How the hell were you NOT interested in Darkseid’s entire revelation that he’s just the ultimate Avatar of The Great Darkness and had to indirectly help the heroes after Doomsday Clock due to Dr Manhattan’s undoing of the New 52 freeing him from Multiversal constraints?!
@@thomaskilroy4573Because what you say is quite strange and mixed. It wasn’t until Rebirth when Manhattan finally undid New 52 and his meddling with the timelines that Darkseid’s True Form was finally able to be completed again and after Doomsday Clock, he suddenly realised that he was actually just the ultimate Avatar for The Great Darkness who is the Evil side of The Presence. When the God of all Evil found out he is just the self aware aspect of a larger Omnipotent being, it messed him up. That’s basically what led to this. Darkseid’s identity crisis has finally reached its conclusion.
If Darkseid is seeking to end his life, does that mean that this was his true form, not an avatar, doing this? Because if it isn’t, then dying doesn’t really matter.
As explained in the special and Scott Synder a ton leading up (for context): The basis here is that the main DC Universe is run on "Superman Energy" or in other words hope and in it Darkseid is fated to be a constant counter balance to hope where he keeps it in check, but ultimately always looses. The issue also goes into some stuff that's been explained in DC before, namely how there's just one Darkseid and instead of there being other multiverse versions, this one Darkseid is just stretched across the multiverse. So Darkseid has always been made weaker by that fact. However now he is temporarily massively powered up because of the events of Absolute Power (during which the multiverse was blocked off for now) after which he became one again. In killing himself he could break free from the cycle. Leading to a more permanently powerful Darkseid and a universe run on *Darkseid Energy* (so very much opposite of hope).
No. Darkseid is literally Evil itself. If he created the Absolute Universe then it’s essentially Evil itself creating the Absolute Universe. So by that thinking, the Absolute Universe should be OUR universe and as realistic as humanly possible.

So then darkseid is basically creating stronger heroes to fight in order to raise his skill even further. @@SonicForgesAll New Gods do. They are living ideas. Those ideas exist in every universe because they exist beyond the Multiverse and influence it as a whole. Darkseid is the source of all evil which basically means every single DC villain is a side-effect of his influence since without Darkseid evil wouldn’t even exist. In Final Crisis he destroyed the entire Multiverse just by accidentally falling on top of it and crushing it beneath his weight. Plus Gotham is only as bad as it is because a tiny fragment of his essence possesses every version of the city across the Multiverse like a demon drawing evil towards it. His name isn’t Darkseid just for show. It’s literally what he is. He’s the “Dark Side” of DC.
pls stop bullying darkseid i mean he got bullied so much he basically pulled a dc version of i'm gonna build a cabin in the woods and be alone with my figurines(not dolls!) guys just stop, looking at you justice league.
Not to be nitpicky, but I dont like that DC is treating the Spectre as just 'some powerful spirit' and thats it. Hes literally supposed to be a spirit of God's vengeance, or wrath upon those deserving it. You shouldnt be able to wrestle that power away from someone else, let alone harness it. Injustice doing it was weird, and this one doing it feels just as weird. Its like the Spectre's origin doesnt matter to the writers, and they just want a 'big power boost' that they can give randomly... even if it comes at the cost of a character's nuance. The moment Darkseid gets anything close to that power, the Presence shouldve just said 'yeah, no' and given it back to Corrigan. Because that power doesnt come from itself, but from an outside power.
What I don't like about this and the only thing I don't like about this is it's not original. This is an old Darksied story. He travels into the fall future looking for a way to die and collecting all these holy and magic objects. He gets them all together and you find out that he just wants to die.

I'd have rather the absolute universe be a more prominent version of Earth 3
Who even cares what kind of baloney they're up to at this point its all grimderp
Darkseid really just wanted to retire.
He really wanted that pension
Such crazy, good written story so far. I need to get my hands on this
The art is beautiful
Is this prime Darkseid, or one from another universe? Same for the Spector, if Darkseid has The Spector's power, he can do a lot worse than make a new earth.
Prime Darkseid
All Darkseid’s are “Prime Darkseid’s”. Darkseid exists outside the Multiverse. Every Emanation and Avatar of him is equally as important and active.
@@josephdent6825 OH crap!😨
@@thomaskilroy4573 I knew he was powerful, but he exists outside of the multiverse?!
It’s kinda funny how in order to get a win. Darkseid leaves the mainline Multiverse to create his own and has to kill himself just to do it.
I’m really interested in where these versions of the characters will go.
Bro wanted smoke so bad he hit ng+ to try and get another run back
DarkCeid made the most interesting DC universe
So he's finally fulfilled his wish .And the wish of the fans about Darksied true form 😂.
So far this sounds like a happy ending for darkseid 😂
TORMENT difficulty unlocked
Difficulty:Nightmare mode
*He could just restart as a*
*Human Baby*
w/ Memories Locked or Unlocked
pls stop bullying darkseid i mean he got bullied so much he basically pulled a dc version of i'm gonna build a cabin in the woods and be alone with my figurines(not dolls!) guys just stop, looking at you justice league.
Darkseid just wanted to reset his character but ended up ramping up the difficulty.
So Darkseid was the Wall of Flesh the whole time.
The 'absolute' universe is where - Darkseid rules absolutely?
So... he in sense erases himself, and put the DC heroes in Hell difficulty... essentially.
This sounds like Darkseid decided to take what Superman did in final crisis to try and do it himself for his own gains
And the machine was made from 6 stones that when combined with his gauntlet.... whoops wrong villain.
It makes no sense. And it seems pointless
Just finished reading this one-shot and I can't wait to read the new comics set in this universe.
whats the name of this comic
All he’s doing is adding to the multiverse, but I’m okay with that. I’m super excited to see a middle class Batman
Kalibak can not catch a break
