See for me Jason was never scary. He just seemed like a big dope. Michael on the hand was more creepy. When his victims would run he’d simply walk calmly and let their own idiocy get them trapped. Plus i always loved Michael’s mask. The fact it was a Shatner mask made it more human like and therefore more creepy versus a simple hockey mask. And i loved the simplicity of his weapon of choice being the kitchen knife. Most of all though i have a fond memory as a small child on one of my sleepovers we watched the original Halloween and the ending when Michael’s seemingly lifeless body vanished in the end always creeped me out. He always has been and always will forever be my most favorite horror icon 👍

When I was like 12 I was home alone watching scream and my cousin somehow snuck in dressed up in full ghost face attire with the big kitchen knife and scared me so bad I couldn’t even run. I loved horror movies as a child, still do. Freddy Kreuger was always my favorite of the slashers. First horror movie I saw was as a very young child was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, my parents were going to watch that and wanted to send me to bed early so I wouldn't get nightmares and I disagreed and wanted to watch the movie, my dad negotiated a deal with me, I could watch it but if I had nightmares I was done with horror movies until I was older. Watched the movie, went to bed, according to my dad that was the best sleep I had in a while. Horror movies were allowed for me without question after that.
