Lou in pretty sure I could watch you build any boat. So to that I say, build the boat you most want to build. Your enthusiasm is part of what makes this channel great.
Have had circular saws wander , more times then I can count, usually when cord gets caught. Never imagined doing curves like you do. Thx, love this series.
Hello Lou from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Happy to hear you have another project in the works. Your videos are a highlight of the week! Cheers!
A Hearty Work Boat was a really good choice for getting people interested. Most on YT are very refined high end crafts or small plywood [nothing wrong with plywood] box boats. You show us why it's done this way, and we thank you.
Your knowledge and skills are amazing Lou, but your ability to teach and impart that knowledge is first class. I'll be watching eagerly no matter what your next project is.
Next project! Excellent news! I have throughly enjoyed Lou's building this boat. Good learning process. I hope Jamestown sales go up for his sponsorship ! I know they are my go to supplier. Thanks Lou!
Lou. You make a lots of us smile with every one of these videos. Your explanations are always enjoyable to see and to hear. I can not thank you enough for the inspirational methods and craftsmanship which you show to us, the viewers. I'm sure that you will have a bunch of people who come to view that boat. Thank you again for all your efforts to include us in this wonderful journey.
Outstanding work Lou. I'll be in Bristol to see the boat. On behalf of everyone please make long video's. Because watching you work is better than anything on TV.
I sure wish I could make it up there in April to meet you and see the boat in person. Love your videos and have enjoyed every minute of this building journey. Thanks Lou!
I'm just sitting here drinking my coffee... Supervising you build that boat(piece of art). Very glad to hear you will be working on another project after you complete this one. I don't want to rush you on this one; but I would very much like to see your take on a small coastal sailboat with raising keel. This may be the challenge you deserve.
I'm smiling like an idiot after watching this video and am sooo happy to hear there is another build to come. These videos are one the highlights of each my weeks. Thank you so much for doing these, I assure you Lou they are VERY appreciated.
I enjoy watching your work. This build is interesting to me because I grew up on Mt. Desert Island, Maine, Bass Harbor specifically, and this boat reminds me of the skiff I used as a teenager for lobstering and clamming. Looking forward to seeing it completed.
Paul it is hard to describe the joy I get from watching this video series. Look forward to everyone and appreciate the significant effort that goes into filming and editing theses videos. I will go back and watch it all again when it is completed. Your talent for describing the process is only exceeded by your skill as a master boat builder. Thank you
I have really enjoyed your series, Lou. Thank you for taking the time and paying attention to detail. You give us multiple camera angles, dialog over parts where you speed up the work so we can see it all with a summary of what it involves. It makes for a very nice production, and really showcases your skills and teaching abilities. It's been a wonderful series. So much appreciated.
For what it's worth Lou, I'd love to see a sailing vessel for the next build! I can't wait till next Thursday and the next installment. Thank you for documenting and sharing your knowledge! You are a true American craftsman in every sense of the meaning.
It is 2am Sunday morning, March 5. I am so glad I found this project before the boat launch. I've just binge-watched the whole series and loved every moment!
Wonderful work again. Great to hear that there will be another project coming! I wish I could make the tent sale, I sure would love to see the boat in person and to have a chance to talk with you. As for your next project I vote for a lapstrake dingy.Keep up the excellent work and fantastic videos.

Lou, I just discovered your skiff series yesterday and have binge-watched to catch up. Your videos are the best that I've found - a nice balance of what, how and why. Can't wait for the rest of the series and whatever project comes next. I join Bobby (below) in voting for a sailing dingy.

Things are really coming together, that's one awesome looking skiff. This is my favorite channel on RUclips so I'm thrilled you will be starting another project.
We are the ones having a ball, Lou. Thanks again. I'm going to try cutting a curve with my skill saw. I imagine there is a much thicker kerf and you start a little further away from the line? Interesting that was a better result for you than the band saw. I am very glad to hear that there will be another project and that you are enjoying the youtube channel with Total Boat. Cheers, Brian in England.
Curve we cut for the bottom plank on a recent restoration of an 1880s rowboat: Leave it a bit proud until you get skills built up and tune up the cut with a belt sander or random orbital sander, 60-80 grit to start: 1.bp.blogspot.com/-BTJUK8PMHqU/VvFGMxO-P2I/AAAAAAAARsQ/6-fEs0qmbmkJyKDsr12AVYnu4_RJekNDg/s400/bottom%2Bplank%2Bcurve.jpg

How about doing a Jericho Bay Lobster Skiff or something similar. I'm looking to build a small classy wooden boat for lake fishing that my old Mercury 20 would be able to push around. Keep up the great work. You are a great teacher even for us old woodworkers! We'll always have something new to learn. Thanks
Hey Lou! I just noticed I missed to see this video on the episode. Your knowledge and your passion are unreachable. You are my hero!! Thanks

He did mention in a previous video that he uses the cheapest, thinnest circ saw blades he can find as they have that extra tiny bit of flex.
