Thank god you exist and make me discover good games otherwise I would just cry in a corner playing celeste or stardew valley for the 22th hour in a day
Thank you for making this! Sometimes we just need a shorter experience to break away from the almost soul-crushingly chore centric games that are more and more common these days.
As a math nerd I would really recommend Tandis. It's a puzzle game about topological transformations on a plane, and trying to mold a specific object out of them I've also recently finished Wavetale which is a really chill and beautifully illustrated short action-adventure game about wavegliding and fighting goo
I describe Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip as a family friendly GTA. It has great features like if you let your kid play and they get stuck, you can sent Terry to a checkpoint instead of restarting the game or go to the main menu.
Have you heard of Leap Year? It’s a short Metroid brainia where you learn new mechanics playing through the game. It’s only takes few hours to beat but it’s very worth it to play.
oh also (not sure if you coveref it before) but if you're looking for unique and well-designed platformers, i recently fell in love with Super Magbot. it's wonderfully clever with it's magnet jumping and pulling mechanics and forces players to really quickly react to environment since the polarity of magnets matters for the parkour
Webbed is so good. I feel the same about Baba is You. Fantastic game, but way too hard for me to get very far. Donut County is wonderful too. I just picked up World of Goo again to prepare for the sequel and it's still wonderful. A Short Hike is still my go to short game recommendation.
Not true. It took me a few years and I still didn’t finish Webbed. Also I don’t think it’s meant to be finished in two days. It’s better to stretch it out.
My shameless suggestion is to try out my own game called Idylls of the Lunar Maria. It's a car-crash of slay the spire and match 3 mechanics made into a colourful storybook. Also Tiny Terry looks amazing, I'm all for the GTA-like genre being a thing.
Either you make it so good and price it right that people won't be assholes. Or you do shit to pad the time out, in which case it may make the game feel worse. Some games add achievements designed to make you waste extra time. However, some make achievements that incentivise you to play the game in different ways. Don't forget, a lot of us do the whole wish-list a ton of games, pick them up on sale, then forget about them until months later when we sit down to play them. At that point it's well past the opportunity to refund. Best thing you can do is to just try to make the best game you can. A happy customer is a returning customer. If you make a good game even if its short and sweet, you have impressed a member of your key demographic, and they will remember and probably follow you, and give you good reviews, provide word of mouth, and eagerly await your next bigger venture, so on.

still great games though :)
'I love bugs in video games' -nocaps 2024. Let's not take that out of context.
Baba is You broke me.
My favorite weekend game is A Short Hike. The gliding feels great in that game.
an absolute classic
I like webbed and donut county. Looks like games with "Oh no :3 XD" energy
Tiny Terry was SUCH a treat to play 👌

Is tandis language independent?

really enjoyed the vid! if you're gonna make another one, I'd suggest adding DUD or Asgard's Fall :D

Webbed was an amazing game such a beautiful experience
Have you played Wandersong?
Also, I really like how you showed us upcoming projects these devs are currently working on.
nope! looks very cute
Recent new releases i’m currently playing and gushing over:
Super dungeon muncher (platformer?)
Dream warrior (retro text-based rpg)
Towerheart looks like Void Stranger-lite

few days, few years.. what's the difference? xD

Fun thing - sometimes it's hard to find the game Webbed, because of it's title.
😭 oh I bet, especially when it just came out
have you played oneshot yet? it's AMAZING
nooo
@@nocapsbb you need to !!! its one of those games you can only experience once 😭
im working on a short game but im scared to release it. itll be around 2 hours, but people can just return it once theyre done on steam.
don't be! i think that most people aren't assholes and wouldn't do that. the ones who would are just the *very loud* minority
