What a beauty! Awesome. Thank you.
It's just amazing that you just can't kill old iron workhorses. They might need a little coaxing but they more likely than not revive. Amazing work gentlemen. I am enjoying the videos. Cheers from Vancouver, Canada!
I enjoy seeing old iron like this restored to its former glory.
Well done to the whole team. You deserve a round of applause. 10/10 .
Awesome video! I also liked how they sat around and ate good at the end. Its just like that here in Western Kentucky US.
Nice work gentlemen, give him a new life !! Greetings from André Kock in the Netherlands
I dont understand the language...but I recognize the wife's reaction to you bringing home "more junk" ...I get the same reaction.
😁👍
Yes his wife was not impressed, don't understand why ? 😉
All he have is two draglines, two old cars, and a bunch of old tractors.... 🤣
@@henrikgandrup Happy man !
Wonderfull
The love for old things is born.
Now the restauration...😉
Thank you, this video takes me back to our 20 years or so of holidays in Denmark (Henne). The lake (of course with trout), the language and - most of all - eating sausages (pølsen) with remoulade sauce (the yellow bottle) in the rain. Greetings from The Netherlands!
Thank, yes we love remoulade here in Danmark I can't eat french fries without it 😉
And you are welcome at Henne again, when Covid will allows again... 🌊🌞
@@henrikgandrup Ah yes, fish and chips in that fishstore in the harbour of Ringkobing, with lots of Remoulade sauce....
You Danes were noted for great ship building also! Nice job guys. Really nice to see those old machines move on their own and saving it from its grave!
I wish to see Part 3 when You completely renovate it. I renovate old buildings and tools, furniture etc. in all of my free time and it is a great fun and sometimes a great challenge. But it is a divine feeling to see old dying things to reborn in Your hands. Anyway, my wife has got the same feeling about it...
A great job, love seeing stuff like this saved :)
Interesting event !!!
Greet from Slovakia.
Great hope you enjoyed that ,great video have nice restoration from down under 👋🇦🇺😀
An interesting old machine. I hope there will be a Part 3!
There will be a part 3. But it will take some time. Have you seen this link, or is it only available in Denmark ? It is from Danish broadcast tv www.dr.dk/drtv/se/soeren-ryge_-michael-og-gravemaskinen_222559
@@henrikgandrup Nice to see the jib back on again :)
Bet that food and drink tasted good after that effort. well done
Nice rescue !!!! thanks for sharing !!!!
What a beautiful machine.
The woman at the end... My own mother... Looking at my father with disgust... Now what??? He always said she was even tempered... Mad all the time!!
Thank you and greetings from England
Un bel lavoro. Tutti bravissimi.!
Loved the steering brake assistant @29:20 😎
Brilliant job, 2 good videos, That old Lister sounds awesome............From Cheshire, England........
Great videos part 1 and this one... You got my respect and my subscription
Over here in Canada local government would have a fit seeing their newly tarred road meet the tracks of this machine . I notice that Danish women give men the same look , as Canadian women ! LOL !
I think they also do here in Denmark, only they dont have to know.
I recognized that look right off. It is a curse to have a love for old machinery and to be married because sooner or later its going to break down and you are going to be covered in grease and she is going to say take those clothes off on the back porch and you are going to say Its my house too and thats when the fighting starts. I have lived through this experience. Good Luck!!
You can tell the age of the boy by the price of the toy. 🤗
Good thing the door is open , to went out the smoke from the clutch .
I think that was how fast they moved even when they were brand-new. Time was not Money in those days. . . .
In UK when vehicles were first introduced onto the roads the law required a man to walk in front with a red flag to warn of the danger. I never knew that in Denmark a man had to walk in front carrying a steering lever. Maybe the lever should have a red flag on it to warn of a change in direction.
There is a wheel at the operatorstation where you normally can steer it, but it was a bit rusty.... 😉
Gent in his '20's love of wife - 1st. - old vehicles - 2nd ; - ....... Gent in his '60's love of old vehicles - 1st. ........ - love of wife 2nd. Out of interest did he get the 'dragline bucket' or did that disappear many years ago, seemed there was a lot of 'wire rope' missing off those front drums as well. Nice to see a 'complete' video from start up, moving, loading, and right round to parking in yard.
They have the original bucket, can you see this link, outside Denmark ?
It's from danish broadcast TV.

Michael who owns the machine, is 37 years old, and he is not sure, what he loves most - wife or dragline... 😂😂
The steering of this machine is not controlled from the operator's cabin?
It looks like a little house, you could live in it.
give it some TLC... sheet metal work, glazing and paint.. then it'll last another 70 years ..awesome vintage dragline crane!!
Meget flot vlog.
Echt cool...
R u guys going to restore
It. Can't believe that thing
Still runs.
It can only be steered from the front? That must had been very dangerous work!
Normally you can steer it with a wheel at the operatorstation, but it's a bit rusty.... 😉
I am just amazed this machine moves under its own power, anybody know when it ran last and was fully operational?
It's about 45 years since the engine broke down. So they changed the engine and used a lot of weekends in 2020 before they could move it.
@@henrikgandrup is it being restored now?
R they gasoline engines or diesel.
It's a Lister diesel engine, and they had to charge the engine, before they could move it. They are going to restore it.
It is my colleague and one of his friends, that owns it now.
To steer the thing, a guy would have to go outside and twist a knob to activate that sides brake/disengage clutch.
Woah that thing is REALLY old.
Very
rain, of course
Är det planerat att renovera? Får vi följa renoveringen här?
Yes,renovering planlagt.
To steer the crane. is that the only means, a guy at one end of the tracks with a long Bar as it moves. If so that's scary . In America that machine would be decommissioned or just Band by OSHA. If that was the only way to steer ..
There is a wheel at the operaterstation you normally can turn, when you will use the tracks, but they are a bit rusty after 45 years. On earlier models you had to do it, like they do here.
We dont care, what they do in Am.,and dont know what osha is,maybe they ban weapons in schools?
👍
Is there any chance some video of rebuilding the old girl may be in the offing? Edited to add; your wife seems to be tickled pink with your new project.
Mike
Has this equipment been abandoned, or is it just old worn out and waiting for the price of scrap metal to go up?
It was abandoned for more than 45 years, now my colleague got it, and moved it to his place. He and a friend will fix it. They installed another engine, before they could move it.
They have been working all summer 2020 before they could move it, the undercarriage and all the clutches was a bit rusty.
Have you seen part 1. ?
@@henrikgandrup Thank you for your reply. I have been watching several RUclips Videos of people rebuilding old machinery and I'm fascinated by the resiliency of the old diesel engines.
Was wird mit dem Bagger gemacht ??
mi consolo , siamo in tanti a recuperare vecchi macchinari
Wife is thinking, How the hell do i get to the shops with this.
The wife's going to be pissed for a while letting that thing taking up her parking spot 😆

That's right, we are from Danmark 🇩🇰 I guess we better speak English on part 3. We never thought we would get any viewers outside Denmark...
