Everybody says they are great. Whhy is he The only one saying they’re not? the quality of videos is more than decent. The audio quality is great for the size of the speakers. Yes, they’re not as great as AirPods or as actual pro headphones but for their size they are great.
In the end his review is not that good! sorry not sorry. Well that’s what I feel about his video.🤷🏻♂️

Ive spent the weekend with my G15 transitions. Clear is ok for me but they never get that dark when outside, guess im used to my normal sunglasses being very dark. Ive got about 100 clips now to splice together to create RUclips videos for my other channel. Low light better than expected, sound pickup very good for me, large was huge on my head so got standards, let friends know i was recording as much as i can, but recorded in 2 bars and a zombie camp out and no weird looks. I enjoy the listening to music best walking around, sounds good. They are a business write for my channel so meh. Mostly needed these to film hands free content like gocarts, ziplining, shooting etc...otherwise still using Insta360 cameras mostly. Looking forward to new AI features in January ish. "Hey meta, answer this trivia question" lol.

Would you recommend the transition lenses? I can’t decide which ones to order. Issue with the sunglasses lenses is that you can’t really wear them inside. Do the transition lenses solve this in your opinion? Say you are outside in the sun then go into a supermarket or shop will they go clear quickly or will people still give you that ‘why is this guy wearing sunglasses inside’ look?

I ordered these today.. prescription transitions G15. I always get transitions lol bought these based on zuck saying multi modal AI coming early 2024.. audio sounded really good on my side btw also.. lenses look clear as heck to me on camera

I just got mine. It’s not the best but I think it’s good enough for me just to take quick videos for my safety incase of road rage. Only thing i don’t like is that when you hook it up to charge the case, the indicator light turns off, so i don’t know if the case is being charged. And getting out the glasses out the pouch is a bit hard. So you’ll have finger print all over the lens before you can get it out.
Open and close the case if its green its ready 100%
Did you get transitions? If so what are they like for using indoor/outdoor? Do they go fully clear to fully shaded?

You video sure was an eye-opener just as I was convincing myself I needed the RayBan Meta with Transition lenses for filming while driving. Your live stream drive video quality sure didn't look like 1080p, more like 360p, pixelated. I will need more live streams to understand how RayBan and Meta can claim this is 1080p.

Are you able to record with no internet connection? And can you record multiple clips and download all of them, or do you need to save a clip before recording the next one?
You can record multiple, without connection to a phone. I’m not sure how many it can hold before it needs to offload…the number is probably out there somewhere.

This was the regular L size. Yknow honestly I never did try the assistant. Totally forgot that was a feature after I first powered them up and it didn’t work because I hadn’t toggled it on 😅
Thanks for the honest review! I was going back and forth on getting the transitions vs the clear pair. I choose the clear lens. Mine come in on wednesday.

I'm seriously considering a pair but not sure which. I'm leaning to the transitions in xl size.
I think you said you don't like the lenses ...you prefer clear...why?
Are clear or shades better than the transitions? How so?
These transitions were like cloudy inside. Really made them annoying to wear. If you never intend on using them indoors I think the sunglasses ones are probably fine. I’d be interested in trying the clear ones but I can’t see myself using them enough given the limits.

All their stock lenses for these are trash. They spent so money on the tech and cheaped out as much as possible on the actual lenses themselves

As soon as my pair of prescription Wayfarer's arrive at the optometrist office and ready for my p/u will be likely the same day, I'll record video while out in public.
My reason for taking video and stills will be for the sake of security as a traverse the night as well as record activity at work for surveillance purposes.

People record on their phones all the time and don't ask for consent so why is everybody so uptight with glasses that record ? That was one of the stupid reasons Google pulled Glass. Totally nonsensical

I agree about the video quality. If you're going to play the video game Meta should be prepared to present much better quality. Iphone record 4K -- That's what consumers are used too and frankly is the new standard. Meta's video reminds me of trying to record a video on Blackberry 15 years ago.

It has a sensor that disables the camera if the light is covered. I guess some people have found you can cover most of it though.
Can you livestream on RUclips with them?
Unfortunately no. Only Meta platforms.
That livestream video quality was ghastly. 2007 level video. And only 60 seconds of recording in 1080p? Yeah, there goes the whole "it takes video" selling point for me.
After i record a video and then import it. the video is like in slow motion or just laggy do you know why its doing that?
Just the audio or the video too? I didn’t have issues with recorded videos by my audio from Instagram live recordings is ultra slow because of VFR.
The audio is in normal time but the video is like slow motion

Definitely eliminate the light, it can be done micro circle of some opaque vinyl sticker😂 If I can see it I should be able to record it.

There is no expectation of privacy in public. That’s why it’s named public. If you want everyone to know you are recording in public you can buy the ones cnn uses.

Gotta imagine the consumer interested in these has one but you never know.
Can you connect them to your PC to do Teams or Zoom calls?
I’m not positive, though it seems like you can connect them like a normal Bluetooth headset. I wouldn’t recommend it, microphone quality is much better on other devices.
I’m looking at buying the Ray Ban Meta. Low video quality is an issue. App always running on phone is an issue. No cable included?? LoL. How Tom Petty of you. Don’t you already have too many cables?? I’m not a Facebook / meta fan, and putting a meta cam on my face seems wrong. Is Zuckerberg going to spy on me masturbating?? Red light for recording, it’s universal language. For me, the audio is important. Will it sound better than my JBL earbuds?? My biggest issue, finding them. I’m after headliner with tradition to grey lens, seems to make it rare. Order from Meta direct or ray ban direct?? Hmmmm?
someone said that if u record and u try to cover the blinking lights it automatically stops the recording, is it true papi?
I haven’t tried it but yes, it won’t function without that light exposed.

The Mic is where your nose is which is a Horrible place for it. I have to Lift mine up to unblock the mic. I wanna return mine for that reason

Very true, It defaults to the mic on the bride of the nose which gets covered by your nose and causes people not to hear you or sound muffled. Other than that mics work great with normal video recording and social recording so very strangle that issue happens on calls with 5 mics. Update: I spoke to Ray-Ban support and they are aware and working on a software fix to enable the other mics during calls. So we will see.
