"It's Never Too Late" is a fantastic Steppenwolf song that gets overlooked.
    Very, very soulful..

"Monster" is not only a Rock and Roll history lesson for America, it is as relevant today as it was fifty years ago. You must get around to it soon, as you continue your Steppenwolf journey. John Kay, the driving force behind the band, was raised in Canada, but he and his mother fled from a Communist country, which he sings about in the song "Renegade." Such a deep well to draw from with them. Have fun!

Steppenwolf's smash hit single "Rock Me" and a track off their 'At Your Birthday Party' album released back in 1969 is smokin; hot. The percussion instruments throughout the song enhances this banger.🎤🎸🎹🥁🪘🔊⚡🔥☮🎧

The sound of the 60's for sure. Steppenwolf was so BIG at the time, many hits and a great band to listen to for their message. This song was not so deep, but you were still movin' and groovin'.

What a great run this band had in the late 60's and early 70's. John Kay was German Canadian so this band counted as Canadian and it was played a lot up here.

The lyrics are not very deep in this one, but that's OK. A fun song. My father bought me this record when I was in 7th grade because I had a good report card. Cool ❤

Saw them with a new lead guitarist in about 1975(?) in Toronto. Always loved their intelligence and musicality. Faves include 'Rock Me', 'Monster', 'Magic Carpet Ride' and 'For Ladies Only'.
    Enjoy!!

My mom bought me steppenwolf live which had this song on it when I was 10 years old! It was a double album so that's why I picked it. Believe it or not back then I could play bass of this song! Not anymore. Peace!
