Hungarians are a fun army to paint and play. I remember the good ol' days when Warlord's website was easy to navigate and the prices weren't so jacked too.
Yeah I am looking forward to paint them but I’m still playing in the sand with the Italians first. Yeah there was a time when warlords prices made sense to me. Now if I buy warlord I end up buying on eBay from British sellers because their prices are converted from the pound to dollars , which is much cheaper than what warlord is listing online. Cheers!
Nice. I bought the Hungarians as well a few years ago during a Christmas sale. Still havent made them however. Working on US Paras and German SS/Heer. I got 2 Hungarian Infantry and 1 of their para units. Cant wait to paint them. I am a historical collector and gamer like yourself and do a ton of research prior to painting. I am trying to figure out best paint color for their uniforms. It looks brown in art but in pictures it has a green hue. 🤦🏻♂️
That must be the same sale I got mine from as the timing sounds about right. I won’t be working on these for awhile either. Got a load of other projects plus the Italians to finish. I think the uniforms that I’ve seen have either been straight up camo or a very dull brownish green.. which indeed in many cases looks brown. I think I’ll probably do an emulation of the troops paint job as seen on the back of the box set. Cheers and thanks for watching!
@@carthagemustbedestroyed keep up the good work. Been following your ancient battle stuff, like Clash of Spears. Your “how to’s” are helping me learn. Keep them coming.
Some nice looking sets. Made me chuckle at "maybe the sculpter just got better"
They have to after sculpting hundreds I imagine! I know the Perry’s Sure did.
