I wish they would quit nerfing everything and fix the bug where the quasar is hitting the shield gen shield...it's becoming annoying. Also, I was in a bugged lvl 5 against the bit earlier and noticed the increase in bots and BS. I was destroying a fabricator and whatever dev spawned in units directly on me and killed me then they vanished. I have it clipped. They spawn units onto of me on purpose then despawned them right before my eyes. I've honestly never been more frustrated because the entire match I kept saying "idk guys, this doesn't feel right..." then that happened as I was soloing an entire base again. Sure, give me odds that arnt good but spawning units on me and then despawning them. That really annoyed tf out of me.whats even crazier is earlier in the mission I made a comment about what if they do spawn troops directly on me.
It was hell to down that last base. Fought tooth and nail and at 1miniye 10 seconds left I finally got it and made it to extraction to be given 3 hulks and 2 tanks on a level 5 extraction...they didn't want us to finish that mission. I'm cool with difficult games but actively making things impossible mid mission is something I'm simply not okay with.
We finished it, 2 of 4 of us did, we ran out of reinforcements at like minute 23. I kept looking around like, "wow, they really just made this impossible..."
Oh yeah I think everyone here can agree on you with the nerfing. Once the next update comes out, we'll find out if it's good or bad lol.

I mean... I realize it's news but it's not worth talking about 5 places being able to purchase HD2 again. That's not even 5% of the people who got locked out.

all those countries are 3rd world sh1t holes. all players counted are prob not more than 5 thousand.
Those are regions with PSN access, that is the only reason they were unblocked. There is no "discussions" internal or otherwise, all regions could/can be unblocked within 24 hours IF Sony actually requested it. This fact confirmed by literally every developer/publisher that has commented on this issue.

They can't do a 24hour switch unfortunately. They likely need to go over a lot of legal back and forth discussions over each region to avoid any legal backlash, as well as do so in a way that companies like steam, or a country's digital support group are satisfied that this won't become a problem again.
All in all it's unfortunately one of those things of an instant on switch, but a complicated and long reversion process.
@@skullhall5k324 The only possible legal issues they could need to settle first is Sony assuring Valve they won't pull the same shit later, and possible the fact they knowingly sold the game at launch in regions they knew for a fact didn't have PSN access.
In the first case drawing up a legally binding document that PSN will remain optional on Steam listed products should it self take no more than 24 hours and that is including time for Valve's lawyers to review it, the only way it could take longer is if Sony tries/is trying to get away with adding a time frame for when they will eventually be allowed to do it( "How about we won't do it for 9 months and then it is retroactive? 1 year? 6 months and only on games released after those 6 months?" ). Contracts and such only become time consumingly complicated when one or more parties are trying to avoid being straight forward.
The second shouldn't involve the players at all really but rather Sony owing Valve some kind of fee for purposefully listing the game in regions they knew didn't have PSN access, and possible a fine from the FTC and/or SEC for fraud.
@@skullhall5k324 Steam is really not part of this beyond setting whatever block list they are sent. Unless the game does become a literal scam they aren't getting involved.

Sony is probably debating if they really can promise Steam that the PSN linking will >forever< be optional.
Maybe having a company such as Sony they are going to have a meeting but haven’t yet. After I worked for a large company there are many meetings and each department is telling that they are more important than the other. I am giving a benefit of the doubt for them to get everything wrapped up in 3 months.
@@CarlosRodriguez-eg1ichonestly this makes the most sense. Corporate bureaucracy slows everything down. With PSN not being required, there is not logical reason to not unban the countries. It is losing them potential money. Either that or they plan to require PSN again eventually and are working on getting it available in more countries first
I mean, major order won't be done when AV is 100%, its a hold until the end of the timer, so a planet or two will come under defense.
The reward for the bot order was a stratagem that was already ignored for a previous order, I mean it lost to the gd airburst. I’m not in the least surprised we didn’t complete it. It’s not a secret mines are the least used strat. Not only that but a large chunk of the community is maxed on all currencies so the medal reward is useless.

Oh I'm not expecting that. Steam player count is usually what I go off of. And it has declined since the regions blocked.

There are still countries that are blocked.
There's still 175 countries blocked. They only unblocked five countries, and most of those countries have very limited internet access as is despite being US territories. They likely contributed to less than 1% of the overall player base as a whole.

The fact that someone asked wheather the 2B MO was bugged is a good gauge of community confidence in the game stability.
It is literally just a switch they can flip and ask steam to change it and it would happen within the hour
The rest of those countries will not be returning and thus we should keep our negative reviews and stop playing entirely until there is *real* change
From what I read while back from a CM or possibly it was the CEO but one of them had mentioned that it's between Sony and Steam. So who knows why it's taking so long. It seems like it would be that easy to just change it but there's gotta be more to the story here.
Or we can review the game based on the gameplay instead of using the review system to push your flavor of anti corporate activism
This is dumb. The fight was for players who already bought the game to play, and they can. Not for people to buy the game.
If all countries are released immediately I bet server issues would happen.
Players in the blocked regions can still lose access to the game after they have purchased it, if Sony wanted to. Sony has demonstrated that it cannot be trusted, so I would not be surprised if they are just waiting for things to cool off before enforcing the PSN requirement again, then locking out all those who purchased outside of PSN territories.
Those aren't Countries. Those are American US Territories. They could actually be the next states. But ... we slacking.

I expect countries will be brought back based on how much legalese Sony's lawyers have to sift through.

What country are you located and what platform are you using? If PC, same thing happened to a friend of mine. It sucks but contact PS customer support. It took them a few minutes over the phone to get it resolved for him.

@@jangomp3 Im UK, i got numbers under where it says account in game, and i just read that this is linked if it shows the numbers, however I didnt link it before and nothing shows on PSN account web page. Should there be something under authorised apps on the PSN account page

One thing about that major order is the wording:
We have to be holding the planets when the order ends, so even if they all get 100% liberated NOW, that might change by Order end
Actually, today I'm unable to view the Helldivers 2 store page altogether. Used to be I still could view it but that the "add to cart" button was no longer available. Now the page is completely blocked from me. I'm in Trinidad.
In some small way, i enjoy the insane amount of patrols simply for extra kills and more intense game play.
Has anyone had hulks and tanks spawn behind your defensive line on the extract high value assets mission?
Last night i had 2 EHVA missions in a row that with about 8 mins left 2 tanks and 2 hulks where dropped right next to the generators even though we were still defending the middle gate and because the first time we noticed they where back there was when a generator being destroyed we failed the mission before we could run up the hill to take them out.
Would be cool if they unblocked all the countries once the divers complete the current major order.

those 5 countries are US territories, so them being removed is just like the recent 3 that were added, it simply wasnt updated to the expected "psn avail" countries

it's odd that they unlocked the US overseas territories but not the UK ones that are in the same boat
It sucks that the factory striders and Hulks counted the same as regular raiders and marauders.
The major order is not bugged. We have to have all the planets captured when the major order time is over. And for the angles venture thing it is captured but not fully liberated. It will get more and more liberated passively.
In other words the SEAF are just mopping up the last bug holdouts on the planet

For those of us at max requisition slips and no more upgrades to purchase, I kinda wish there was some kind of repeatable purchase we could make so recieving requisition didn't feel pointless.
Maybe planetary defense emplacements after planets have been liberated that slow down enemy invasions?

Good, I have been wondering when they were going to fix the grenade glitch. I admit I have used it a couple of times. But it definitely needs to be fixed.

I get the feeling that all the " balancing" they did created a cascade effect which caused more bugs, I work in a IT and sometimes our dev team make two more changes it sometimes created old bugs resurface. In this Alexus just stuck his hands in the cook jar and got his hand stuck in there. I was playing bugs this morning with the eruptor, compared to using with bots, it seems less effective on bugs for some reason, while the impact granade does what eruptor used to be........
My loadouts have been static cause of all the nerfs. Scorcher and AC for bots, Dominator and EATs for bugs. Airstrike, rail strike and laser for strats.
There is a bug with the breaker Spray&Pray. If you hit reload but cancel by hitting L1 for example, it will reduce your mag but still show as out of ammo. In theory it should still show out of ammo because you cancel the reload but not reduce your magazine count. Reload still works however make sure you are not being attacked. Not sure how we can get this to the devs.
i have noticed that with more than a few weaps, though is more you roman-cancelled a reload and just need to finish it, otherwise the ammo unit is not fully in place as the game sees it, game has a hidden 'incomplete reload' state for possibly all weaps.. have done it with the recoilless, spear, rifles and smgs and later get back to the cancelled reload, it just lets you finish the reload you cancelled out of earlier, rather than pulling the full unload the spent ammo unit, toss it aside, grab a fresh, slot it in and lock/latch/rack thing again.. it lets you pick up at the stage you left off/got interrupted at..
Pretty sure the MO is a “hold these planets until the timer is up” not just to liberate them. So it’s not a glitch that the MO is still active
Jar, sickle, blitzer, punisher, plasma punisher, breaker, breaker incendiary, scorcher, defender, diligence counter sniper, pummeler, adjudicator, senator, redeemer are all still really good

Yesterday in my country Helldivers 2 was available on Steam . Today it was removed from the store. Sad.
I just started this last week, so I still haven't unlocked everything I can. The one thing I will say about weapons is there are a lot I don't really like so far. The newest ones especially have me at odds. Why is the new Sub hand gun shooting with recoil of a Spartan, but does only light penetration damage? If anything this has a round bigger than a Magnum but hit about as hard as a .40 with the kickback that doesn't really suit its damage.
I have consistently just played 1-2 operations per day to prevent burn out. More Primaries are viable against Terminds. More support weapons are viable against Bots.
Divers are being returned, we we dive together once more

I have fun with Plasma Punisher and the Pummeler SMG. Scorcher and Jar 5 are still amazing guns. Scythe has been the slept on primary against bots for me (still fun against bugs). The balance issues and the 180 countries being banned still frustrates me.

Given all that has been going on, I feel we need to pull back a little bit now. We did our part, our voices were heard. Now we wait for Sony and Arrowhead to do their part. At least it is a step in the right direction in the long run.
All the negativity is starting to take its toll. And it’s not mentally healthy at all.

yeah im kinda irritated as well about how we can down a ship right on top of the enemy and it doesn't take out the deployed forces. Like seemingly just about none of them. Thats yet another of a long list of things that should've been fixed. I still play but now there's a few days at a time sometimes before I'll go back.
Also they could unleash more super store armors if they had a program that let players who'd like to do a color change edit, and maybe even some bit changes to some base armor designs as a fan work armor that they could put intot he superstore and reward those players with super credits or something, or even medals or what have you.
Not surprised in seeing the rest getting burnout.
Nerfed guns, unnecessary buff to the enemy waves, and unable to have family & friends to join the game due to being part of the region lock.
Arrowhead hiring more staff is definitely a good sign. It seems like AH's biggest problem with development is the sheer number of players, bugs, and balance oversights. Not to mention that the newest WB contained reskinned armor, and one of their CMs got demoted. They need more hands on all decks.

I feel the recent update nerfed heavy armor. I was getting one shot with heavy armor (medic), used the explosive damage and it helped. Maybe I’m tripping

i get shrapnel was causing issues with team and self kills but ffs you could have left that as a rick when using the weapon!
none of the primaries i play with ( I HATE SHOTGUNS) are worth bringing at this point ; /

Eruptor used to be able to take out the strider in 1 shot now its 2-3!
it does jack all to chargers now, you used to be able to shoot the fleshy bit at the back.
spwerers also take more shots.
It's strange that they only let it be a few countries so far, but this is good news.
Guam is a US territory. They basically banned Florida from playing. The other places are VERY close to the US and I'm surprised that those places were blocked in the first place.

What gets me more than the bugs is all the "[weapon/armor] is now working as described" fixes. Maybe it is just my picky programmer mind, but they should have written the code to pull the description from the weapon/armor code, not separated and hardcoded it.
THE REASON FOR THE FAILURE OF THE ORDERS IS THE USELESS HALF OF THE PLAYER BASE THAT CAN'T FOOKING DO THE ORDERS AND INSTEAD FIGHT BUGS FOR THE WHOLE WEEK

This might be related to the new major order.
I think they are removing some of the countries because Ghost of Tsushima released and is also being review bombed due to Sony blocking countries.
Edit: Ghost of Tsushima does NOT require PSN, but is still blocked in multiple countries.
Personally, I've been returning to civilian life for some time now, thankfully while this mess is ongoing. So I'm fresh to dive back in when they've resolved their most glaring problems.
My suggestion is, rebuff many of their weapons and perhaps even revert some changes that made the game as bad as it sounds, and then focus on the most game breaking bugs and do some proper gameplay testing for they release more updates.
And if you're wondering, no, I'm not in a region locked country.
Yeah, burnt out, the spawns on bots is too much what can you do when you get pushed by everything from everywhere. Kinda hard to tackle 3 walkers with 5 tanks of each, a handful of hulks and a dozen devastators.

I love helldiver's 2 but Sony pretty much stepped on a work of art and we didn't even know what was going on when deciding to go through with this.
If they sincerely did not mean for all this to happen then why did it take so long to unblock or even block the counties that bought the game on PC.
It just feels like they didn't care since it wasn't for the PlayStation.

I think most of the weapons and stratagems are well balanced right now, nearly all of them are useful and can fulfill a job in a build, there are no weapons that just stand out as way better than the rest, and isn't that technically good? Personally I think I would prefer having a few weapons that are very strong but also have equally strong weaknesses, however for that to be useful I think we also need higher difficulties.
yeah.... beginning of a mission... bots/bugs are on full alert with patrols when they notice 4pods hitting their area... not entirely removing the patrol spawn when all bot/bug fabs/holes are destroyed.. reduce it by 30%-40%
and possibly the times when a patrol calls in... bot drops should have another 5-10sec arrival if its a non sabotage mission but if it is, bot drop ships should get in sooner and faster... then for bug breaches.. idk the nearer the nest the faster it goes and vice versa to wherever the farthest nests takes longer or if all nests are destroyed.. it would make a difference to add another 10-15 seconds for a breach to happen if the squad wants or evades the breach..... IDK IDK
yeaah i get the map heat and all that... but when they say realistic as possible... enemy assets should be reduced just by a few percent...
or if a planet like Meridia is a super colony... then by all means let there be hordes
if its a planet like Cyberstan high bots manufacturing then lets dive in hell...
I stopped playing because the patrol update and the weapons nerf make casual solo play unplayable. It’s not fun when I’m being hit by 30 bugs, and the eruptor can’t even one shot a single one, but if I use it at close range, it will still kill me, or leave me vulnerable enough to be one-tapped by a trash mob.
i'm with you dude before the last patch i played every day. Now i cant get through more than one mission before it crashes and i have to re boot. It's sad how fast this awesome game became a sh%#show!

Also the spawn rates might not be such a big deal if there wasn’t such a high headshot accuracy among the enemies. Nothing feels more unfair to me than getting domed the instant I peak from cover or getting one or two shot by a flock of hunters or stalkers.

playing atm is a torture. those enemy spawns are insane. i already only play on chalenging. in every game i end up kiting 200 bugs behind me. and if i manage to somehow kill most of them, that last little fvcker will call a bug breach and it all starts all over again. fire those useless balance team clowns they should

6:20 I could’ve sworn that the bars that show the % were colored orange and red to show where each planet were. If I’m wrong I need to see a doctor but if I’m right then the lack of critical thinking is crazy
The countries that were unblocked were never supposed to be blocked, they are American territories. This does not show a change on Sony's plans, just a fix on Steam's end.
I honestly think Sony is going to try again to do linking, but they are likely going to do it slowly and methodically, and will likely offer rewards (Like how Microsoft offered capes to Minecraft players that migrated their account). I think we may have won the battle against Sony, but not the war.
I am just waiting for weapon buffs...
im still confused why they banned countries that are in EU state, like Baltic state countries, isnt there some eu law that prohibits that?
Only thing pissing me off rn is they know that there has been less people total playing lately (banned countries/people stopped playing)but keep giving out these difficult orders. I just want my warbonds😭 I'm at work too much to not get these order rewards
