I feel bad for the hate Fox gets, he was guaranteed to be a more strict clone due to the fact that he served directly under Palpatine. He was a victim just like every other clone, only he was forced to have the job most likely to make him callous.
Although he definitely signed his own death warrant by pissing off Anakin.
Well I can absolutely get why He gets that hate, but in general he's a very interesting and twisted character. I think to fully understand Fox you have to look upon him from multiple sides
No, he wasn't a victim. He was like this from the start and I'm 200% sure he knew about who Palpatine really was and about Order 66! Plus he always hated jedi even without it so I can say he did all of this of his own free will!

Fox is probably my favourite Clone behind Rex and Cody. His brutality yet facade of stoicism makes him more interesting than the other Clones. Not to mention the idea that the guy was probably completely aware of Order 66 and Palpatine's true nature, but hid it from his brothers. You can't hate that level of skill and writing genius
Absolutely love the scene where Anakin says “Let..Me..In..”. Fox is is extremely intimidated. Always feel the emotion here.

The issue for me about Fox is his choice of not using stun most of the time. When he found Ahsoka above 3 dead clones, he immediately went for the kill, when he ran at Fives he shot Fives fatally.
In both situations Fox fired on his own comrades with the intent to kill instead of detain and question.

@@fissilepear7805 Palpatine has no reason to let Fives live and be a danger to his plans. Fox was probably under strict orders to eliminate Fives in the earliest opportunity.

I also like Fox. I never hated him. I found out much later why but i still like him.

Honestly wish we got more screentime of Fox that let us truly understand his character so more people could empathize with him and his decision to kill Fives. People say that he was ordered by Palpatine to kill Fives but I don't buy it, he orders Fives to stand down before he shoots him and only pulls the trigger after Fives points a weapon at him, any real world cops would do the exact same in this situation.
I don´t think I would empathize with this character if I knew him better, I think I´d dislike him even more
@@revengeofthecinema I disagree, people hate Fox purely for him killing fives and his participation in arresting Ahsoka despite him making a choice that any other clone commander would. Fox believed Ahsoka had killed his men, and if Thorne had been in that position, I say it's within reason to say he'd have make the same decisions Fox did.

Fox gets way too much hate. He was just doing his job. Palpatine very likely told him to kill fives,and fox still told him to stand down multiple times. Not only that, but Fives was clearly going insane, and holding a jedi general and clone captian hostage, while pointing a gun at fox and his men. He had no choice.
And to those who day he could have just stunned him, do you really think palpatine would take that chance? Of course not. Fox was ver likely ordered to kill fives.
ppl are complaining about him bc of the way he treated Ahsoka as well. Without hesitation he attemps to kill her, so it is also in his nature to be ruthless and brutal

Stun shots are also slower than regular blaster shots and fives is an arc trooper not a regular clone trooper so there’s a chance he could’ve fired a shot before he got stunned which could’ve led to Fox or one of his men being killed or injured so of course Fox isn’t going to risk the lives of himself and his men over him.
@@revengeofthecinemaconveniently leaving out the fact that Fox just uncovered the dead bodies of his brothers and comrades right after ahsoka seemingly force choked someone, broke out of jail, and stole her lightsabers back.
Idk what other thought a reasonable person is supposed to make.

Fox’s execution of fives was actually mercy because if fives got captured he would have been tortured
well I have to disagree, I´m sure Anakin and Rex wouldn´t let that happen

Why would fox think ahsoka is innocent, She broke out of prison (Which is illegal) She evaded the police(illegal) She stood there next to 3 dead clones with cuts from her lightsabers and she ran from the bodies even though she was a witness(Which might not be illegal but is pretty bad)

he is my favorite clone, because he is one of the few that behave how clones did in Episode 2 and 3. they were all no nonsense, followed orders, and didn’t ask any questions. i like the more free thinking clones, but they don’t compare to Fox, Neyo, or Bacara

Fives attempted to kill chancellor palpatine, fled the scene, took a jedi commander and a clone commander hostage, and fives was a highly trained arc trooper suffering a mental breakdown. fox yells, don’t pick that gun up, fives picks it up and aims at fox and his men. Fox was trying to protect his brothers. if fives gets stunned and arrested, he will be executed for treason, or murdered/assassinated in prison. fox gave fives a peaceful death, and fox even mourns over what he did, the one time we see him have emotion other than when his soldiers die
@@se7ente3n well first of all Clone Captain Rex, but I wouldn´t agree on your other points either. I don´t see the peaceful death, when Fives gets shot and Fox doesn´t mourn more than the other Shock troopers.

When i was younger i absolutely hated Fox for what he did to Fives but that was literally the only thing he did for me to hate him. When I look at it now I realize he was just doing his job, and I mean sure he could’ve set his blaster to stun but much like any other clone he was just following orders. Regardless of actions I still think he’s quite cool.
I hope we see more Commander Fox in The Bad Batch and Tales of The Jedi Seasons 2 or Seasons 3

Hell as bad as the clone wars movie was, it showed Fox's attitude when the war started. The man personally led a strike team to apprehend Zero the hutt. Effectively being an MP probably made him cold. After all the police serve the people while the military fights the enemy; when the military become the police, the people start becoming the enemy. Let's not forget that the Coruscant Guard were NOT liked by the general public.

Fox gets hate for literally no reason. Fox was doing his duty and job as w soldier and head of security. He had every reason to shoot Fives in that moment, dude had just pointed a blaster at him and his men after telling him several times to stand down and to not do it, showing that Fox didn't want to kill Fives, and only did it out of defence. Same with Ahsokas arrest, he was doing his job and following orders.
The "follow me" scene is so chilling.

He was ordered to kills fives. The fact he gave him a chance to surrender says a lot. Plus fives, an ARC trooper was about to pull a gun on him and his men. Are you going to start resetting your blaster to stun in that situation or take out the threat immediately?
@@Swampy0110he could have, and *should have*, had his entire team, including himself, set their weapons to stun before they entered the building. Remember, Fives didn't attack Fox, Fox was the one that initiated that encounter. He had the time to prepare, and capture instead of kill, and he actively chose not to.
@@bittern4464 Coruscant Guard report to the Chancellor himself and no Jedi...Palpatime ordered Fox to kill Fives....Fox was Palpatine's security and hence was only loyal to him so when palps ordered him to kill...he did so accordingly...and even though it was he still ordered Fives to stand down atleast so that he doesnt need to shoot him. Fox and his men entered the are with captured general and captain and an ARC trooper who supposedly attacked chancellor and is on the lose abt to pull a gun and having an order to be killed..

Always when palpatines plan was about to get ruined he fixed it helped droids go to the correct room
Killed Fives when he almost revrealed order 66
Pushed Anakin close to the dark side in the halway scene
I dont even think he knows his guns can go into stun mode
He also saved Padme making sure she can die and Anakin can be succsesfully manipulated to join the dark side

You can’t really blame fox for what he had to do. He assumed Ahsoka killed three of his brothers and a suspect in a bombing attack. After that incident he had to shoot Fives despite warning him to don’t pick up the pistol multiple times after kidnapping both a Jedi and a clone captain, and the added pressure that he attacked the Supreme Chancellor. As many clones once said “Good soldiers follow orders”

He was under direct orders to kill fives outright. The fact that he gave fives a chance to surrender says he wasn’t an all bad person. But when an ARC trooper is about to pull a blaster on you and your men, are you going to faff around resetting your blaster or incapacitate the threat asap

Fox is a character created to be hated on in the eyes of the viewer.
I mean if I were in his situation I would also do the same as what he did since I wouldn't have any informations the viewers had.

@@revengeofthecinema I just don’t understand that. I adore Fives, but he was raving like a lunatic, armed, had hostages, and wanted for an assassination attempt. Fox gave him multiple chances to stand down and only fired after Fives had his gun up and was about to fire first. Stun has been shown to not always work first shot, so it was too risky for that. Fox did everything right. People are just salty Fives is dead. *shrug*

Every time someone brings up a reason to hate him, I see about 7 logical reasons for him doing what he did. Man does not deserve any of it. Just doing his job efficiently. *shrug*
@@GenifaFFX the clone wars established in the very first episode the importance of independent thinking of the clones and here we have Fox, he never questtioned any order he was given and he let some terrorist droids in the center of Coruscant causing countless deaths in the capitol, tries to shoot Ahsoka without hesitation and killed the best hope to stop the rise of the empire. Fox is directly responsible for trillion deaths, but yeah he didn´t do anything wrong

@@regularguy2807 He was ordered to kill Fives, one of his brothers. He should’ve realised the orders were wrong, and if he didn’t, he should have at least put his blaster to stun before they entered the warehouse.
