Ken Davis is a Christian motivational/inspirational speaker so he is very well known to Christian conference venues, Christian radio/TV etc. He has not generally done the stand-up comedian circuit.
I grew to love Ken's personal brand of humor nearly twenty years ago. He is a fantastic comedian and speaker. If you've seen enough of his work, you know what he likes to say, say it with me: "I'm not ok. And you're not ok. But that's ok, because He (God) loves us anyway."

I have an American Staffordshire Terrier (aka “pit bull”). When the first person said “Yorkie” my immediate thought was “not a real dog”. I died when he said it out loud 😂😂😂

My doggie, miniature dachshund, crossed the rainbow bridge last September. I had him 16 years. He acted like a chihuahua, until he was about 13. He just laid around mostly. Haven't replaced him. Not sure I will.
Lol we have several small dogs, they're great pets but he's right about the German shepherd. My mom had a German shepherd and he was very protective of her. He loved me but boy if I acted like I was gonna mess with mom he'd go into defense mode, he was smart though and he would try to defuse the situation or see if we were messing with him. He also would protect the little guy in my display pic. Yeah he was awesome but sadly, a couple years ago a prick that hated him and lived on our street saw and took the opportunity to hit him with his car, rolled him he died a year later. One of the saddest moments in my life was burying him. My dog and the other little ones wouldn't leave his side the night he died.
I didn't have any pets growing up, so my very first dog was very special. Her mama was a long haired Jack Russel & her daddy was half Shitzu & half Yorkshire. I told people she was my Jackshit Yorkie! How's that for a new dog breed? 🤣
Sometimes the truest things are the funniest. My mom had almost nothing but small dogs including Chihuahua's. These types of jokes are what she endured constantly & they were justified too.
Hehe. Real dog? Got you, man. Saint Bernard. Almost 200 pounds of slobber and sweetness. A bear by any other name. Traveling with a dog. Yes. Tell you what. Take a drive with a Saint Bernard in a VW Beetle. There's absolutely nothing that can create more smiles.
I have an old English mastiff and a South African borbel mastiff over 300 lbs of love and protection name for one Remington after a gun 2nd is Ranger Winchester again after a gun aka Ranger is the beast just like the movie sandlot. True about hotel we showed up to and told my husband we're leaving...went to Hilton garden inn and welcomed my dogs. And loved them so much still go back to just visit and say HI
My dog is a shih tzu mix(not sure what he's mixed with just know it's a bigger dog with a big head😅) and I already can hear what he might say about him😅 The other dog is a golden retriever mix(not sure either) The others are a mixture of the first two He'd probably say the rest of them have an identity crises,😂
So if my house were broken into I would be confident that my yorkie would put his life on the line to protect it even if he is the size of the persons foot. Pretty my gsd would trip over himself running away
I never got the appeal either until I got a toy poodle. Smallest dog ever, but also the most affectionate I've ever owned. I've had Rottweilers and Spaniels in the past, which are great, but toy breeds are lower maintenance and a lot of fun. And she sure makes up for size in personality!
You bet! I just rescued a huge lab running down the road. The minute I brought him into the house, my 8 pound Chihuahua tried to attack him in my defense. Fearless.
I watched a friends chihuahuas for a few days and honestly I was more scared that I would accidently break them....soooo I carried them everywhere. I also met another chihuahua named Diesel who got lose and went running into the horse paddock. He didn't get hurt, but he gave 4 people and one horse a heart attack that day. 😮
Mostly they're just really annoying, yapping at and bothering (and like you said attacking) people that are minding their own business. They barely have more brain power than a football. And on a completely unrelated note I can kick a football really far, so a football would be terrible at protecting things.
My truck broke down once while I was on a road trip and I needed to find a hotel where I was at that would let me and my dog stay there while my truck got fixed. Found a cheap one and when I got there it turned out to be a hotel with prostitutes standing out front of there rooms. My dog is really friendly and was trying to say hi as we walked passed them. I'm panicking trying to drag him passed them hoping they won't touch my dog because i know where their hands have been. I wish nicer hotels had dog accommodations
