In this episode of Dialing In... I take a look at using the new Legendary drive pedal model with a clean amp. I really enjoyed messing around with this great new model and putting together a little performance using this preset for lead and rhythm. HOLY CANOLI Jason!!! Wow that was amazing. Both the tone for this patch and your amazing speed playing there. this new pedal sure did take things from a 3 to a 9 real quick. Amazing what you can do with a few settings here and there. You rock man. You always blow us away. keep up the great work. Hi!!! Firstly must say how amazing and useful is your detailed info, that you give us about using all this stuff, can’t thanks enough! Also I see Yamaha silent guitar with nylon strings ) I have the same) it would be so cool and even unique if can show how you would use this guitar with Helix (like how you would setup input, and which one you will use, how you would shape tone, and you would suggest to use with it from fx ) thanks!

Sounds good! Can't wait to compare it to my actual Legacy. Ideally, if I set the controls exactly like how they are on my real amp, and run the Helix into the effects return of my Legacy, it should sound identical.
@@Stringprodigy Why not? If it's modeling the Legacy Drive pedal, and the pedal is essentially the preamp section of the Legacy, then when I substitute the actual preamp of the Legacy with the Helix model, why shouldn't it be the same thing, or close?

Great work. I have used a LOT of your advises.
It would be great if you find some time to explain an easy way to align output levels between different presets. I think its very difficult if I want to use several presets.

Could you do a video where you set up the Interstate Zed for a 4 snapshot setup? With the RS620 and the Tele? More of a country sound.
Great demo, sounds amazing! I would compare to my Legacy but I'm still on 2.6. I heard there are issues with the 2.9 update, I like what I have and don't need the issues...

line 6 will ever be able to create a sustainiac pickup effect for there products?
Tone's sounded great in isolation - kinda like Brad Paisley tries Speed Metal - but in the the play through at the end I lost touch with the lead tone, especially as you got down the lower strings. Perhaps the volume of the rhythm was a little too high or it just needed a bit more mixing but that's being picky. Both very usable tones which of course we could tweak to work with our own setup.

I didn't like the pedal, it's scooped and I can't get those mids back, at least for the 20 minutes I tried playing with it.
I always love the legacy Line 6 Drive. bass 30, mid 80 treble 40, can't go wrong there.
Wonder to match in the hx stomp. It take a lot of dsp so....i will gru. Thx for the video
