What happened to Islam after the death of the Prophet Muhammad? Well, there were succession crises, assassinations, conquests, and rebellions. This time of expansion and turmoil was lead by the Rashidun, or the "Rightly Guided" Caliphs. Men who personally knew the prophet, and are recognized by all Muslims as genuine successors to Muhammad. But short sighted mistakes would lead to the end of the Rashidun Caliphate, and the Birth of the Umayyad Caliphate.

@quotetheraven90 u r wrong both r hated except a few of the caliphs from the both dynasty. Muslims often call there caliphate as malukuyat = regime becuz the forced themselves upon everyone and when someone didn't except them they would kill. Even madina was raided and later many of Prophets followers were martyred. And Abbasids were more into worldly affairs and they forced the first Imam Abu Hanifa into becoming his Qazi= judge which he refused and was later poisoned.

Too many mistakes and use of fabricated narrations:
    1. The biggest contenders for the next Caliph were Abu Bakr, Umar and Saad ibn Ubada at Saqifah. After 3 days of heated debate there was a consensus under the companions of prophet Muhammad and the whole people of Madinah (of course including Ali).
Ali fully accepted the decision and was content with it. Some may argue that he came late to give Abu Bakr the pledge of allegiance but this only happened, because Ali was busy of the funeral procession of the prophet since he was part of the family.
And also from where did you get this that Aisha didnt allow to see the Prophet? Also the narrations of the hatred between them are too weak, because of the chain of narrators.
Also a sidenote: Neither Abu Bakr nor Ali had any intent on becoming the next Caliph. It was Umar who took Abu Bakrs hand gave him the pledge of allegiance in front of the Ansaar who then also gave him the pledge.
    2. The narrations about Umar and Fatima are weak and this is a well known fact by the science of hadith.
And let's say this event really happened then that would mean that Ali was a weak man who couldn't even confront the man who beat his wife and killed his child.
But as it is already established in the narrations that Ali was a man of honour and would immediately kill the man who even would only dare to touch the daughter of the Prophet! This story in itself is very contradictory and made up.
    3. The tribes did indeed become apostates not because some few of them didnt recognise Abu Bakrs leadership. But because they refused to accept that paying the zakah is obligatory! And some tribeleaders even called themselves prophet at the time of prophet Muhammad! So the war against the apostates began de facto at the end of his lifetime!
    4. The wars with the byzantine empire and persian empire was not something so easy to accomplish by some desert bois. You have to remember that these two were the superpowers at that time. And the muslims almost all of the time were extreme under number. For example the battle of Yarmouk: Muslims=24,000-40,000 , Byzantines=100,000-200,000.
It was only surprising for these superpowers that the desert people after hundreds of years finally wanted to go out and challenge the whole world.
They couldn't comprehend the reasoning behind it. In todays age it would be like Ireland taking on the Soviet-Union and the USA.
    5. The only reason of Uthman being favored over Ali was because his style of jurisprudence. Since Uthman promised to take on the same jurisprudence as Umar. The people of the Islamic State at that time were already used to the jurisprudence of 10 years by Umars time. And Ali chose to use his style of jurisprudence. Of course normally this would favor him over Uthman, because this means he is confident with his own jurisprudence! Jurisprudence= Ijtihad.
Wow I'll stop here since there are so many invented and weak narrations used in this video.
I don't know why the Uploader used exactly the weak and fabricated narrations but I'll leave it as that.
I recommend everyone to read for yourselves the history books written by well established scientists who of course only use strong narrations. This is also the beauty of science of narrations. Because of that you will know which story is fabricated and which one is authentic.
To give you some names: Ibn Ishaq, At-Tabary, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Hisham.

We were taught that the question of leadership immediately after the death of Mohammad, was settled by cultural custom: leadership was settled upon by a pre-Islamic custom of election of the oldest member. Abu Bakr was the oldest tribal leader, hence, the majority settled leadership on him, even though Mohammad had said that Ali and his descendants, Mohammad's grandchildren, were chosen.

While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allah for `Umar bin Al-Khattab who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said, "(O `Umar!) May Allah bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allah will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "I, Abu Bakr and `Umar were (somewhere). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar did (something). I, Abu Bakr and `Umar set out.' So I hoped that Allah will keep you with both of them." I turned back to see that the speaker was `Ali bin Abi Talib.

You need to actually read up on the arabic side of the story.. The english version of events is distorted and sometimes flat out wrong and from my abysmal memory I can point out sone mistakes.. However the one that bothered me the most was the Mohammed gave his tribe control of the kaaba.. Wrong.. He gave it to the tribe that had cared for the kaaba since before he was a prophet and that tribe still controls it to this day and that tribe was not his own "bani hashem / hashemites", can't remember their name though.. They're famous though.. Shouldn't be hard to find.. But you need to go through the older arabic books for more accurate information.. Old arabic prints are getting harder and harder to find and command ridiculous prices for their value.. As they are far more trustworthy.

Hey dude, I am a Muslim and I believe that you had done a VERY WRONG thing. (not sayin in a mad way, just mentioning.)
To address the Shia-Sunni thing: almost all of both sects agree with the idea that images of Muhammad and the prophets should not be produced. There might be some small, random minority cult that thinks its okay, but it would not be part of either Shia or Sunni ideology.
Muslims also do not approve of images of Jesus, Moses and Abraham (I don't really see images of Abraham). However, as we are required to be tolerant of other religions, and other religions feel the need to worship Jesus or create images of Moses, it is not our right to protest these or ban them. Since images of Muhammad are not made for religious needs, and images of Muhammad are not allowed by Islam, we can protest them. Non-Muslims are making images of Muhammad all the time that are not protested by Muslims, because non-Muslims can do whatever they want. It is when Muhammad is being insulted that Muslims peacefully protest against it (here I will add before anyone ignorant enough cleverly mentions: the radicalized murderers do not deserve to lumped in with the general "Muslims" even though they think they do).
Additionally, images of Jesus, Moses, Abraham etc are banned by Muslims for other Muslims to produce. (For example, churches in Pakistan have statues of Jesus, but the state would never approve of a Muslim-made movie portraying Jesus).

The Arabic words are grossly mispronounced and أبو طالب was not connected in your diagram, nor الخوارج. However, much of your narrative many specialists in Islamic history would agree with. Much of your narrative about the Succession of the Rashidun Caliphate is mere speculation and hotly debated. Its far from being that simple. The Ridda wars had nothing to do with tribes breaking away from Abu Bakr per se, but rather with their unwillingness to pay tax (zakah) to the new Islamic polity. They denied a religious obligation ordained in Quran, therefore they were apostates. Its also hotly debated as to why the Islamic conquests were so successful, some cite recent urban plagues, some cite wars of attrition between the Byzantines and Sassanids, whereas Christian sectarianism was of little concern to most historians. There was really no division of the Caliphate between 'Ali and Mu'awiyyah, it was essentially Mu'awiyyah who held all practical power. Your video comes across as very biased leaning towards Orientalist-Revisionist and Shi'i historiographies.

Any sane and righteous man would've gone to war against the pagans.
If war booty and power were his goal, he would've had that ages ago. His own enemies offered him wealth, women, and power in exchange for him leaving Islam. They were actually shocked when it was found out that he refused to accept their offers. Whatever he acquired through war/conquests is way less than that what was offered to him before he declined them.

The project never said her read the most perfect of God’s messengers, the Quran clearly states that there is no difference amongst god messengers or cute little edit should be removed.
While there were battles that weakened the regions that were conquered everyone conveniently forgets that the stands were at a perpetual state of war themselves for centuries right before the prophet there was a 40 year long war called harb albassus and the Arabs never faced large armies and were never equipped equally as they were, and lacking general man power. The reason for the war should also be stated as initially between client Arab kingdoms of Byzantine and Sassanids stacked the Arabs first the lakhmids and their rivals.
Ayesha was possibly forced into the battle of the camel against her will, being detained by ibn al zubayr and others and having no more leadership role, more is a symbolic one. Abu lulua was a Christian, him being in the capital is a great mystery because Omar specifically banned all foreigners from being there for security, he was possibly an umayyad agent, Umayyads being the ruling elite clan of the quraysh before Islam lends credence to this and their ascension.
Marawan was the one responsible for writing the letter, Ali was also from quraysh. The Hashemites weren’t appointed by the prophets for the kaaba, they already were the keepers of the kaaba and simply remained that way. Ali wasn’t weakened by the camel, he was forced into arbitration by the kharijites in his own army when muawiyas soldiers put Quran at the end of their Spears. There’s no argument against Othman coming the Quran, it’s well attested for by carbon dating.

  • @IbnEmadAlmouaibed
    @IbnEmadAlmouaibed 2 года назад

I apologize but this is largely inaccurate and very much mistaken on many of instances that are too numerous to name all but I shall name a few.
The contention of the succession to Muhammad was only challenged by the Ansar of Medina who saw that the caliph should be one of them and they elected Saad ibn Ubada. The meccans who were represented by Abu Bakir, Umar and Abu Ubaida disagreed and saw that caliph should be one of them as they held a stronger position with the rest of the Arabs and that this would be the smoothest transition of power and that this would the right way to maintain stability. The people of Medina agreed and so what was left was to decide who of the Meccans would rule. Abu Bakir nominated both Umar and Abu Ubaida and told the Ansar to choose one but Umar and Abu Ubaida disagreed and thought that Abu Bakir was best qualified (owing to a number of clear reasons that require a few paragraphs to fully explain) and so it was that the Ansar pledged allegiance to Abu Bakir and the rest of people whom were not present did the following day. Now we ask where was Ali during all of this? He was busy preparing for the prophets funeral so he was not present during the talks on who should be caliph. It was also noted that Ali was late in pledging allegiance to Abu Bakir when he was asked why by Abu Bakir he said that he was upset that the discussions happened without him having a say if and that it wasn’t because he wished to be caliph. The idea that there was any hatred between these two men is laughable. This is also shown clearly during Umar accession to caliph in which some were upset that Umar had been chosen because he was known to be strict and some feared he maybe to strict to lead. Ali defended Umar saying “I have often heard the prophet say that he was in the company of Abu Bakir and Umar or that he had been out with Abu Bakir and Umar, these two men were his closest friends” this clearly means that he viewed them both as worthy to rule. Not to mention that Ali named 3 of his sons after Abu Bakir Umar and Othman, why would he do that if he had hated them?
This is just one instance of a mistake in this video, it would be too long to refute it all but rest assured that much of what he said is false and has no historical evidence
You may ask for sources of individual facts which I have mentioned, I also didn’t include them all since I mentioned more than one and I didn’t know how to cite them without it being confusing.

actually it was ali, even sunni sources agree that ali was the first male convert. however they try to degrade his status by saying that ali was the first young MAN and that abu bakr was the first MAN. but by gender, they agree that ali was the first MALE.
