Yeah that's the kind of humor that I think is missing from new South Park. That character based comedy built off the situation as it plays out, it feels like a situation that could only happen with Jimmy's innocents. I think it also helps that the extra characters where voiced by different people, adds a little spice to it all.

They smoked 13 Bloods by blowing up the convenience store, but there's 14 Bloods at the store if you pause and count. This is actually genius, because later in this episode, the Bloods hit Jimmy's house with a drive-by _later that same night._ So one of the Bloods in the parking lot survived the explosion and was able to identify Jimmy to the rest of the group.

Fun fact, Matt Stone and Trey Parker ran out of black actors to do the voice over for the gangsters in this episode, and went out of the studio and walked the streets until they found a random group of black men to come back to the studio to do the voice work.
I just love the part with the cops asking jimmy and Timmy “what the bell do you think you’re doing?” And when jimmy answers them they just look at each other and leave hahahaha like seriously I could actually see some cops nowadays doing that it’s so perfect

Having grown up disabled and outside the US and been called a cripple and a crip a lot at school, I was confused to learn about the Crips as I got older and really appreciated this episode when it aired. My only complaint is that they didn't make Timmy and Jimmy's affiliation a running gag - but that would, of course, have been difficult (zing!)

The new seasons are missing jokes that aren't important but are still relevant to the plot. A lot of the jokes now are used to drive the plot forward which is nice but life has little things happen that don't matter but are still funny, like them getting gingerale and marshmallows when they were already getting in.
The first time I saw this episode I laughed so hard I fell off the couch crying. It’s priceless. I love the episode where Caesar Milan comes to train Cartman.
