We did that part of Ireland , we called into a village called County Wicklow where they did the filming of Bellkissangle back in the 2000 and the were still filming . We love the country the wee villages and some of those pub were fabulous , so when you are down that way you have to try a Murphy stout , ( it will be a sin if you don’t ) , I like that better then the Guinness , safe travels cheers John c ( nz)
We found food very expensive in local shops except whippy ice creams which were always large and very cheap. Aldi more reasonable but we shopped in Irish shops if we could. The WAW route is a wow! and with a smaller van it's poss to explore pretty well every narrow grass up the middle lane to the sea. Very few rubbish bins anywhere, no litter and weed filled gutters as in Wiltshire.
Cobh is beautiful. If you time it when there is a cruiseship in you will enjoy it. There is entertainment in the pubs and on the streets, all geared up for the ships.

Hi there, remember the potato saga has ion hating peeling. A tip for you on how not to peel. Put the potatoes whole with skin on in boiling water, par boil, then take them out, slice the skin thinly all round the middle and peel the skin off. Job done 😊
