If a person is moving from Telangana to Andra pradesh from the very and only shortest distance to travel then can we say that distance and displacement are equal and same , and also there is not easy and straight path to travel than can we call distance and displacement are same and are directly proportional???

Sir what is difference between scaler and vector..?
Hi shraddha. The quantity, which have only magnitude i.e called scalar quantity. Example is distance. The quantity, which have magnitude and direction i.e called vector quantity. Example is velocity, displacement. This is the difference between scalar and vector quantity.

Speed:- i) The rate at which an object covers a certain distance is known as speed.
Velocity:- i) The rate at which an object changes position in a certain direction.
Speed:- ii) Speed can't be negative or zero.
Velocity:- ii) velocity can be negative zero.
Speed:- iii) Speed is a scalar quantity.
Velocity:- iii) Velocity is a vector quantity.

SI unit means Standard International unit of measurement like for measuring distance we have SI unit as Meters
Magnitude is just a value of something,like the force is of 10N then 10 is the magnitude of force.

Sir, I have doubt but it is not related to the topic. I hope that you will solve it. My question is ; A ball hits a wall horizontally at 6.0m/s. It rebounds horizontally at 4.4m/s. The ball is in contact with the wall for 0.040s. What is the acceleration of the ball?
You may also do this by --- v=u+at.

Because the distance and Displacement tells how long you cover so there are same unit but different meaning
