- Photoshop tutorial on how to create a 3D text effect using the mixer brush tool.
✍️
As you will see, the process is quite complex as I used many effects like shadows, highlights, shines, bubbles etc. and lots of Photoshop tools in order to create the final result, from Mixer brush and pen tool to clipping masks and adjustment layers.
I suggest to use a pen tablet like Wacom Intuos, because it really helps to create smoother lines and curves.
I tried to include as much information as possible but still keep the video short, meaningful and interesting.
If you have any questions let me know in the comments and I will try to explain more about the process.

This video shows the process of how I created the same effect on the word "Matter" on the "Details Matter" custom lettering piece which was a collaboration with Gus Olea Pérez, a lettering artist from Madrid, Spain. Check his work here: / im_guus

whats „option“ i dont know what to press with Alt combined??
It’s the same button. Option is on Mac, alt on windows. Just one button is required.
alt key not working? any idea?
Hey! Check on the 1:07 the circle on the top left corner. This is where you can load manually the brush.
When I click stroke path and simulate pressure my line turns into a brush, but in a regular one (at the beginning and at the end it does not get thinner). I dont knpw how to resolve this problem
Please help))
Hi, this probably has to do that I use a pen tablet and it connects the pressure sensitivity to that but I believe it will be possible to have lines with thinner ends using only the mouse. I will try it and will let you know.
Thanks :)
Please I want the photo of the flower
I just noted the link for it on the description. 😉
