To prevent organization of agrarian labor leading to uprising, plantation owners designed a process that would forever define the barriers of lower classes to upper classes. The barrier of racism developed in America as a dividing force between indentured servants and slavery. Race does not determine cognitive, physical or intellectual ability or inability as it is a pure social construct. The social boundaries exist today and are stronger than since before the Civil Rights Act. Racism is the implicit driver of the division of conservatism and liberalism today.
