we actually dont have aldi here in northern ireland so i made my mum, who lives in england, buy some baby yarn for me!! i got a big 12 pack that has 4 bright yellow, 4 lilac and 4 antique white, very excited to use!!!

They had kits once. I know there are 2 Aldis...not sure how it works. If the Aldi that gets yarn in one and the other Aldi is in US cause it owns Trader Joe's.
@@ourcreativebeehive i heard brothers own them one Aldi's and the other Trader Joe's. They have sold kits a few years ago and yarn once. I was able to get the kits, but not the yarn.

I also got the baby yarn from Aldi but mine was the solid colours 12 balls in a pack for £10.99 which was a really good deal love your yarn haul

Even though Aldi is a German based store they do not carry yarn on a regular basis in Germany. Only once or twice sock yarn as a special offer. I wish I could shop and buy in the UK. Thank for the review.
That's so crazy!! The yarn brand "so crafty" must be UK based!
Claudia maybe you can explain why there are 2 Aldi companies?? I figured that is why some get yarn and some do not.
@@ourcreativebeehive The two Aldi brothers split Germany at first into Aldi South and Aldi North areas where they opened the stores. Then they expanded into other European countries and overseas. They even had different merchandise.. The Logo only blue and white is Aldi North, the one like in the UK is Aldi South. For the last two years they offer more and more the same merchandise in Germany.
By the way, Trades Joe's in the US is Aldi North. Have a great day.

I have yet to buy it cause I've done sooooo much yarn shopping that my mother is a bit fed up. Hoping to get some for my birthday or Christmas if it's not all gone by then. Aldi is such an amazing place.

+A couple years ago I knitted a scarf for a teacher who was having a baby from the baby yarn. It was variegated ( white with random splotches of blue, red, yellow and orange ) I somehow managed to use the variegated bits to make stripes of each colour but I have no idea how my year 2 brain figured that out.

I'm going to have to see if anyone in the United States carries that yarn...it is such a soft looking yarn & I also love the colors!

@@Rambutinaa I've only seen yarn there twice and it was over two years ago. They didn't have a lot. I bought all of it both times. 😁
I don't think Aldi does any baby yarn any more :( hopefully they bring it back. Do you know of any other baby yarn which is affordable in the UK? Also I dislike the feel of velvet so I'm after baby yarn which has a soft fleecey or plushie texture and not velvetty, do you know which baby yarns I should get/avoid? Thank you!!
i bought yarn in aldi and its a bracing blue colour and there was like not many choices which was kind of sad but i think there was a pink colour too and thinking back to that time, i should have picked that too lol

I was at ALDI here in the US yesterday and saw no yarn!! If i had i would have bought some! Oh my gosh! I wonder if we even get this event here? They only put our ALDI in a couple of years ago and i have to drive back o another city to go there! So worth it though!
Unfortunately this event is only UK! I have a feeling the yarn brand "So Crafty" is Uk based! It would be so cool if they carried it over to US though! 🌟
Lisa Aldi is split in 2. One half owns Trader Joe's too. Figured that is why we do not get yarn.

I agree!! It's not stretchy at all! I only crochet with this yarn now
@@Rambutinaa yes I don’t know how to crochet but when knitting I find because it’s not separate fibres it digs into my finger and it’s quite painful

@@Rambutinaa I checked but there's no search field on their site and yarn isn't in one of their categories. I thought I've seen where some in the US get yarn from Aldi but maybe they are on e the East Coast. idk
