My favorite is Morgan. My daughter is adopted from China and when I received her picture, it did not scream one gender. I thought she looked like a Morgan. But I went with my original name choice Amanda (worthy of love), and decided to let her grow into it, which she did.
SJ, have you ever done a baby name list based on the Dictionary of Medieval Names from European Sources? It’s a compilation of medieval given names from documents and literature and I sure you could find some really incredible ones in there!
Here in the states, Chris and Jordan may likely have made that list. My beautiful 16 month old grandson is Riley! My daughter recently did a search and found that Riley is now much more popular for girls than boys. This was a fun list! Thank you SJ.
I find it interesting how the name Angel is consider a like a "girls" name, in english speaking countries. I'm from Puerto Rico, and here also spelled Angel, read like ann-he-l (the same 'he' sound you make saying hello), is a common "boys" name.

Here in the stare of Indiana, we pronounce Milan as My-lun. My brother-in-law is named Robin and he is about 55. I’m pretty sure that it became popular from the Batman TV show in the late 60s and 70s. It is cool how names make their rounds!!! 😃
I wonder if the popularity of Georgie was at all influenced by the recent film It, from the Stephen King novel? Georgie is such a cutie pie little boy, the little brother of a main character, but has a sad story :( I first read the book 30 years ago when I was in junior high school, and I actually love the name because of him!
My daughter’s name is Harley and I’m obsessed with it. I also love the name Quinn but I feel like I can’t use it now for my next baby because of the character Harley Quinn😩
my granddaughter's middle name is Morgan, after her mother's surname. My son and his wife chose to be surprised by baby's sex upon delivery, but had chosen the neutral middle name ahead.
I've always loved Bailey for a girl! Probably because I met a Bailey who was really lovely. Love that it's both a bit edgy but also soft and sweet in my opinion
I know 2 Frankies but both are monikers of their registered names (Francesca ♀ and Francis ♂) The Milan I know is pronounced Me-la (n) with just a hint of the n at the end.He is French.

I love gender neutral names! I really want to name a daughter Darcy because it's just such a wonderful name. But I also love Remy, Sutton, Emery, Oakley, Sawyer, and Sloane. Not all works that well in Sweden (where I live) but I'm sure that if I have a girl it will be Darcy, Frankie, or Sloane. Love those names. Love Frankie for a boy too,
Idk but im not a fan gender neutral names for boys, but i love them for girls. Im having a girl in November and i was really liking Rowan for her but my husband likes Wren a bit more. So we will most likely go with that. I was trying to get him on bored with Scottie. I love it for a girl.
You could try Skadi, which is pronounced the same. It's not an invented spelling. It's the name of a Scandinavian Goddess associated with winter, skiing, bowhunting and mountains. Skadi Wren would be pretty!
Funny cuz I feel like a lot of names we now consider gender neutral started as boys names. People used them for girls and here we are. But as a society we are less likely to give a boy a name we consider "girlish".
I think most of the names on my baby name list are gender neutral. I’m already pretty sure of first names for my first boy & girl, but may use of the gender neutral names on my list for my first girl’s middle name. My first boy’s middle name will depend on my future husband’s first name, as it’s a tradition on my dad’s side to give the father’s first name as a middle name to the first son in the family.
RoWan too similar to RoMan - both names really popular now and get muddled up all the time as lots of babies with either name. Both Rowan and Roman racing up the top 100, jump many places each year. Too trendy now sadly.
One off my sons middle names is Hartley that was my grannies brothers name xx my dad was Henry and so my grandad they got Harry lovely names for children now xx
Our baby boy is due any time now (36 weeks) his middle name is Kalem one of our good friends passed away (actually on the same day we found out we were pregnant) we’ve been waiting 4 years for baby boy and he was conceived via reciprocal IVF. so far our top two names are Luca and Leo. Any other suggestions?
My husband loves the name Casey for a boy and I think it would work in North America where Casey is very gender neutral but I think here in the U.K. Casey is much more a girls name. What do you think?
I love gender neutral names. love the name Shay. I also love Grayson but it’s too popular for my liking. I recently saw Gracyn for a girl and thought that was cute.
Surprised how many I like! Amari, Avery, Harlow (mum's maiden name is Barlow), Wren, River, Blake, I like 😁 all gender neutral but think still prefer for one particular gender. Morgan is one of my favorite names. I love it more for a girl as I think its just a bit more different and edgy for a girl. Actually love this list. Sydney is another favorite. I'm the same way. I tend to like heavily gendered names even though unisex is popular and my own name is unisex
Fab list. I really thought elliot or wyatt would be in the top 2 and they didn't appear.... So interesting. 💕
Yes Wyatt is big for girls now that Ashton and Mila named their daughter that.
Oooh adding Avery to my ever growing list!!
It’s lush isn’t it!!! Maybe a nickname option for the girls?
What would the longer name be if this is the nickname? Love it!
Love Frankie for a boy too,
Sloane would be such a cool middle name for Darcy! Darcy Sloane! Love it 🤞you get to use it somewhen
@@emilyxx6689 ooohh that’s a fantastic idea!
I know a baby girl Darcy and Emery and babysit a baby girl Sutton
I would have thought that Olive would be on the list but is it considered to be more of a feminine name?
Khai, Ryan, Lennox, Azariah, Teagan, Charlie, Adrien, Hayden are my fav. neutral names😊
@@wildnfearless9840 that's beautiful!
I can’t see Georgie on a grown man
One off my sons middle names is Hartley that was my grannies brothers name xx my dad was Henry and so my grandad they got Harry lovely names for children now xx
What about a long first name to make a good flow? Leonardo Kalem, Lorenzo Kalem, and Lysander Kalem came to mind.
If you like Leo what about Leander?
I adore the name Avery but prefer it for a girl, has a very feminine sound to me.
I also like Aubrey, Riley, Harley, and Blake!
😆 we have a Morgan Charlie and Robyn all girls x
can you pleaaaaase do a video of baby names based off of tv show characters and like movies and stuff that would be awesome
Like idea of boys name for a girl but also feel I love too many feminine names 🤔 love lots of these for rabbits as well as baby list
My 16 year old niece Falicia Suzanne. Is changing her name to a more gender neutral name. Robin Ray. 😊♥️
Morgan is one of my favorite names. I love it more for a girl as I think its just a bit more different and edgy for a girl. Actually love this list. Sydney is another favorite. I think Place names can honestly work for either a boy or a girl. I have a Boston and I know its been sued as a girl name before same with Brooklyn, Sydney, Milan, Rome etc. Love Avery, Taylor, Casey and Remy. Actually I love most the names of this list haha
