- Tears of the Kingdom is great and all, but I wonder what is next for the Zelda series, there has been a game almost every year for a while now, so I'm excited for what is next!

Same. Put 130 hours into the 3ds version and would totally buy a remake. However since the 3Ds version came out quite recently I doubt it will come anytime soon. Plus it might not appeal to newer fans who have only ever experienced the newer more open titles.

Technically this is the first legend of Zelda Game
Why not a remake of the original Zelda on the NES. It was an open world style and would work well with the BOTW/TOTK engine.
I was thinking this as well! The original was made with emphasis on exploration, and it would be cool to see that kicked up a notch with the botw/totk engine
If anything they’d remake the first game in the style of the link’s awakening remaster. I doubt they’d change the entire style of the game and call it a remake.
Actually, this would work with Adventure of Link. I mean, in 3D, it's hard to explain, but here it is:
The overworld of Zelda 1 is visible in the map of Adventure of Link, and comparing with all the other areas, it's pretty small, but in Zelda 1, it is not, so if a "open" overwolrd area is smaller than the actual explorable world, that means Adventure of Link has the biggest map ever

The slow Zora swimming, the slow deku water hopping, ice arrow nerf, and save-and-keep-playing after every owl statue, different stray fairy locations, different bomber hiding spots, etc. (I’m sure I’m missing more…), were all amazing!! They definitely had someone smart working behind that game!

For the next Zelda game, I would like the relationship of Link and Zelda to blossom even further, bringing back the Triforce (since it has been within the Princess the whole time), the return of Demise, explore places beyond Hyrule (since Sidon's wife Yona came from a different Domain) and to see the pair become new rulers of Hyrule.

I think the next mainline game will be in the past at the time of the first calamity when Shiekah tech was at its peak. That’s what the crafting system will be based around. I can just feel it.

Sorry to add a second reply, but we all know an FF7-styled (realistic) remake would never happen, mainly being Nintendo would most likely never make another realistic Zelda game.

Botw and Totk have built up a story line and I think they will make a third game
dlc is more possible than a third game like 50 to 30% chance and dlc is the 50
A third installment to the BOTW/TOTK series would be incredible, but I don’t want it to come first. Three Zelda games of the same style and story coming out in a row would leave little wiggle room for ideas for newer Zelda game styles. If it DOES happen. I think it will centered around the theme of power (the last two were wisdom and courage) and center around the Yiga.

The reward isn't the high defense when upgraded since there's other setups with a higher total defense stat, but it's the hint the developers are giving players on what's to come. When you visit Pura, Impa, Cece, and other historians, they state that you look exactly like the first Calamity hero. As for the next story: "At this time, we are not planning to release additional content," Aonuma said to Famitsu (via VGC). "We feel like we have already fully explored and exhausted the gameplay possibilities in this world. Initially, the reason we decided to develop a sequel was because we believed there was still value in experiencing new gameplay within that particular Hyrule. If in the future we find a compelling reason, we may revisit that world once again. Whether it’s another sequel or an entirely new title, I believe the next game will offer a completely new experience. I hope you’ll look forward to it." In another interview, there's a hint that the next game will be a prequel in the storyline to BOTW/TOTK. That being said, it's a huge nod in both BOTW/TOTK that the next story would be a prequel and the rise of the Ancient Hero, who is most likely the first Link incarnation, a possible Garudo (red hair) + Zonai (race type) + Hylian (pointy ears) underdog that has to fully leverage the Spirit of Courage to overcome the First Calamity with the ancient guardians and divine beasts. Maybe because of the increased desire for Zelink that was missed out in TOTK, maybe this time Zelda and Link would actually have a more serious relationship to help overcome their trials together.

I would love a big oot overhaul. Maybe with the dungeons mostly the same, but a couple new areas? Or maybe just more dungeons, maybe optional ones? Also, whichever is the best version of the water temple, there are better versions than the classic one, right?
Water temple is the same in all versions. What differs, however, is that in the 3ds version, the iron boots are items instead of gear, and can be mapped to normal item slots, so you don't have to constantly go in and out of the menu.

Oot is one of my personal favorite zelda games, because it was the first one i ever played, and to see a remake with better graphics, controls, story elements, dungeons, and maybe some modern characters and their designs (the old zora designs literally gave me nightmares but we dont talk about that) i would die a happy woman

i think a really cool concept for a new zelda game would be a breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom art style with the minnish. I’ve always thought the minnish were such a cool race and combined with the art style of the current games, shrinking and growing sizes with a minnish cap or something similar would be a fun experience.
I think they should do just that, but with Four Swords. The switch was the perfect candidate for that game but they didn’t make it.

A remake of Oracle or season's and Oracle of time, but included with it is the unmade third game Oracle of Secrets.
Maybe make it that to unlock Oracle of Secrets you have to complete both of the other games first.
alternatively and hear me out, the previous two mainline Zelda's (Botw and Totk) are both colour coded to each triforce part i. e. Botw was blue for courage, Totk was green for wisdom soi it would make sense if the next one was red for strength and added crafting/more combat abilities and outcomes

Get ready this my idea:
I think the next zelda should be a new link mix between tp link, oot link and skyward sword link. Prefferably tp link's realism and abilites, skyward sword links, abilities and dugeons, and oot links dugeons and, fire arrows.
Nintendo should use the heart peices instead of the light blessings or spirit orbs.
They should use the stamina bar but no stamina vessels, and they should make where stamina is only used for running up walls, and sprinting.
My plot would be:
Fresh new hyrule, mixed with tp, oot, and skyward swords hyule layout. Link should be older like 21, and have much strength. It should be link has some evil spirit trying to take controll of him. He somtimes goes a little high on killing enemies, putting them through pain. Through the dugeons he slowly gets rid of this spirit making him evil.

They already redid ocarina, the 3ds version has enhanced graphics. Also if you pay attention in the water temple there are markings all over the walls which make navigating that godforsaken place much easier, but the whole game got a huge graphical boost.
And then they could include the rest of the story, like, after he beats gannon and goes back in time to do so again as a child before gannondorf can take over hyrule.

I feel like (and hope) that if they make an oot remake they are going to release majora's mask remake with perhaps in the same of mario superstars with both games in one title
I had an idea for a Zelda game called link to the past present and future where Link can change randomly or when you press a certain button into all of his forms from across every game and you can like swap between his different skill sets and or weapons and there might also be a multiplayer option

Remaster the Twilight Princess to be open world, and create an epilogue of things to do afterwards.
(Might be able to make the game three times larger with a few adjustments to graphics, and adding an epilogue!)
