This video resonated a lot with me because, as someone who has been the fat guy and only recently started making changes, seeing people try to bring this mom down instead of telling her what shes doing is wrong in a constructive way has made me realise that bringing me down was what some people in my life were doing to me before I found people who could help me improve. Wii fit has always been my best friend during my sports season in the summer and then as soon as winter comes along, it's my worst enemy. It literally told me once that my weight gain was out of control, but all I did was gain 6 pounds over the holidays..😭
Idk man we also put way too much emphasis on weight = healthy/fit For me (and so so many other fat people) we can work out 5 times a week and rarely eat fast food and we’re STILL fat. Does that mean people can still shame us and tell us to “do better” or “make a change”? I just think we should all not care or ask abt each other’s weight unless we specifically ask and consent yanno

Oh my GOD this video was so refreshing. All I had seen was hate for this mom, and all I had heard/seen (as I'm not on TikTok) is that she is a dumb, unhealthy mom. But she seems so normal? Yes, some of her choices maybe could be better, but dear god, everyone makes a trillion bad choices every single day, we make bad choices or mistakes and then we grow from them. People are meant to have flaws and we can love them still. I really liked this video, it solidified my decision to subscribe! ❤
So I see what you were going for here it's great to cut parent's slack, it's a hard job. But the issue with this mum is the sheer amount of bad decisions. She's essentially creating so many health issues for the poor kid physically and mentally. Bullying isn't productive but this is child abuse and it's good to call that out. She can clearly afford good enough food if she's donating to food banks and no amount of personal issues with food warrants doing this to a child.
I don't know anything about the mom or her personal life, so I can't at all comment on the genuinity of her content (whether this is her earnest way of preparing food, or hamming it up for tiktok clout). The only thing I can say is that Jamie's hair is looking fantabulous today, lookin cool swag af my guy ✨ edit: as jamie foretold, I did in fact post this video before reading the middle of this video. psychologists are usually taught it’s almost impossible to diagnose someone based on a video. giving out unsolicited advice when all you have to go on is a video clip usually means giving out inaccurate advice to their situation

I appreciate you sharing this. I've always felt fine making jokes about myself and my appearance, both now and before, simply because it's myself and that's the only person I needed to ask. I wanted to share that experience in my life in this video because I felt it was important to me and I figured others might relate to it. I genuinely had never realized those jokes about my own image could affect how others perceive themselves, regardless of how they look. Thank you for giving me new perspective :)

Oh hey, former fat kid solidarity. 🫡 At 12 I was also around 5'6 and about 220 lbs. I got all the way to 5'9 and 320 lbs at 22 before I was independant enough financially to be able to change my habits and lose 100+ lbs. Single mom household and my mom had been raised on a farm where she was highly active and could eat a lot, but I was raised in the city and she had no idea how to moderate food for a low activity child. She did her best but yeah, sometimes you only know so much. I wish doughnut mom all the best for her and her family's health!
