Very informative video. My son and I have just made the change from Elementor to Oxygen, the reason I came across your video is because I am watching and learning as I go, like most of us do. Yes it is a bit of a learning curve but I do believe we will better off with Oxygen.
I find that Oxygen gives you the most flexibility when creating a website for a client. Whatever they want can be delivered with Oxygen, no questions asked. It saves time writing a custom bootstrap theme or heavily modifying another theme, plus its fast, very fast.
I use elementor and learn Oxygen on the side, love them both. Elementor is great for quick and fast websites and Oxygen is similar to Webflow and the sky is the limit, yet more intense. If someone wants to pay only $200.00 or less for a website, not going to put my coding hat on!
Hi Alex. Enjoyed the video. I currently use Elementor/Elementor Pro for most of my projects. I've invested in both Oxygen and Bricks to test out. At this point, Oxygen is WAY over my head ... but I have the lifetime license and time to spend learning. I'm concentrating on learning how to really use Bricks next and then on to Oxygen.
It's been a year and Elementor has made improvements also adding Flexbox, but is still slow. Also, Oxygen is about to go to a yearly pricing tier. Would you still make the same recommendations now? Would you choose Bricks over Oxygen or Elementor? I know a lot of people have been switching to Bricks and they are also say on their website that they will eventually move to a yearly pricing tier. I'm not sure which one to grab, but Oxygen is a lot cheaper than Bricks on the one time lifetime price. Thanks!
I have been waiting for you to start making content on Oxygen...woohoo! I think you would be able to post really useful stuff considering your coding and WP background (have done a couple of your courses and have learnt so much from you). Started with Elementor but moved to Oxygen about a year ago and you are right it is so much more flexible and fast. Also right about the great Elementor eco system with plugins that extend its functionality. But Oxygen is growing its user base and popularity. I have to say I love Oxygen but still keeping the Elementor subscription and watching the improvements they make.
As much as I would love to make content around Oxygen I have to be honest with you, it's gonna take a while for me to do so Maya. The truth is Oxygen are not making any efforts to encourage content creators like myself to make content for them. They have no affiliate program and have never reached out to me either. They seem to have a very standoffish attitude. Maybe that will change soon but I am not holding my breath.
@@TheWebMonkey True, Oxygen are different in that respect, but I definitely think there is growing demand for Oxygen content, while Elementor is saturated. And many Oxygen content creators have paid content they offer and get quite a loyal following quickly. But I understand what you mean.
@@TheWebMonkey So are you telling us that you only review items that provide you with an affiliate kickback instead of just reviewing plugins because of the quality... Interesting... I understand you want money for your time but this comment made me realize these are biased reviews lmao.

thanks for sharing this post with us, i want say now just started using wordpress thanks to your videos and introducing the elementor plugin its amazing by the way, so i preferred for starter use elementor when decide make a video with oxygen maybe but maybe i give a try.
Hi Alex, It was a great comparison! I am a full-on Elementor supporter, and use it a lot. I think this is the best tool for developers. Although many of my friends have switched to Oxygen, and they suggested that I try it out as well. I really enjoyed watching this video a lot. I gained a lot of information about Oxygen, and it helped me decide whether I want to try the Oxygen builder out. It was a great watch, and I will definitely share this within my network to help other people in my network as well.
Sorry for language mistakes. I use Eleemntor in the past and now im use Oxygen. From my point of view with Oxygen you have much more possibilities to master your website. But the downside is a bit slow interface and loading time in backend compare to other builders like Bricks, Zion and even Elementor (as i remember). Another downside (its my subjective opinion) of Oxygen is that: Elementor seems to be safer option from "bugs perspective" because Elementor has a very large number of employees behind it ... i dont know 200 people. It makes you feel safe. Oxygen is small company. But in summary dont buying Oxygen when Elementor have such insane price plan is just stupid.
If you look at their team page on the website you will see that Oxygen only have 6 employees actually. I am surprised though that you said Oxygen have a slow interface. I think their interface is very fast but I agree with you that Oxygen offers you more possibilities to master your website.
@@TheWebMonkey Unfortunelly have slow interface: loading time aproximatelly 10-15 seconds after click "edit in oxygen" and relatively laggy interface (try to use parallel Zion and Bricks from this point of view) . Thank you so much Sir for this video. Well elementor's rise to popularity was because they offered a free version, people were impressed and went ahead and bought premium version. Oxygen seems to have no free or trial version to use. How will people want to buy the product when they haven't test driven it? Quite lame marketing from Oxygen i think.

First of all, you have a huge misunderstanding about what Oxygen really is. There´s no even a comparison to begin with. Oxygen is NOT a page builder is a THEME builder...There´s a big difference there! Oxygen will be the closest anyone without a coding background to build a fully custom themes from scratch. In fact, if you have used Oxygen you will know that after activating it, it will disable any and all themes from your WordPress installation. The only advantage Elementor has it´s that it´s far more user-friendly than Elementor.
No I do not have a huge misunderstanding of what Oxygen really is. I only used the words 'page builder' because that's what it's commonly referred to as. Since you want to get technical with me I am going to correct you by stating that Oxygen is NOT a theme builder but infact a site builder. You cannot build a theme using the plugin. Second if you don't have a coding background you are not going to be able to take full advantage of what Oxygen offers you. Also Elementor can be considered to be a site builder as well because just like Oxygen it allows you to build page templates and content. Oxygen just happens to offer you more flexibility and control.
