    About Batman V Superman:
    From director Zack Snyder comes Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters' first big-screen pairing. Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

    Superman sacrificed his life for a world that rejected him. Inspiring hope to the world and restores Bruce’s faith in humanity. Also showing Diana that not all of humanity is lost. Absolutely powerful. What a true hero.

      Absolutely! Not only that, but the original version of this song in the beginning is called "If you love these People" from the first man of steel movie. Hans Zimmer was basically showing in the music; "If you love these people" sacrifice your life for them and superman did that for humanity.

      I wouldn’t say they are masterpieces. I think people don’t like what they’ve done with the characters and how they are telling the story. Even when you understand what someone is trying to do with story and characters, it doesn’t automatically make a movie good, let alone a masterpiece. Personally i can enjoy BvS & MoS, but i can also enjoy The Room. A movie doesn’t have to objectively be good for people to enjoy the film. I’m not afraid to admit that the soundtrack for the movies are good and other attributes are good as well, but i’m also not afraid to say that the movie is not perfect in any way, as with most movies. And final response to Honor y Justicia : insulting people who have different opinions and views on things you like makes you look foolish yourself. Just calling people idiots for not liking the movie(s) makes them not like the community that follows it as well. That goes for all and any community.
      Sorry for the book. It’s hard to get out what you’re trying to say without putting a lot of words into it so people don’t misunderstand you. But that’s my humble response.

    hmm, after watching this movie a second time i gotta say i liked it. the small details i missed starting with the scene with clarks dad where he is telling him the story about the farm and horses. telling him he was traumatized that he didn't save them and it haunted him until he met Martha. Telling him that "she was my world". Hence Clark telling lois the same before his sacrifice. Alsoo might i add the part where Lex is saying "there was no god to save me for the blows of my fathers fist". Well, if you pay attention when doomsday is awakened, he instantly is about to punch Lex until Superman blocks his fist. Small details man, this movie was actually pretty deep. Especially for a super hero movie.

    • @EclipseHedgehog
      @EclipseHedgehog 8 лет назад +17

      +David TenderNuts nice catch on the punching part! for all the times ive seen it i never thought about it. Lex's speech about "god not being all powerful" (superman being destroyed by man) and "god not being all good" (superman killing man) its not that he has "daddy issues" it goes much deeper than that. its that he lost faith and felt betrayed by god. I can't help but feel sad for him even though he did a lot of despicable things.

    • @davidtendernuts6982
      @davidtendernuts6982 8 лет назад +18

      +EclipseHedgehog exactly. i actually appreciated the character a lot more after i watched the movie again. I plan to get the blu ray once its released. I'm hyped. The thing with the critics is i know damn well there are way more people who liked this movie then it seems. People want to fit in with what the popular opinion is or seems to be (the power the critics have is insane). First time i watched the movie i was biased, but as a few days went on i was like "i need to watch that again". Im not even a Dc or Marvel fanboy, just a person who enjoys good films. Its funny how a movie like Fast and Furious 7 gets praised but this gets trashed. Meh, oh well.

    • @EclipseHedgehog
      @EclipseHedgehog 8 лет назад +6

      *****
      yeah people want this movie to be like the next catwoman or elektra or shaq's steel which just baffles me. a 7/10 is a-ok in my book. this movie isn't for everyone and i can see people getting lost easily in some scenes easily (flash's warning. the justice league, heck my pop didn't even know who wonder woman was. and he hated how long the doomsday fight was.)
      the trick to keeping up to this movie is think and say to yourself; "what was he/she doing the last time we saw him?"

    • @PermanentHigh
      @PermanentHigh 8 лет назад +5

      Here we go with this shit again. It proves yet again that most movie goers are really slow individuals. People saying the movie sucked ass then they go watch it again and it makes more sense to them and now it's magically a good movie that they like.
      So now, the real question is: Was BvS really a trash piece of a movie like everyone keeps repeating, or is it just that movie goers are fucking stupid and slow as fuck?

    • @davidtendernuts6982
      @davidtendernuts6982 8 лет назад +6

      +PermanentHigh You know, i agree that most movie goers are slow individuals who rely on the opinion of critics to see if they enjoy the movie or not. The first time i saw the movie it ended at 1:30 in the morning. That was after an 8 hour shift at work. So i wasn't paying much attention. Thought it was ok. Started talking about it to friends and as i talked about the scenes it made me want to watch it again. So no, it wasn't trash. I liked it. Seeing all of those negative reviews is tempting me to actually make a review video of my own. So to sum up your question, most movie goers, just like people in general are sheep.

The score extremely enhanced the film for me, personally. For others whom, unfortunately, are not moved in any way by this score, they will simply see an action movie and pick apart at its imperfections. They will never appreciate the full experience. The love. The respect of Batman when he carefully delivers Superman to Wonder Woman. Not all people will get this. They expected way different things.
    When Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman talked to each other it felt like Justice League Cartoons. There was this cartoonish thing. I don't know how to describe it. The spirit of the team? The film was so brutal till this point. So dark and gritty. Everyone hated and beated the shit out of Superman and then he dies in front of a team of heroes ready to join him. right!? I mean I was probably worse than you with hating superman and not caring for any batman after the dark knight. I thought that ben affleck would ruin batman like he did pearl harbor, completely ignoring his excellent work on previous films such as "the town" and "gone girl" and people had to drag me into the theatre to see "man of steel," but after this MoS movie i really got into the DCU. Then this bvs movie came out and affleck is my favorite batman yet. Where is all of the hate coming from? Do people hate it because they don't understand it? I gotta say I'm hating the hate. Apocalypse faces the same problem. bad word of mouth is hurting it in the box office, but i've never enjoyed an xmen movie so much, with an exception to days of future past.

      +Alejandro Barazer how'd you feel about civil war? Was it a massive let down to you or was it enjoyable because you pretty much expected a comedy at this point.

    • @ronaldraygun8708
      @ronaldraygun8708 8 лет назад +7

      Alejandro Barazer I remember watching the trailers and doing research on the civil war comic and all as build up towards the civil war hype. I actually thought it would be good so i walked in with high expectations. needless to say i walked out pretty disappointed. It was supposed to be a civil war and they didn't even have a reason to kill each other until the end, even at that point i wasn't impressed because i already knew about buck killing the starks. In "winter soldier" zola told captain america what had happened with buck and the starks. It was supposed to be a civil war and nobody died, not even rhodey. It was supposed to be a civil war and they cracked jokes the whole time. I couldn't even take it seriously. Its sad too because I'm an impartial guy. I really enjoyed age of ultron, i thought james spader made a great ultron and i watched that movie 3 times, as much as dawn of justice, but civil war, to me, was a huge drop in quality. Far surpassed by dawn of justice and apocalypse in drama, music, and overall quality of the action. Civil war had more action than both of the movies combined , but, to me at least, it was meaningless until the very end where it felt like it didn't matter anymore. The only thing i can really praise about civil war and the real reason i would watch it again is the symbolism in bucky losing his arm to stark and cap dropping the shield. Beyond that it would be for the meaningless action and the endless puns.

    Probably the saddest moment in CBM history for me. A lot of people say they didn't feel anything when Superman died because he died too soon, but it felt as if I had known this adaptation of Superman for 10 years. He truly felt like Superman. And this Cinematic Universe has me feeling like all of these characters are real. Call it a bad movie or whatever, but this movie felt so realistic to me. And powerful and so dark. Man of Steel is officially my 2nd favorite movie of all time. BVS just replaced it.

      Those people that say they didn't feel anything are just used to the way marvel has been things. You care because he is fucking superman. One of the biggest icons in the world. Saying "he died too early and I didn't care enough about him" is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. This wouldn't have worked with marvel because people were nearly as familiar with character like iron man or captain America. Everybody knows superman. He's more than just a character in a movie. He's SUPERMAN...that's why his death is so heartbreaking. In the DCEU, he was surrounded by hatred and controversy. Many people did not want him. He just took a beating by batman and then took a nuke to the face...and yet he STILL have his life for humanity

And within those folds is the spirit of ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. I knew then my wait was over.

      The sacrifice motif continued in BvS. Superman had to die for the world to finally accept him and in order for Batman to be reborn and for Diana to regain faith in humanity.

The plot was incoherent and the script was poor. The only redeeming features were Ben Affleck as Batman, and the great soundtrack. The fights were also okay. Everything else was subpar. You can say it's a comic book movie all you want, but recent years have shown us that they can and should be held to a higher standard. The Superman theme is one of the most profound pieces of music I have ever heard. It is so pure and beautiful, full of hope, of life, just like the character is supposed to be.
    This rendition has an air of deep sadness about it due to the events that transpire in the movie but even in that, it inspires hope, hope that tomorrow will be better. The very ideals of Superman.
    I will miss Hans Zimmer with Justice League. His music is something else.

      If you think Marvel followed the easy road because they keeping releasing the same movie, the same could be said about this Murderverse. Snyder tried to emulate the same tone of the Dark Knight trilogy in this movie. It doesn't make sense, how can you contextualize colorful and overpowered characters like Superman and Wonder Woman in this dark and pseudo realistic scenario? This tone only works with Batman. Still, they stubbornly tried to make everything dark and moody. BvS is a moronic movie who take itself too much seriously.

    This scene alone showed why I love Superman. The fact he was willing to sacrifice himself for the world even after they turned their back on him and blamed him for everything, he was still humble and heroic enough to do what he does best. And that's to save the day!

He's got such a good heart and I absolutely adore characters like that.

    • @thelavenderhatter5924
      @thelavenderhatter5924 8 лет назад +12

      666 PRODUCTIONS I have no problem with your opinion because I'm sure you are a comic fan as well. We can have all our opinions. But what I was saying is when people complain about this movie when Marvel did the same thing. For example people complain about Lex Luther being energetic and religious, but no one complained about Ultron being energetic and religious when both should be calm and collective. Or when people complain about Batsuit not looking like Batman (have you read Dark Knight Returns?) but they don't complain about Hawkeye looking nothing like how he does in the comics. Those people replied to me by saying how they weren't comparing Affleck to the comics, but rather to Christian Bale...how is that fair?! Because they don't complain about Iron Man (1978) looking like nothing like he does today. And I would say at least DC can make their character's costumes look like their characters: Batman 1989 and Superman 1978. Those pathetic excuses for "fans" told me those costumes are made after Iron Man (which is not true btw because of Superman) but also...they haven't seen Batman 1960's sure the show was cheesy but at least people would recognize Adam West as Batman. Not that garbage for Iron Man in 1978. So people shouldn't complain about the villains or the costumes if both companies are pretty much doing the same thing. Now that I got the dumb reasons to hate this movie...I can understand why true fans hated this movie, they say the pacing is too slow which is true, but for me I like it to last as long as possible. People said Doomsday was rushed which is also true. But so was Crossbones in Civil War (even though he technically was in Winter Soldier). People complained in Suicide Squad how Joker was isn't in the movie enough but so was Spider-Man in Civil War and Marvel had the audacity to tease fans with the Iron Spider suit but noooo...we got crappy CGI Spider-Man. Also people should not complain about Joker not being in the movie enough because in the comics Joker doesn't show up a lot (in suicide squad). The fact is everyone, DC and Marvel are finally giving us good and semi-true to the material movies, we should be enjoying them not hating each other...by the way both companies make great themes for their movies. We (true) fans shouldn't be hating other fans, we should be hunting down those fanboys (people who just watch the movies and know nothing of the comics). Sorry for typing a super long essay but I just needed you guys to know my position in this matter. But anyway...I love you all fans!!!! DC and Marvel reign supreme!!!!

    After watching this movie for the third time, i kinda realize
    something.
    The reason why this movie is panned by the general audience
    is because it left you feeling empty at the end of the movie. Yes, the hero won. But at what cost? The movie left you with PTSD
    instead.
    It left you traumatized by the violence and sacrifices made for
    something that we perceive as for 'the greater goods'.
    That's why this is movie is not for everyone, and i respect WB for having the guts to show us the harsh reality of power and its brutal consequences.
    And unfortunately the general audience watch movie to escape reality, not to be reminded of its harshness.

      If Zack Snyder could just make that scene a little more powerful...Imagine Batman having flashback after he heard Superman said Martha, but instead of the opening scene, it's an imagination of Bruce himself being the one who shot his own mother, implying that he has (almost) turned into someone he hated the most by using his guilt and rage against Superman. Then he would realized that what he had done and drop the spear. It would just make a ton of sense.

    I read in an early review for BvS that there was a really cry-worthy scene in the movie between Supes and Batman that could bring even the most cynical eye to tears. I have a feeling that this is going to be the music that goes with it.

  • @LordStarscream100
    @LordStarscream100 8 лет назад +23

    Hans's slowed down version of "If You Love These People", which is the primary piece that is played thirty seconds into the track, is absolutely beautiful. The original track, which was played during the final battle of "Man of Steel" was action-packed, intense and extremely dramatic. This piece is so solemn, intense and dramatic as well. It's fantastic, I love how Hans Zimmer put together this track - along with the piano renditions of Superman's theme as well.

    I am not the biggest DC fan, I watched it because it was there and I'm a huge fan of the Flash. My Dad and I have always preferred marvel films to dc films, we have always preferred dc television programs to marvel television programs. We didn't expect a lot from BvS, with the review it was getting we thought it would be crap! But we liked it, we actually loved it! I will always be a background supporter of this film, I've been had fights with hardcore Dc fans who hated it, I will always love it.

      +VunderGuy firstly I'm a girl not a boy. I like the Thor films but I was little and they are not as good as they used to look. Iron man 2 is one of my least favourite Marvel films and iron man 3 could have been better. Lastly I'm not retarded I'm just a fan of both universes.

    I really be in the gym lifting weights to this. The entire soundtrack for MOS, BVS and ZSJL is just a chefs kiss. I’ve never cared for movie themes until this trilogy, it hit me when Barry Allen ran back in time and his theme kicked in I was like what in the world am I feeling right now??? Man ZS and JunkieXL and Hans Zimmer did something to me with the masterpieces they put together.

      im sure it will still maintain consistent with the overall tone of the DCEU. Its not like they are going to do a complete 180 and turn it into The Avengers. They have said numerous times that they never intended for all the movie to be super grim and dark like BvS and they stated way early on that Justice League would be lighter. I mean it HAS to be lighter when you have a character like the Flash.

    I'd imagine since Doomsday's in here, Superman's going to give everything he has in order to kill the beast, only to die himself... momentarily. Just like in the comics, the animated movie and in Superman Returns without Doomsday. Remember how in the final trailer there's a scene with Martha Kent turning around and dropping a coffeepot? I'd imagine it would be her turning to see a news report about the supposed death of Superman and she'd react to it naturally. And behind her there seems to be sunlight. So the morning would already manage to come when the Man of Steel would fall. We'd get to see even The Dark Knight during daylight (or morning, perhaps, in this case). Sacrifice would be the ultimate way Superman would show, that he cares and prove all the haters, even Batman, wrong. And how it's called DAWN of Justice -- the whole sunlight thing would be pretty symbolic and poetic. Jor-El said people would join his son in the sun. And Superman's memory would be honored and then he'd come back... shining... the symbol of hope. So maybe he dies near the sunrise and returns the same way.
