    never painted metal personally, is enamel paint recommend?

      No, just use the same acrylics you use for plastic. The best prep is •wash with dish soap, •use a metal primer (eg: mr metal primer) • primer as normal (i use white spray can type)

      You can use the same paint as with plastic
