so uhhh sorry for disappearing for, like, a whole year, whoops! much like my sterek video, I had a bunch of WIPS I should be finishing, and I instead got a harebrained idea and churned this bad boy out in like a day. ta-da, I suppose.
as a side note, I don't actually typically headcanon stiles as aroace. I usually consider him bisexual or biromantic asexual, but I cannot deny that he has some real big aroace moments and lines throughout the show that I just love. and if you do headcanon him as aroace, that's cool too y'all! as an a-spec myself, I crave any aro and/or ace content and representation wherever I can get it! (I'll even make it myself, if I have to)

It’s actually quite refreshing seeing a character in a teen show who isn’t obsessed with sex and dating, compared to the other hormonal sex crazed characters.
Everyone else was mostly focusing on their relationships and yanking off their shirts all the time and having steamy scenes and I was like…“way to make a show so shallow smh” even when he and Malia got together, they weren’t sex crazed or anything. Their relationship was actually really sweet

@@aceinspacexx i don't see aro and ace as spectrums and i think that waters down the experience of actual aromantic asexual people who can be completely alienated from the regular life experience, there's a spectrum between asexual and allosexual/aromantic and alloromantic (which demi and gray are in) but ace and aro are the very end of it
the best way i've seen it described is ace and aro are 0, allo is 100, and demi or gray people could be anywhere on the spectrum inbetween so they might relate more to aro/ace or they might relate more to allos
anyway all that aside i still don't see stiles as anything but your garden variety bi, but its up to other people how they interpret it!
@@evie3978 I didn't mean for it to come off that way, sorry if I offended you in some way !!! what I mean by spectrum is that, well, the definition of both are little to no ______ attraction. so in my mind that means that some people might have quite a bit but not as much as allo ppl, while others have absolute full 0. if ace/aro was absolute 0, there wouldn't be the "little to no" in the definition, if that makes sense?? that's how I see it ^^
but either way, it's really up to the person. if you feel the label works that way for you and how you feel then that's perfectly fine! :D

For those of you who are asking, "what is aroace?"
Aroace is a term to describe someone who is both aromantic and asexual. Aromantic means you do not experience romantic attraction, and asexual means you do not experience sexual attraction. This does NOT mean you cannot want or partake in romantic and/or sexual relationships. Aromantic and asexual are NOT the same thing, although there can often be overlap in experiences.
As someone who is also aroace, I thought it would be fun to share my favorite moments where Stiles reminds me of myself. And hello to all my fellow a-specs (a-spec = asexual/aromantic spectrum)! I see you and I love you! :)

Well Jeff didn’t think that consent was important apparently, which is horrible, just kissing and “romantic” scenes that actually are aggressive. I appreciate that Dylan O’Brien was so clear that he didn’t want the sex scenes for Stiles to be essentially nonsense and unnecessary and yank his shirt off all the time.
This headcanon is nice to see as an ace myself but I feel like he's definitely more bi than ace - the idea of him being ace never even crossed my mind

I found Scott boring and he had no character development whatsoever. Really awkward when a background character unintentionally and unofficially becomes the main character character but that’s exactly what happened and for good reason

Slightly off topic, but this is what they should have made Jughead from Riverfail. He should have been the loyal friend in the teen drama that works to solve problems but also is major comic relief and hates relationship drama. And then make him Aroace. That fits the teen drama but also stays true to his comic counterpart that wasn’t brooding all the time. Whenever somebody mentions that show, it makes me so mad because I feel like he should’ve basically been an aroace Stiles.
