Back when they didn’t babysit the customer. Now you’re expected to give the customer a reach-around

Ahhh man.... A lot places expected you get on your knees and kowtow to every dumb f**k who walked through their door, even back then.

Now they walk you to the location if you ask where something is, it's always awkward and I'd rather find it myself. That's most of the reason I don't ask anyone where something is anymore, I just need some info not a new buddy.

Just look at those aisles of toys!! Nothing today compares to TRU in its golden age. What a time to be a child in the 80's and 90's. I miss THIS era of TRU so very much.

Keeping the store clean... that's a new one... in the final years they were dumps and the employees were not great either.

That's the result of a private equity firm cutting hours and freezing wages. Pay bottom-barrel prices, get bottom-barrel workers.

I miss toys r us. It’s just sad there isn’t a chain store for toys anymore. Target or Walmart isn’t the same.

For real. Target and Wal-Mart just don't have the same awesome vibe Toys R Us had.

i worked at toys r us for about a decade and the very first guy should have walked her over to the product so he could answer any more questions she had.
Second person should have helped the guy choose, etc
