Him doing that to Jedi Survivor is most of the reason why I'm really falling away from his "content".. anytime he starts a game I think "Oh.. so why would I watch these only to be blue balled in the end?"
@@stoneskinreb I feel the same way. I usually watch the first video and wait till it's finished. I can't stand when he loses interest because I feel like I wasted my time.
Honestly any HD2D game is must buy for me... they just have that charm of late 80s/90s/early 00s (J)RPGs with a flare of 20s post processing and effects. Just perfect for me.
...I JUST decided to go and watch the Twitch VODs for this because I started getting unsure if they were going to get uploaded to RUclips dangit. Still, was super excited to see you play this!
0:16 The games that inspired Undertale were basically Earthbound and Touhou. Toby Fox only said that MEGALOMANIA (the boss track that plays at 54:00 ) inspired MEGALOVANIA (a track in Undertale). 19:50 "Vulnerable" So it really is a Mega Man situation (where what you learn from one boss is gonna be the weakness of a different boss). I don't know what this game is, but I have a feeling each character might is gonna have different mechanics (the second character/Akira seems to confirm that), even though the combat part seems consistent. 30:34 Koppōjutsu (骨法術) is an actual Japanese martial art that emphasizes pressure point strikes and manipulation of joints and bones to subdue opponents (骨/kotsu means bone, 法/hō means way, and 術/jutsu means technique). 1:02:31 "It's you, isn't it? The greatest warrior...which means that when I've beaten you, I'll be the best of the best" And this is why becoming a Pokémon champion is a bad idea (it's actually a curse)
It wasn't just Megalomania, one of the chapters in the game literally has a Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide routes. There definitely had to be some inspiration there.
@@penitente3337 Interesting, I'm just following Jesse's playthrough so I had no idea (the only direct mention I found from Toby was the tweet mentioning MEGALOVANIA/MEGALOMANIA).
@@yourcollegedebt8384 I read that YES! In the voice before I had even looked at your pfp 😅 Also I totally get that Skyrims wishful thinking, it just stings he put out that hype video for it
It feels like one of those demo collection game disks you got in magazines and cereal boxes (or a bundle of Game Jam games) for like 90% of the game (besides the reoccurring elements like the weird evil mist powering up the main bad guy, and a guy called "Watanabe" appearing in almost every time period), and then there's a twist during the hidden time period and last time period (or was that the same time period? I forget).
I played this game recently. The near future chapter was my least favourite honestly. It has some fun things, but mostly I didn't like it. I liked the China chapter the most.
I found the battle system awful in this game, and the prehistoric section irritated me, but otherwise this game is great. Especially the alien-inspired future part.
Jesse and starting more games he will never finish name a better love story
Even if he doesn't stream it he may finish off stream. Seems like his kind of game.
ADHD is one hell of a drug! Lol!
That smile on your face in the opening made me so happy to see. ♥
Jedi Survivor and FF16 sitting there ominously lol
Also Yoko Shimimura music doesn't miss, ever
Lol, didn't he also say he was gonna beat Skyrim too?
@@Kalypso_Belador That was never going to happen, the video was likely just there to troll us

They had video games in 1900 and 1920???!
At long last! You get to experience one of the most spectacular games of all time
1:03:50 this is WILD to both see my friend's name as the VA credit and to hear Jesse say his name! Awesome job, Corda!
Oh hell yeah, this is gonna be greatness. It's so damn well made, I actually teared up to certain bits.
I watched this live and it was awsome.
Def going to play it myself thanks for introduction!
Incase anyone else is curious, the music that plays during the fights is called "Knock You Down!"
Ah yes, Garland's favourite ost.
1:14:47 says the old man hiding behind the bushes/tree spying on a young couple
Mom's Shame is truly the most OP move

As someone who watches his twitch. Is it Jesse not finishing his games on stream or are the uploads just not up to date ?
Wish I could like this twice for that banger tooth song!
This is certainly one of the games of all time.
The title screen intro though!!!!, all the music was incredible and th story is really funny and interesting so far.
Goddamn that near future battle theme slaps
Well now this is a surprise, but a welcome one to be sure
By the way that boss theme is called Megalomania
So I can immediately tell this will be a game Jesse will really Cox through haha!

Damn, I don't know a thing about this game, but I think it seems like a banger. Great voice acting!! Jesse Steel Titan Cosplay When?
Yes... we need the return of Fujimora Pantsu
I knew Jesse would love this
This game looks dope! Might have to pick it up.
“Show me your feet, old man!” Definitely a Jesse Cox game.
I hope to see more parts!
I finally figured out why the song sounds so familiar. Its Ken's theme from Streetfighter 2!
Well kinda. But its so close
I can't believe you never played this before, knowing how you love FFVI
The combat system in this game is really unique! A huge shame it didn't catch on for other JRPGs~
1:04:09 The callback!
One step closer to Jesse playing Octopath Traveler 2
JESSE PLAYING A JRPG!? I'm in...
I'm very excited about how long is this game
if reading jesse, honest opinion on the octopath traveler franchise on successor to the final fantasy gameplay and style?
I would love for this one to be finished. It’s a pretty short game so maybe?
Glorious
If he keeps it up and eventually plays either bravely default 2 or Octo path 2, I'ma lose my shit!
interesting. i'll watch these things you do.
HAHA that dude sounds like Matt Mercer for sure
Jackie Laukea kind of looks like Demaro Black who impersonated Luffy in one piece after the time skip haha.
should have named this character fujimora pantsu ... the brown
I have this sealed still, I really should play it.
When's Skyrim man? 😅
YES!!!
You need to experience Live A Live for yourself!
i highly doubt skyrim is gonna happen at this point. he's already abandoned cyberpunk again. he didn't even play the dlc.

Jesse I found buffalo chicken pizza rolls and they are so fucking good bro

1 hp and a dream
This game also inspired Chrono Trigger!!
I'm also completely new to live a live, what is this game?!
VERY old RPG made by Square for the SNES. It had a fan translated rom but this is the first time it got an official translation
