There is a misconception only in India and Bangladesh. The camels don't have a nucleus in their RBC. But sometimes, when camels drink lots of water at a time, they store the extra water molecules in their RBC. At that time, the shape of RBC turned biconvex. That's why this misconception might have happened.
Many people believe that the RBC of camel in nucleated, but it just a myth like other mammals.camels do have nucleated rbcs at immature stage, but as is reaches maturity,it also looses it's nucleus in order to accumulate more hemoglobin. The misconception arises because because of the shape of their rbcs .most mammals have biconcave RBC include humans but some animal like dear Llama , camels are exceptions . Camel have a round RBC due to the oval shape their blood cells are able to expand to 24% of its original valume which is much higher than other mammals.
