What is the unit of concentration for the calculation of 'a'

you can take any unit.. here in case of sodium benzoate and caffeine .. in this example.. its taken ppm i.e. microgram per ml. Whatever unit you take same will be used for the concentration which you get after using that absorptivity value. Feel free to ask if something is not clear.

Hi Zulfina, Usually assay by UV is mostly based on absorbance or difference absorbance or derivative absorbance. In chromatography, you can take AUC and use it further for quantitation. You can refer to the video on chromatography where this method is explained.
