I have a baby violet opaline roseicollis (no idea if it's a male or female) , what mutation fo you recommend to pair him/her with?

Hi. I suggest you do a dna test to your bird(send some feathers to the lab) to know if it is a male or a female. You can pair any Agapornis roseicollis with him. It will depend of what mutations do you want to get. If you want to get blues, I suggest you pair it with a blue without any dark factor or violet.

The best results are subjective to what you are trying to accomplish and what are your plans. Each bird is different and it will always depende which caracteristics you are trying to work or improve, Its not always a matter a what mutation you should pair.
