Arteta's biggest concern with Nwaneri will be his OOP/pressing, which is key to how Arsenal dominate their opponents. He looks quite mature on the ball, but Arsenal is Arsenal because of how Ødegaard leads the press.
Really feel like Sterling & Jesus need to step up in the next month and a half as it’ll allow for Saka and Havertz to potentially come in as the right and left 8’s. Nwaneri is ready for a decent amount of minutes but it does feel like a bit too much pressure is being placed on his shoulders by fans. I don’t trust Partey’s injury record or Jorginho’s legs so more midfield depth from other areas of the squad would be a big relief.
Nwaneri is young but has the talent and deserves a chance to shine. No one said he going to produce odegard numbers. Faith in arteta for introducing him last season into the team and must be going to feature in the shirt for years to come
Am I crazy to think that he’s similar to Foden, very good in tight spaces, can play across that whole area in the final 3rd but also able to drop in and receive from deep and make things happen, also has the ability to score from outside the box but also get in the box, just me?
Having met Ethan a number of times after 21s games Yeah he’s not arrogant in the slightest. One of the nicest guys you could meet but definitely a quiet humble personality. Feet firmly on the floor.
Nwaneri is an examptioanl talent there are two x-Gooners who were about this level at this age and developed with the right combination of desire and drive. Bergkamp and Fabregas.
There are those who had the talent and for one reason or another couldn't maximise it Wilshire, Anelka, Ozil. There are also the like of Wright, Adams, O'Leary, Bergkamp, Odegaard that evelve their game as their career develops.
@@JohnBarnesFootball1 I really hope Nwaneri (& Saka) are spending time with Ian Wright to hear about his 1st day at 28 yr. His childhood friend David Rocastle demonstrating “Remember who you are, what you are and who you represent”! 😇
For someone who hasn’t seen him play, the description you just gave might sound like an exaggeration, but he genuinely has an incredibly high ceiling. It’s clear to see, especially if you’ve followed his development through Hale End, watched him in the England youth setup, or even just been introduced to him as recently as this preseason.
I don't think that of a shot is actually on that Arteta will coach it out of him. It is about improving decision making at the elite level of the sport. Lots of players can just shoot on sight, doesn't make it the right thing to do. What he will coach is how to get into better positions to shoot sooner.
One of these days we're gonna loose saka through injuries 😪 even when he's tired Arteta doesn't substitute him, we need to rotate the squad if we are to dislodge city. Games are simply many.
Agree saka for sterling, rest partey and start nwaneri instead would also give Jesus and skelly minutes to. Got to give all players mins where possible esp with man city next and is also very very long season
How many full 90 minutes has Saka played this season? 😂 He’s already been rested in every game! Do you even watch the games, or do you just talk for the sake of it?
I would love for Saka to get some rest, but because Sterling is still adjusting to our off the ball press and defense, I can see Saka starting and Sterling coming on in the 60th+ minutes.
@@TheCannonPod I think something similar. He's a very different player and it's way too early to compare his level to a true great but the variety of attributes to be at the same level across positions is reminiscent of Ruud Gullit.
This is another criticism I have of a Arteta. I completely understand keeping your cards close to your chest but sometimes it goes a bit too far. What on earth is "a while"? When he knew Saliba's season was over he downplayed it. Same with Timber. Why give fans false hope? Give it to them straight so they manage their expectations.
@orimoladetaidaniel2029 it's weird because I assumed it was just my phone or something but it doesn't happen on other channels and now this is a new phone too! Weird And of course it's just when Alex is speaking. No one else.
came back again after watching carabao match. holy shit what a performance from the team with a lot of youth!! this kid really is something else 🙌🏻
Alex having a brat T-shirt was not on my bingo card
I need to talk more non-footie on here. Then you would have seen it coming 😂 - Alex

I agree but I believe Havertz can lead the press

yeah agree, doesn't look like he quite has the nose for popping up in the box yet though
I want to see a ethan in mid because he can hold the ball and create space

Love this!

Bergkamp was not at this level at age 17. I'm sorry but that's just flat out wrong

And to think we have Dowman who ( I know he’s 14 so it’s very very early ) is seen as the absolute diamond of all academy players we’ve had, scary
George’s dog dad face when he shouts, “RELAX!” 😂😂😂
Dad was working lol
Still can’t get over them saying to play Saka in the Ode role VS Spurs 🤦🏾♂️
Come on guys, better than that please.
In my opinion Ethan has exhausted his minutes for this season, we will see him again in next preseason
We in here! (But moving over to Patreon)

That "so you hate him" bit got old last century. C'mon, Alex :D
What Arteta would worry about most is how he is OOP. No one is second-guessing him on the ball

Do a scout report on Myles Lewis Skelly!

Thank you :)
He needs to start vs Atalanta and Saka also needs rest but knowing arteta Saka will play the full 90

@eithanash80 so many Arsenal fans do thus. They don't want to play our best player... I don't get it
He releases quickly 😂😂
George’s hair got a 9, MOTM performance
Giving an extra tip to bedhead lol
XEC!!!?! 😂🤣😭
Bless him. - Alex
Anyone remember when Wilshre was bossing prime Barca? 😲
It is absolutely the right time for Nwaneri to get used by Arteta.
goodness what's up in Canada that Giorge is so out of it😂 might as well be in Aussie land

Jesus George 😂😂😂😂😂
The shoes?
From my naija friend, he says the boys name is pronounced "ONE-NE-RI"
Not correct. N-WA-NERI. The first N sounds like "hnmmm"
@@damilareoyewole9597 No english speaker will be able to pronounce that
I said it first he can keep Martin out the team❤
Do you see Nwaneri keeping his versatility or becoming more specific?
Ultimately I see him becoming more specific in his prime (CM) but will always have a Bernardo Silva esque level of versatility (F9, RW, DLP).

Gassing him waaaaaaay too much
You’re watching him play boys football.
Your mic is trash 🗑 or some sort of audio balance issue, Alex. At least 3 recent uploads are ropey dawg.
Great stuff, as ever though lads 👍🏻

Ethan is a generational talent, his only demise is being at Arsenal. Send him to Germany & next season he’ll be starting for Real Madrid
What an odd thing to say
💯
BRAT is a horrible album. The music is recycled garbage trying to sound like earlier 2000s music. It’s not it.
George has a facial structure of an elite beatboxer his small mouth and big big lips are perfect for seamless lip rolls 👌.
🌈
No genre bias either
Time for a career change eh?
