I remember the time I saw Home Alone for the first time as a kid. When Marv was going down to the basement I asked my dad, "Is he gonna get scared by the furnace?" He said, "No! Better!" And that said it all. :D I've never seen the other two but I really like your posters!
Elf is a movie-type of poster. The Christmas vacation is a netflix original/thriller or series/short film type of poster. I reminds me of dubbed thrillers haha, and I love it it's my fav. I can't help myself not noticing how the socks are flying on home alone poster xD
I wish I could see every poster done in 5, 30 and 60 minutes. Idea of Home Alone poster is so good but there is just a great potential. Please make a video of making these posters in all time tables
My favorite of your posters was definitely Christmas Vacation. Everything just worked perfectly for me. I snagged your course the instant I got the release email. I haven't had time to start it yet, but since I loved the last course, I have no doubt this one will be even better (it has a dragon in it after all). Thank you for putting it out. I look forward to all your future releases as well.
I thought the home alone poster was cool, I’m working on a Home Alone poster myself. However, I thought the Elf idea was the best as well as the one that was executed the best! Absolutely love that one.
Hey! I really like the concept; it's interesting to see you in action with a limited time. I appreciate the minimalist and refined aspect that comes through in these three posters. I think you successfully blended the atmosphere of movies with that of Christmas! Wishing you an early Merry Christmas! :)
@@PhaseRunner Don't worry, it's great to see you exploring other art styles and stepping out of your "comfort zone"! Looking forward to seeing new videos, keep it up! And don't pay attention to the naysayers 🙂
I have been a graphics and motion graphics designer for over 22 years now. One thing I have learnt, the time you put in does not matter. You can spend hours on a project and no one will like it, and on the other hand, throw something together in 10min, and its great....
I watched this on day one with my firestick...so sorry for the late comment on an account I'm logged into. This video was awesome! Merry Christmas everybody
I think Elf was the most 'viable' option. It was clean and simple and didn't need to rely much on knowing the plot to "get it." It's Christmas, he's an elf. The end :-)
Hi, i please bring back the style you have 2 years ago, like creating giant tree, ancient discovery, escaping tornado and black hole. And i also learned how to use ps cc because of your video and i was inspired in the past to make photobashed art. But also bring the naration along too please. I like the tutorial kind of style and guiding style for newcommers. No hate btw, kinda feel like your unique style is fading away. Wait! I think it's because of landscape view and fantasyish kind of art and the morning theme and bluish and green atmosphere style
I’m pretty sure the 30 minute one was the nightmare before Christmas. I’m pretty sure I got it from the smoke and the burnt tree and the presents. Edit: oh Other edit: what the heck is Griswold?
Everything is great, but I don't understand why you're using photoshop as if it's 2003. The features that exist now with the subject select tool, the content aware fill and others could make this work much faster. It feels you're either doing it the slow method on purpose, or something is weird.
This is the least favorite video of mine so far.. I liked every other video of his but somehow the outputs just don't look good... Just a constructive criticism from a long time subscriber ❤
The home alone and Elf posters were very cool and innovative
I think your concepts for home alone and elf were great!
Fr
Love the concept, and amazing to see how your mind works! Christmas Vacation definitely my favourite.
One of the best artists out there!!!
Great to hear! Thank you👍👊

The home alone poster is my favorite one, because it has such an iconic and great concept Idea. (When it was finished, of course...) 😉
Good to hear👍👊Took some time to land that particular concept😅
I want to give this a go. I've lost my touch in designing recently and I feel like this could bring it back for me.

Thanks, Orendil! The time constraints did make this one particualry challenging😅 but I'm glad you feel the final posters were successful🙏

🙏
i loved elf one
Great to hear🙏
The second one is definitely my best one
Wish it was in a desktop format to use as a wallpaper

I like the Christmas Vacation and the Home Alone one
Brdr is back 🔥 🔥 🔥
Amazing
Love the simplicity! Such a short time, yet still so meticulous. Is there any chance that noise overlay and those brushes you use are up for sale?
Kevin's name disappeared! On the 5 min one. lol All of them were amazing, as always.
Amazing! Greetings from Colombia!
Thank you!
You're too great Broskie ❤
@phaserunner we want MORE!!! LOL
You missed the electrocuted fried cat under the tree in the Christmas vacation poster and the burnt wig and cigar from grandpa fred 😺
Uncle Lewis’ cigar and wig would have been a great touch! 🔥😁
very great tutoriall 🤩🤩
13:37 Are you serious?! The comedic transition and timing here was so good it should be reported.
😁
I love this FR 😂❤
home alone is the best, concept-wise!!! or maybe i'm just too attached to the movie
amazing !!
Hey! Where did you get that hair brush you used in the Elf poster design??
I use Jeremy Fenske's brushes: jeremyfenske.gumroad.com/#QudbD 👍👊
@@PhaseRunner thank you so much! Do you remember which set it is by chance just don’t want to waste money lol
@@Schlumy26 I don't unfortunately, i've been using them for a long time now. Maybe start with his free brush pack👍
@@PhaseRunner all good thanks for your help
great buddy💙
Where did all the shadows in the home alone poster u added go??

at 5:47 i thought the nightmere before christmas
at 5:38 i thought violent night. but its not a classic, so, the grinch
I was convinced the second one was going to be The Santa Clause
3:52 For the final result, Kevin’s name is missing lol.
at 6:52 i thought, whos griswold?
6:54 oh. never heard of it

Wouldn't ending with the 5min and starting with the 1hour be better?
0:04 why is nightmare before christmas there
Some consider it a Christmas movie also.
ok❤

Is the second movie? The one where the Dad Turns into Santa
not to lie but i like the 5 minutes poster better because it tells the stories. BETTER
at 4:59 i thought santa clause
there's no way at all to create 5 edged snowflakes by folding paper. snowflakes are always 6 edged.
What he doesn't add is the 1-4 hours needed to get the art assets from Envato elements and the 1-4 hour composition pre-planning time for each poster.

I agree, it feels like he just was one of the best, but now he is a bit disappointing
I couldn't agree more...
Were you expecting a masterpiece with these time constraints? I don't get it
I agree 👍
Nothing constructive about what you said, it was just criticism
