What i find funny is in dead space 3, the rivet gun can actually be really good...but then again with the microtransactions everything can shoot nuclear weaponry.

I let myself use suit abilities tho (stasis/kinesis/melee), BUT I made it illegal to enter any Stores or Workbenches. Lv.0 suit, Lv.0 rivet gun lesgooo pure cbt. Every moment I played with it I wondered why the devs invented this godforsaken weapon. IT COST REAL MONEY? Personally, I wanna see you give my version of the challenge a go. You have to get really creative in some parts. I used a lot of tricks. Even learned a new mechanic about the final boss :o. If you run out of ammo, the mind children actually start dropping ammo. The devs put in a pity system lolol. No one I know is aware of this.
I did figure out the excavator thing during a later run. But they still managed to squeeze past it for me 🤷🏻♂️ Yeah, the fact that it costs money is kinda silly. It’s not a good gun whatsoever lol. Maybe one day I’ll revisit this one with your rule set :)

A full 10 stacks, _a full inventory,_ of rivet bolts could *_not_* kill it. I could've used the pity system I described, but it'd be extremely tedious, so I bit the bullet and "lost" - I used the workbench. I upgraded the DMG only. Even then, I only barely won with just enough ammo. But worth it to keep my sanity. Also, if you can't do the excavator trick, it's bc you have to physically hug the drill's flat side, at the area where you pick up the battery. I've done it enough times that now, I just alt+tab out of the game for 5 min while I wait for the kids to die and drop a metric ton of items/ammo. I haven't died yet, so it's pretty reliable.

i keep thinking of an old video where someone said they had a LOT of trouble with the last fight, because Nicole kept teleporting RIGHT behind him and taking his head off with ONE attack. i may be wrong, but i think the trick is to KEEP HER ON SCREEN, and she won't teleport.
@@ericb3157 I’ve never had that issue with her in any casual playthrough. You have more than enough time to attack before she gets close. Skill issue I guess lol
This is why I love video games, just the creativity and persistence can turn a game we've all beaten years ago into a new experience! Dead Space games are such bangers! The remake is one of my all time favorite games ever made!
I call that part, where the Conduit Access is in Chapter 13, the 3 levels of Hell. Because EA decided to put a f*** ton of them in a confined space like that with limited room to move around in. I always make sure I arrive at this chapter fully prepared with everything maxed out and upgraded; best suit, my top four weapons, more than enough health packs, ammo, nodes, credits, special items, and all. This chapter requires that, especially on Zealot difficulty. If there is any chapter, in this game, that I absolutely abhorred especially on Zealot it's Government Sector. From a Dead Space longtimer, man, since 2009! Nostalgia. :)
I remember on dead space 1 I thought it’d be a fun challenge to only use the plasma cutter not knowing it fucks late game after all the upgrades and makes the game pretty easy
First time watching but why impose no SKAM upon yourself? Rivet gun alone with SKAM would be a great challenge. No melee for breaking boxes and power lines is just dumb

You can do hardcore melee/tk only (no shop/bench/stasis/shooting). It's hard, but I've done it.
