighter athlete will do 10 reps with a certain implement where Brian Shaw can only do 8. He is not as fast as the other guy. Make the implement heavier and suddenly Brian Shaw gets 1 rep and the other athlete cannot even lift it. Thats the reasoning behind the heavy dumbells. It gives the guys who are significantly stronger than others the opportunity to prove it with heavy weights.
if Mateusz gets his deadlift up he will win next year easily his pressing power is insane his shoulders and arms are strong as hell but his deadlift if improved could keep him into contention with thor
Mateusz is 100% the strongman of the future. The only event that he loses these competitions in is the deadlift. If he could improve his deadlift he would be unstoppable.
Don't forget how fast Thor was 5-6 years ago. No one could beat him in Atlas Stones. Now he is older, stronger but slower with a little less endurance. I think that if Mateuz would increase his Deadlift he might just be slower because of being bigger and heavier. Thor is the strongest man ever no question about it.
Shaw and Savickas has more merits. But looking at pure strength. Non of them had Thors allround strength. Thor will probably set new world record in Deadlift within a month from now. He is among the strongest static over head. He would also be able to beat the world record in Squats if he gave it a go.Bag over bar no one can challenge him. Very good with Atlas stones. Think he could be a decent benchpresser with more practice, let's say 280 kg. Only weakness is Farmers walk due to his nerv damages in his right hand
Cristhian O He didn't qualify. Lost against Martin Licis in a pre tournament. Sadly he is old with some injuries. He will never win again Arnold or WSM again

He's been battling nerve issues on his right side.
The stars aligned for Martins to win WSM …. he doesn't really compare to Thor and Mateusz.
that one time he won, both shaw and hafthor were injured. hafthor injured his foot in one of the first events. how big is it a win if your competitors were just all injured LOL
@@y2kv1
He already finished 2nd before that in ASM 2019. And here he finished 3rd despite his injury. Licis is no joke and his WSM win was no fluke. Even an uninjured Thor would have had a hard time beating Licis in the events that made up WSM 2019.
Great competition great group of guys aswell....
No one is stronger than an upset mateusz
An upset Thor
he should have gotten upset in the deadlift and he would have won the title.
@@LednacekZ he was upset when his strap broke and did not get a retry for it ( equipment failure + no lift = no lift apparently).
@@hellzila he went on to lift more after anyway so it had no effect on the competition
To be honest this Man Kieliszkowski is Natural strong, more winnings await him in the future
Ronnie Coleman in the background audio at 31:30 ..yeahhh buddyyyy
Light weight!
Is brian shaw recovering from injuries? Or is he done competing?
Pleasure to watch
I don't understand how people are saying mateusz should have won, consistency is what matters. Deadlifts are a staple of strongman comps, if your deadlift is comparatively weak do you really deserve to win? Thor is the best all-round strong man.
The mountain might be the biggest human in history height*width
There are full skeletal remains of giant people (10ft tall and upwards) that have been discovered all over the planet. They just don't talk about it much. But such people are long gone. I'd say height to width, he probably is one of the biggest guys on the planet if not the biggest. Unbelievable stature.
These dumballs are awesome
They've complicated this event. I think it should still be for reps.
Mateusz is marvelous 40kg lighter than huge Thor and still able to win 4 events, unreal.
Mateusz is the best 💪💪💪
Second best
AMAZING 💪💪💪💪💪 💯💯💥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
King Thor Reigns....Long Live the King💚👑💯💪🏼🙏🏼🙌🏻
I feel like this event was poorly planned out given how many lifters could barely do even one rep of the starting weight
Maybe they just need to stop being so weak..
Misha Gurevich It’s touted as the heaviest contest for a reason, the guys that qualify for this understand how heavy it is.
This was the LAST event in 2 days of events. It drained many of the competitors of their strength.
Hafthor has the height advantage! Matheus hands down was the strongest man!
Is the grip standard thickness?
GREAT MOMENTS MAKE GREAT PEOPLE... FIND YOUR MOMENT... HEALTH IS YOUR WEALTH 💪😁👍
Hafthor is at the top of the world for a long time
Thor is great as always, but Mateusz is the winner for me this time. Well done!
Mateusz is a hell of a guy but he still needs to improve ALOT in deadlift. He should make it his main training
The problem is awesome deadlift means to get worse in all the other events. It reminds me of Thor vs Shaw when they started to compete.
The moment mateusz gets his deadlift up to 1000+ he will win consecutive titles.
if Mateusz gets his deadlift up he will win next year easily his pressing power is insane his shoulders and arms are strong as hell but his deadlift if improved could keep him into contention with thor
What about Shaw?
Shaw and Savickas has more merits. But looking at pure strength. Non of them had Thors allround strength. Thor will probably set new world record in Deadlift within a month from now. He is among the strongest static over head. He would also be able to beat the world record in Squats if he gave it a go.Bag over bar no one can challenge him. Very good with Atlas stones. Think he could be a decent benchpresser with more practice, let's say 280 kg. Only weakness is Farmers walk due to his nerv damages in his right hand
@@pallethekingkong how come Shaw didnt participate in this tournament. Cause of age?
Cristhian O He didn't qualify. Lost against Martin Licis in a pre tournament. Sadly he is old with some injuries. He will never win again Arnold or WSM again
Take a shot everytime the commentator says "Implement".
I did and now I don't know what's up or down anymore.
Titan wins 4 events
Mountain wins 2
Mountain wins contest
Something wrong with that point system??
Titan is terrible at staple strongman event
Mountain has no weakness
Mountain wins
Makes sense to me
@@connorgibbard2 🤣🤣🤣🇨🇦
When the announcers are louder then the competition you make it about as excited as watching Golf. Its not that I dont appreciate some of whats being said, but I wanna hear them, I wanna hear the effort, the weights, not the announcers
Who took a GIF of turbo engines' blades and threw that on the screens?
Thor The Mountain?...which one? Mount Everest, Ben Nevis, K2...oh....all of em at the same time...I see!👊💥👍...and agree!
hahha @13:37 poor guy in blue shirt XD
Thor and Kieliszkowski were fun to watch. Mikhail was better. He beat a bunch of guys on one leg.
