This movie indeed had a beautiful soundtrack but the plot was predictable and it had too much hiccups in my opinion to be called the most underrated movie of the decade
"There was a time above... a time before... there were perfect things... diamond absolutes. But things fall... things on earth. And what falls... is fallen. In the dream, (the bats) they took me into the light... a beautiful lie."
That was a metaphor, so what I'm saying is my personal opinion: "Falling in the pit was a symbol of how his world came down when his parents were murdered, being risen by the bats were a symbol of how he used his pain to become a hero and do good. He says it's a lie because, as we see in the movie, he isn't a hero anymore, he is a vigilante, a criminal that he once swore to fight." In fact, all the BvS is about how Batman got so deep in his own darkness and how he will come back to be a hero again.

I hate people who think he's to dark because this version of batman is a tortured veteran who has lost everyone he has. Therefore it would make sense why he would do what he does. People say Bales is realistic but after 20 years of crime fighting and losing everyone you care about that is what will happen. Also a man who dresses as a Bat to fight crime isn't very realistic in the first place.

The sad thing though is that he might be stopping soon. because his compositions where taking too much time from what I've heard. Dark Knight Trilogy took 11 years to make
No, its because he feels like he's out of ideas when it comes to superhero music. He's still composing music for ordinary films, just not superhero films.
This is probably the most epic score for a comic book movie I've ever heard. I really don't know how Hans does it man; this tells the story of Batman's origin perfectly. I'm blown away no matter how many times I listen to it.
"This world was a beautiful place just as it was. And you cannot have it all. You can only have the truth. The truth is enough. The truth is beautiful. So look at this world and look at what your wish is costing it. You must be the hero. Only you can save the day!" Those who have seen it know where this from.
WB - How long do you need to tell an epic Batman origin story? Tim Burton - About 2 hours? Nolan - Maybe 3 hours? Zack Snyder - *4 mins and Hans Zimmer*
The beginning, even though I've seen his parents die so many times already, was really emotionally compelling because of this song I was in awe and my mouth was wide open
My interpretation of the beautiful lie: Bruce Wayne thought that by becoming batman and fighting criminals would "save" and redeem him from the blame of death of his parrents. But it was a "beautiful lie" because fighting against criminals for 20 years in Gotham where criminality grew like a weed and the loss of Robin made him even more depressed. Eventually it brought him to the point where the only thing he could do that would finally make a big impact and he would finally matter as a Batman would be killing Superman, but in reality, killing superman would be his ultimate downfall. Sorry for my english.
"Renounce your wish, if you want to save this world." "Why would I? When it's finally my turn. The world belongs to me. You can not stop me, no one can" "I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to everyone else"
@@TheShuaib93 you answered your own question. his parents died before ww84 so in ww84 he has already lost his parents so he wishes them to be alive again. alfred probably died in return for them or they came back in other people's bodies just like steve did and bruce had to give them up and lose them a second time.

I hated the movie when I saw it for the first time, but then I watched it a couple of times and began to see things that I didn't see during the first watch. Most people here have formed their opinions based on their first time (first impression). People take black panther as some sort of top notch movie but story wise it was just another avg movie. MOS, BVS were far better than it in terms of story and people hate both of them. Aquaman was on par if not better in terms of CGI and it doesn't get half the recognition that black panther got, just because these movies are made by DC. Beautiful Lie is such an elegant , hypnotically melancholic song , it perfectly captures the essence of Bruce's mindset and guilt , illuminating the conflict between what he thought would be a means to reconcile his loss and the burden that his alternate persona had become . This soundtrack is truly amazing
Beautiful Lie is the most powerful piece of music from the DC Extended Universe. With the flashbacks, this song has a very strong purpose. Alongside this one, the track titled "What are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving The World? enlightens the hero's journey of Henry Cavill's Superman in Man of Steel and I guess so does Beautiful Lie for Ben Affleck's Batman.
I've watched many times Batman's parents getting killed and honestly, I didn't have any strong feelings back then... But now, in bvs, with this music and the effects, it truly brings sadness to the viewers heart
My body shuddered under the burden of adrenaline and my mind was a shadow of its whole self, and yet through the very cloud of my beautiful pain I heard her name Martha. An impossible glimpse of bright light pierced the storm of my heart and was nothing more than a child again. I realized then, that the darkness which had taken my heart now threatened to take my very being. I was becoming the very thing which crushed my younger self, a cruel fate worse than any other agony. I sought to exact the pain I suffered on a being I hardly understood, except that he had a mother, and her name was Martha. And it broke me.
People saying how bad this movie was haven't clearly watched the ultimate edition of this movie. Warner Bros. have been sabotaging Zack Snyder and depriving fans of his vision of DC multiverse from the start. I now regret for doubting Zack and hate WB for throwing him under the bus🤬
This is the theme of a man who lost his world one night, then threw away his whole life for preparation to prevent crime and preventing crime. Bruce Wayne is a broken man whose identity is defined by his insane muscle, genius intellect and his true personality that has consumed his entire life.. Batman.
The MARTHA scene confused many people It was a very deep scene. Batman didnt spare Superman becoz their mothers name were same, first Batman thought that it was some kind of trick that Superman is using to make him stop and becomes more enraged But when he came to knew that Martha is his mom so the evil alien in his mind became humanized. Batman never knew that Superman had a human mom and that he will be willing to die for her. Superman cared more about her than himself at that time. When Martha was killed,Bruce was a helpless kid who couldnt do anything just like Clark is now. Now Bruce has an opportunity for redemption by saving Superman's mom It literally doesn't have to do anything with the same name. Inspired by an instagram page Heroic.gateway
Việt Anh Trần Bruce was in darkness..he was lost. If you watch the movie then see that he falled in the pit from light to dark and it happened again when he jumped on Superman in the fight scene. If u see the Superman death scene so you may see that Bruce when comes to watch his body so he comes from the dark into the light..there was a ray directly at Superman and also a bit of light at him as well. That was the rebirth of Batman and he now realizes his mistakes he did in his dark phase
Ali Abdul Hai but Bruce didnt even know if Superman was being honest or not....he could have just said it to confuse him and took advantage of the situation. And Bruce's scheme to kill the alien who could easily extinguish the whole human race wouldn't change all of a sudden because that alien cared for his mother,in fact, everybody does. Please dont say that 20 years fighting crimes in Gotham there hasnt been any criminals who did horrible things but cried his/her mother name as en excuse for the Bat to spare them. But still,I respect your opinion and interpretation of this controversial scene.
Việt Anh Trần Bruce never knew that Superman was adapted to the human environment. From his perspective everything was different. When Superman was dying so Superman like any human would think of himself and won't worry about others but bruce also saw that he didn't was worried about his life as he was caring about his mother's thats why he considered Superman as the most human of all. Thankyou for respecting my opinion sir.

+Elijah Elijah yea I believe the fault has to fall on Snyder cause the acting is great, the score is amazing, and there's an amazing story in there so the writing is good. It's just the execution is a little off. I think mainly do to the strange editing choice.
I feel like nobody is talking about how beautifully filmed this movie was. It's like I can remember every scene. They're all striking. Especially the scenes with Bruce Wayne and Batman.
The score is good, as to be expected from Hans Zimmer! It doesn't fit the movie well at quite a lot of moments though... Especially when the Wonder Woman theme came rolling around. Boy, was that out of place! Then again, so was the caracter...
It was very clever of the Wonder Woman director to use this theme during a pivotal moment in WW84. Major Batman V. Superman Easter egg moment and very relevant I thought, especially since she was convincing the world through the lasso of truth to renounce their wish and embrace truth. I heard it and i felt it. Hans Zimmer is something else.
The build up of this song is beautiful..You really do feel the pain, like someone screaming internally but the light is emerging ..amongst the darkness, you can feel the hope, the never ending human desire to not be burdened down

I thought the whole "Martha" bit was completely Justified. The re call to this music and the opening sequence was spot on. All of Bruce's Trauma, inner battles, trying to decide right from wrong. I love that part of the movie. I totally got this Movie. I love it!

it takes a certain taste to appreciate Zack Snyder’s vision. I’m proud to say that I, along with many others, have it. Let’s have a little more patience until 2021’s Justice League. We deserve it.
There are things I really like about it but I feel like introducing Batman in the movie really hinders it. I can live with him killing but its be great if we could see what lead him to start down that path.
while i love bvs i dont like the snyder cut or man of steel this movie was on a whole other level the action the story everything about it is great bvs is a 8/10 for me while man of steel and snyder cut are 5/10 (yes im biased towards batman)
This was the Batman I wanted. Calculated, driven, dark, and extremely brutal. The scene where the cop saw him in the shadows on the wall, and the warehouse fight scene were incredible. Zimmers score was the perfect addition to Afflecks brilliant portrayal. Damn shame how the writers fucked him up in JL. Trying way too hard to mimic Marvel with the comedic elements.
It's kinda weird that you want batman to kill people, seeing as how they show him as a little kid seeing his parent's fucking capped in 2 seconds. The whole point of having that origin story is that Batman knows the moment he kills someone, he's taking that person away from the all the people that love and care about said person (just like how his parents were taken away from him, weird right?) Bruce Wayne's character arc was much deeper than "his parents were killed and now he fights crime because he's pissed about it", it's easy to make that misconception, but it's just flat out wrong. Also he definitely wasn't calculated, he fucking randomly tore up a street with his batmobile's ROCKET LAUNCHERS and MACHINE GUNS, but okay. I actually didn't like how he made jokes in JL though, people need to understand that comedy doesn't happen as a result of batman, it happens around him. Batman doesn't make jokes, he scowls at them, but when he does make a joke, it's all the more rare and meaningful.
@@somebodysfather922 the reason why batman kills people is because this was a batman that was older and broken by what happened in gotham. "20 years in Gotham, how many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?" The problem is that that should have been its own movie where the joker kills robin and batman breaks his principle and kills joker (a la the killing joke) so at the end of that movie we see a jaded batman who has gone back on one of his core principles. The justice league then becomes a chance for Batman to redeem himself and be what he is supposed to be and to heal from what happened in gotham. This isnt what we got because they rushed it but there was enough there to see a skeleton of it. I personally liked it but again felt that it deserved its own movie rather than being squeezed into bvs this way.
I'm not saying that Dark Knight Returns Batman is horrible (I mean I do prefer standard Batman, but he's good too), but for BvS, it would've made much more sense to use the regular Batman. Otherwise, they should've called it Dark Knight Returns, instead they ruined the iconic Batman V Superman fight that everyone was expecting. My problem with this comment was that he depicted the DKR Batman that we got as the true Batman. And I agree by the way, DKR and Death of Superman definitely deserved their own movies.
Also, if the problem with Batman is that crime fighting's broken him, why does the movie open with the murder of his parents? If that's where they were going with this, they should've shown us a moment that's pulled from his crime fighting. A simple Jason Todd death, Bat Girl handicapping, or something along those lines would've actually built on the idea that he's been broken by fighting crime. What do we get instead? Batman slaughtering random criminals, who stand almost no chance of defending themselves and could just be doing what they're doing out of necessity. This Batman is Zack Snyder's attempt at plagiarizing Dark Knight Returns without caring to show us the kind of things that drove him to that point. And I know that we get to see Jason's suit all fucked up in the Batcave, but the time that went into showing us that doesn't even amount to the Thomas and Martha Wayne over saturation that's forced down our throats. It's ridiculous that Snyder thinks he can just carelessly write his own walmart brand Batman without taking half as much time to show us how he got to that point, but it's even more ridiculous that Warner Bros can look at what he's doing and give it a seal of approval. Some things should be left to speculation, but that's no excuse when we're showed his parents getting murdered for the 80th time in a fucking movie with Batman in it.
I cried with Diana in the final scene of Wonder Woman when this piece came in. It was a very striking music that hurts us, but I immediately thought of the BvS opening scene, on the other hand, it was a bit strange that she used the same music. It gave the audience the feeling of a different movie.
Actually this wasn´t Zimmer. This was Junkie Xl´s Contribution. Hans Zimmer Brought Junkie Xl to help him with all the Bruce and Batman parts. Because he felt as he already worked on The Dark Knight Trilogy that he would be heavily influenced by his previous work. So he brought Junkie to do it so Zimmer would rely only at Superman.
The death of Bruce's parents in BvS was so much more raw and emotional than previous adaptations. The opening sequence had so much depth and poignance. One of the best scenes in any movie ever imo.
I am not a DC fan, more of a Marvel guy but I do love Hans Zimmer and all of his work, especially the DC scores (Man of Steel, Batman Trilogy, etc) because let's just say Marvel is a bit lacking when it comes to film scores, except a few ones such as Avengers and Captain America. I think almost all of Hans Zimmer's work are masterpieces.
This Masterpiece is one of the Reasons I personally am more of a DC Fan. Cause DC isn't just about telling Storys with Dialogue and Images, but with Music. And everytime I hear this I can see the 8 year old Bruce Wayne screaming out in payne of his Lose and Sadness, a little Tear starts flowding down the skin of my Face. Not because I'm sad, but because this lie was so beautiful. A beautiful Lie of Perfectness.
Years from now, Snyder's 3 movies of watchmen, MOS&BVS will be truly respected and people will talk about how MOS&BVS got way too much hate. But I will be proud that I was on the right side.
Steve Miles yes. MOS is my all time superhero movie but I am sensible enough to realize they are merely decent. Its the extra hate they get that makes fans like me angry.
This was the first time ever In my life where I watched a movie in it's first opening minutes and felt like crying. I know we've come to a point where it's been said that "We know who Batman is! We know his origin! We don't need to see his parents shot for the gazillionth time!" but, goddammit, the depiction of the Wayne's murder in BvS was the most BEAUTIFUL version I've ever seen. Yeah, only Snyder and Zimmer can make a murder look beautiful. One of the best openings in a movie hands down!
This song is soooo powerful to the emotional heart. You can truly feel it. I think that's what makes Hans Zimmer so special. He makes you FEEL the music, which usually goes perfect with the scene.
This is the perfect soundtrack, u can feel how is to be batman, u can feel de pain and the sad moment when Bruce saw his parents die, Zack Snyder do his best
I hate when people say this film was confusing, I give the movie a 9/10, but the soundtrack a 10/10. the only reason I give the film a 9/10 was because I wanted the physical fight to be longer.
I think they made the fight only eight minutes because the fight in the dark knight returns graphic novel was only eight minutes, but I could be wrong about that.
I understand... But if you think about it, the fight had to be short. If you want to kill Superman, you need to take the opportunity to put him down. The longer the fight goes, the chance of you failing increases. You would have to be quick and take advantage of the element of surprise and windows of opportunity.
I thank Zack Snyder, Zack Snyder's Justice League and the Snyder fans for opening my brain and realizing that this movie and Man of Steel are masterpieces and i was wrong saying otherwise. I felt like my third eye was opened when i realized these films are great.
When the movie started with the Wayne's murder, I was like "oh boy, not this again". But as the scene kept rolling, the way it was shot and this music hit a string in me. All of the sudden, I thought to myself "this is a classic comic book moment playing right in front of my eyes, and it his beautiful. Horrible because of the death, but beautifully created". And I won't lie, I teared up a little...

I still don't understand the quote. can someone explain. I do understand the part the bats take him to the lights.
That was a metaphor, so what I'm saying is my personal opinion: "Falling in the pit was a symbol of how his world came down when his parents were murdered, being risen by the bats were a symbol of how he used his pain to become a hero and do good. He says it's a lie because, as we see in the movie, he isn't a hero anymore, he is a vigilante, a criminal that he once swore to fight." My interpretation of the beautiful lie:
Bruce Wayne thought that by becoming batman and fighting criminals would "save" and redeem him from the blame of death of his parrents. The MARTHA scene confused many people
It was a very deep scene.
Batman didnt spare Superman becoz their mothers name were same, first Batman thought that it was some kind of trick that Superman is using to make him stop and becomes more enraged
But when he came to knew that Martha is his mom so the evil alien in his mind became humanized. Batman never knew that Superman had a human mom and that he will be willing to die for her. Superman cared more about her than himself at that time.
When Martha was killed,Bruce was a helpless kid who couldnt do anything just like Clark is now.
Now Bruce has an opportunity for redemption by saving Superman's mom
It literally doesn't have to do anything with the same name.
Inspired by an instagram page Heroic.gateway
wow..... i was so stupid, i did'nt realise the depth of that scene, have to watch justice leauge again right now
And please explain why Bruce didnt share any sympathy for those actual human criminal who had undoubtedly killed less people than Superman???

To be fair you have a certain intellect to understand Rick and Morty...
Such a shame that people hate this movie. Man it,s a masterpiece. The pain of Bruce Wayne is shown so accurately in this movie
The build up to that particular scene was great but I thought it just looked awkward and not in a good way.

It literally just gave me flashbacks of 2016 and 13 when I was watching Man of Steel and BvS
Beautiful Lie is a theme made for Batman's agony, his history, maybe it doesn't fit very well for Diana.
Best Batman theme so far. 🖤
Imagine a Batfleck solo movie with more of THIS theme. (Goosebumps)
Not sure about goosebumps but definitely batman
I like the batman movie but this soundtrack still the best
You can feel the sadness and the pain....
Christopher Wilke I know
Christopher Wilke I fucking love it, DC is amazing
yeah :(
Hans Zimmer is amazing
Actually this wasn´t Zimmer. This was Junkie Xl´s Contribution. Hans Zimmer Brought Junkie Xl to help him with all the Bruce and Batman parts. Because he felt as he already worked on The Dark Knight Trilogy that he would be heavily influenced by his previous work. So he brought Junkie to do it so Zimmer would rely only at Superman.
The death of Bruce's parents in BvS was so much more raw and emotional than previous adaptations. The opening sequence had so much depth and poignance. One of the best scenes in any movie ever imo.
Imagine how it will look like martha wayne death in the rated r version
What A Masterpiece...!!!
Amarjeet Gill Batman theme ❤️
Amarjeet Gill ugh I hate that word
Why do you hate that word? I agree, this is a masterpiece!
Prabhu Khairnar bc it’s just overused only by dc fans is annoying af
This is my favorite throughout the whole track.
+THESiCKISHEAR it's my ringtones now, a pleasure when i receive a text message
+THESiCKISHEAR Have you heard the whole soundtrack yet ? There are more epic ones. This one is calm and peaceful.
Such an underrated masterpiece.
3:10 I just love that part. It touches my heart.
👏Hans Zimmer has done it again, beautifully composed a soundtrack for one the greatest Batman incarnations I have ever seen👏👌⭐
+Wheeler67 This is Junky XL, not Zimmer Zimmer did only Superman and little of Wonder Woman
+RUclipsr Analyst Both Zimmer and Junkie did this one.
I can one hundred percent hear Zimmer's influence here. Wonder Woman is far more Junkie XL
This was the first time ever In my life where I watched a movie in it's first opening minutes and felt like crying. Everything from the acting, the beautiful music from Hans Zimmer, from the visuals just everything about this scene was so good! Easily the best intro not just in a super hero movie, but in movie history!
have you watched up?
***** you and me both. I was so far gone before the actual movie started, damn.
Clearly you've never seen up
I really enjoyed the theatrical cut. But the ultimate cut was astounding. Just an epic superhero film in many ways.
Scott Wolff I feel the same way as
My body shuddered under the burden of adrenaline and my mind was a shadow of its whole self, and yet through the very cloud of my beautiful pain I heard her name Martha.
How can i watch Ultimate cut?
my name is search in torrent website and download app
@@stephennadar7352 can you share any link?? I'd really appreciate that
For 2.5 hrs before the fight. I could feel the tension building. Thats how a war builds up. Its not boring to see but rather interesting to observe.
I'll never get tired of seeing Bruce's parents die. I know that sounds dark, but the visuals along with this score made the whole intro tragic and beautiful.
I think Burton and Synder did a great job showing the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
This made my cry several times and i am not joking.
+vegacast it's not that bad.
Just out of interest why did it make you cry? I mean it's a great piece of music but I wouldn't call it overly sad
I don't know maybe PMS
+vegacast why? there's nothing special about it.
The Fumbo Muffin FOR ME IT IS..SO
This film is the best superhero film i ever seen of my life!! Music, story, characters psychology.....
Zack snyder....a big enormous thanks for this amazing film!!!
This film is an undervalued and unjustly despised masterpiece that with time will begin to be better appreciated and valued, you will see.
Extended cut is great
Jesus just watched WW84 and when this kicked in I teared up such a great scene
ZSJL
blasphemous
The opening scene of this movie was THE BEST cinematography i've ever seen. I started sobbing which I never really do.
Hats off to Zack Snyder for this. :D
+Varun Singh Yeah man I went with 5 friends for the premier and I remember I had to fight so hard with my tears but I won the battle howewer I also sobbed a little. The whole movie was amazing to experience!
+Varun Singh I'm so Sad that Hans Zimmer retired from writing Super Heroes soundtracks
Sone Hun yeah man. this movie is an experiance in itself.
Χαράλαμπος Σταμίρης yeah. I heard the news. He's a legend and will be missed greatly.
Just when I thought Hanz Zimmer was not goinig to top his Inception's Time music he comes up with Beautiful Lie
ikr
Honestly though, I thought his interstellar work was the best, but this does top it.
+A.N.A And don't forget Junkie XL who was very important for the Batman's music in the film
Junkie XL done all the Batman stuff.
+A.N.A Time and Sent Here For a Reason are my absolute favorite Zimmer pieces, though Time is ultimately unbeatable by any other work he's done. It's the perfect example of amazing build up, and is life itself!
This movie "BvS" , it was more than wt words could describe, such a piece of art by the legendary Zack Snyder... Will alws b one of my top 10 movies ever...
Much respect n Love
From Pakistan
I know we've come to a point where it's been said that "We know who Batman is! We know his origin! We don't need to see his parents shot for the gazillionth time!" but, goddammit, the depiction of the Wayne's murder in BvS was the most BEAUTIFUL version I've ever seen. Yeah, only Snyder and Zimmer can make a murder look beautiful. One of the best openings in a movie hands down!
Ultimate edition BvS is a pure art.
Where can i watch it??
@@satishpatil1198 HBO Max
@@Edgarfan696 it's not available in India
The two most popular superheroes in 1 movie...absolute genius
This song is soooo powerful to the emotional heart. You can truly feel it. I think that's what makes Hans Zimmer so special. He makes you FEEL the music, which usually goes perfect with the scene.
This is the perfect soundtrack, u can feel how is to be batman, u can feel de pain and the sad moment when Bruce saw his parents die, Zack Snyder do his best
I hate when people say this film was confusing, I give the movie a 9/10, but the soundtrack a 10/10. the only reason I give the film a 9/10 was because I wanted the physical fight to be longer.
Agreed!
I think they made the fight only eight minutes because the fight in the dark knight returns graphic novel was only eight minutes, but I could be wrong about that.
Yh I found that out recently as well, I think it was deliberate.
I understand... But if you think about it, the fight had to be short. If you want to kill Superman, you need to take the opportunity to put him down. The longer the fight goes, the chance of you failing increases. You would have to be quick and take advantage of the element of surprise and windows of opportunity.
Without Hellbat armor, a long, epic fight between Batman and Superman might be an idea too far astray.
The first fourteen seconds are literally nothing but "DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN!" and yet something as simple as that sounds so badass.
couldnt emphasize the DUN DUN'S any better, brotha hahahaha
I thank Zack Snyder, Zack Snyder's Justice League and the Snyder fans for opening my brain and realizing that this movie and Man of Steel are masterpieces and i was wrong saying otherwise. I felt like my third eye was opened when i realized these films are great.
I could listen to this all day, this is a beautiful song
Can you recommend me more soundtracks like this one
Luis Gomez I love this song too

A-a- beautiful lie....LOL
Mehul Goel DONT LISTEN TO THE OTHER GUY YOULL TURN INTO A DIRTY WEABOO SAVE YOURSELF
Had to come and listen to this masterpiece after the announcement of the Justice League's Snyder Cut
Amen brother
I have turned 100,000 worlds to dust, looking for those who robbed me of my glory.
The fact that Hans Zimmer incorporated this score into Wonder Woman 1984 was simply amazing.
I Had chills once I heard this score playing.
