I'm very excited to see it. I've been wanting to watch something about black rich families every since Generation. I hope they don't make it messy like The Bold and Beautiful. My group and I stop watching the bold and beautiful for about 1 yr and half. It's messy...😢😢
New soaps typically don’t last especially one coming out based on race. I hope it’s not trashy. If it does come it should replace The Talk not B&B. They need more soaps during soaps time not less. That way if it tanks we’ll still have both Y&R and B&B. If it’s a success, we’ll have all three.

Generations was the first Black soap opera. The show introduced Kirstoff St.John and Vivaca A. Fox. The show also featured a wealthy Black family. I liked it, but the show was soon cancelled, because of low daytime ratings, so THEY said.
That was primarily because it came on late night where I live and it wasn't on a prime time network which made the ratings low. It was darn near on BET now you know white people weren't tuning into BET to watch it.
You know, lately I have not been pleased with the storyline, especially when SHEILA was allegedly killed. I did NOT like that at all, but I don't want the show to be cancelled.

The cast is too small and it's become nothing but a Logan show hardly any Forresters on there and they hardly ever do any fashion shows any more. No story lines whatsoever it can go. The Gates is not a black soap opera instead it will just have a black family on the show. A black soap opera means that 95% of the cast members would all be black. The Gates will have plenty of non black actors on the show.

CBS could drop Y&R to 1/2 hour but I think the better move would be to get rid of The Talk. That show lost its appeal when they brought on two men.

They're not taking Y&R or B&B off. They're just adding a new soap. The Talk will probably be replaced with the new soap.
