Would love to see exactly how you built the rotor assembly for this stock helicopter; I've built them in the past and never have they been this stable.
I've also decided that it's about time I get active on twitter - follow me if you haven't already for updates on videos and other space stuff! :) twitter.com/Hazard_ish
I've build helicopters before and used docking ports for connecting rotors to the helicopter and engines to spinn the blades. It was using more fuel to lift off with the propeller than with engines only. What did you use?
Thanks for much! I wanted to make the video enjoyable regardless of whether you've watched the show or not but tried hard to nail the little details that fans would appreciate! :)
I was on a one day course yesterday and was asked "who'm do you most admire?" I couldnt answer the question then, now I can! You're a legend for bringing the lady to KSP. There were tears 😊
Did you reference the actual show intro for some of those shots? I have not directly compared it but it looks like the original as I remember it. Loved the lift off our of the mountain walls too! ;-)
In the description of this video is a recording of the actually TV show that I used as a template - compare them for yourself and re-experience the memories! :D
Ho. Le. Cow... You must have the patience of a saint. I was ready to ragequit enough times just flying my chopper to the island and you do a freakin' dogfight. That must have taken forever!
Holy crap! Outstanding. Everything except for the fact that helicopter blades all spin counter-clockwise in North America. Suppose Kerbin could be different
Oh! I didn't actually know there was a general, nation-wide convention like that - good to know! Although I'm from the UK so maybe it's slightly different over here. I just took a guess - 50/50 chance :P Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching!
www.aerospaceweb.org/question/helicopters/q0212b.shtml Doesn't appear that anyone has answered "why?" Probably the first helicopter just spun in accordance to whatever direction its engine spun, and the number of gears in the transmission. And it stuck, for no great reason.
Hey Hazard-ish, another great video! Have to thank you personally for giving me a ton of inspiration in my own crafts. I no longer settle for the standard looking ships, its all custom, all the time now ;)
This is just too good. I understand how it works, stock bearings and all... But how the hell is it not just ripping apart? Any time I try to make stock bearings, they just break apart :/
yu know, it somehow somewhyreminded me of that moment in staly paable when narrator turns on music - it is so weirdly uplifting that i jusy could not not enjoy what i see (not to mention your excellent crafts, as always) so i have to say, you`ve literally gumped over your own head. fook hing awe sum
everyone wants that helicopters craft file... but I really want that corsair look alike craft file, I can't belive I never thought about using a front mounted engine. tldr that's a sexy plane man.
My hubs always fall apart, but I realize now that you don't use that adapter plate for the bottom surface of the bearing. You were using a reaction wheel. This will be noted for the next try.... Also, where the f%$k are the engines on that corsair? I can just about make it from the visuals but I can't figure that part out. Are you using the tiny jets (Juno, I think) on the upper wing surface in the crook of the wing? Or is that some other random part?
Hinges haven't been added but you can still make them in the stock game - my previous video shows how - I used that design and tweaked it a little to get it as stable as possible! Don't be fooled, though. In between a lot of these cuts the rotorblades fell off and I had to re-record :P
+Hazard-ish Ksp should really add hinges for helicopters or Tri copters or quadcopters or penta copters or hexa copters. Btw those copters would be very cool to make. :D
I can just imagine the pain it was to scour the ENTIRE surface of kerbin to re-create the intro scene
I feel sorry for whoever else is doing this challenge! :P
Your turn!
#ROASTED
Shut up you dumb 12 year old
PeKoE "Dumb 12 year old"? You have to be kidding me, how can he/she be 12 when he/she knows how to do all these things?
TheRedRifleman Animations And by all these things you mean?
Would love to see exactly how you built the rotor assembly for this stock helicopter; I've built them in the past and never have they been this stable.
***** explain please.
on a previous comment he responded that it wasn't very stable and exploded between shots
see the video by mrnuclearturkey on how to make stock propellers
Hazard-ish is a liar and he probably modded for this episode, explains why he didn't put the craft link on description
It appears the main rotor used juno engines to rotate them.
This Is awesome! Great job! :D Can I have the craft file?
#MakeThisTopComment
plz post craft file
all craft files pls
#MakeThisTopComment
Same...
This was a pretty intensive video and I had exams! You won't have to wait as long for my next upload, don't worry! :D
I like the cinematics! :D
more of videos like this
I knew it would be so good that I liked before the video had started. You never disappoint me!
Did the spinning blades actually help with the flying?
maybe some fails in such showcases will be fun :P
*IN THIS WORLD...
THERE ARE 16 QUADRANTS
BUT ONLY 8 JEB-MICHAEL VINCENTS.*
"I REFUSE TO SIGN THE LEGISLATION THAT PERMITS MORE THAN 8 JEB MICHAEL VINCENTS TO A PRECINCT!"
« I NEED A JEB-MICHAEL VINCENT IN THE QUADRANT 7 »
"The next video is a *normal* one."
Since when is the word "normal" part of Hazard-ish dictionary?
'Relatively speaking' ;P
Normal is a relative term
you know you have a badass helicopter on your hands if you here the tires squeal if it breaks mid-air.
Oh man! I can't imagine how much work you put into making this video. It's just like the show's intro... how amazing!
The devil is in the details and it's certainly worth it when I get nice comments like this- thanks! :)
@@Hazard-ish what kind of bearing mechanism did you use on this? I want to make my own full stock heli
This is the most beautiful kerbal related thing I have ever seen. Ten year old me thanks you.
When you said you were working on helicopters I never imagined it could be this awesome
I've also decided that it's about time I get active on twitter - follow me if you haven't already for updates on videos and other space stuff! :) twitter.com/Hazard_ish
Can you make it downloadable
you cannot download twitter?
i mean the craft
Hahaha that exchange
I baby I have followed you! If you know who I am it'd make more sense..
How you control it? I try RCS and reaction wheels, but they do nothing.
This is probably the greatest thing I've ever seen in KSP! Great video!
This guy is a genius.
As a large fan of Airwolf (mainly flown in FSX) Have to say, well done!
By this you have officially earned an award for THE best KSP engineer of all times!
I honestly don't believe that this can be beaten, great job man!
I have words to describe this. These words are, "I have no words to describe this."
NO THIS IS WAY TOO HYPE CLEARLY YOU HAVE INVOKED THE POWERS OF A DAEDRA
Praise Sheogorath!
Now this, this is the content that I've been missing out on. Thanks to RUclips's recommendations
I'm glad you appreciate it all! It takes time to make but there is plenty more to come :)
1:13 pause, Illuminati that has a gap in the head comfirmed
I've build helicopters before and used docking ports for connecting rotors to the helicopter and engines to spinn the blades. It was using more fuel to lift off with the propeller than with engines only. What did you use?
now you can make propellers with breaking ground's rotors in 1.7
I'm stunned! :O
Wow, I'm glad I could impress you, given how good you are at camera work in your videos! :)
+Hazard-ish no craft file? this is a really cool ship
That brought back so many memories....cheers mate, that was fantastic.
I see that Bob Borgnine failed to make an appearance as Dominic Santini :-D
Woah, impressive... But the Jeb Micheal-Vincent joke was so good it gave me a hernia.
ew, i just googled hernia because i didnt know what it was and its all your fault im telling my teacher on you
Lel
A good one, indeed
Very very well done. One of my favorite shows growing up. Im glad you even did the take off from the volcano/crater. You nailed this!
Thanks for much! I wanted to make the video enjoyable regardless of whether you've watched the show or not but tried hard to nail the little details that fans would appreciate! :)
I was on a one day course yesterday and was asked "who'm do you most admire?"
I couldnt answer the question then, now I can! You're a legend for bringing the lady to KSP. There were tears 😊
Haha, thanks so much! :D Really glad you enjoyed the video!
I give up. I quit. Pure awesomeness demands it.
For crying out loud, that's insanely amazingly good.
Great to hear you liked it! :D
Yayyy!! Been looking forward to this Hazard :D
Thanks!
Your helicopter is so awesome! How much time did you spend on it?
This is easily one of my favorite videos ever. From anyone.
Wow!!!! That was absolutely amazing! Great build, lovely execution!
.... Man that brought me back to my early teens!
Fantastic to hear it's brought back nice memories to you! :D
That is by far the most badass ksp film I've ever seen!
Wow Hazard your cinematography is unparalleled
Your computer, KSP builds and your cinematography kick major ass
Awesome :D
I've made an helicopter too, but the rotor fell off after 10 seconds x)
Craft download available ?
Hah, the rotors kept falling off this one, too - it's just clever editing to make it look like it didn't explode between cuts ;)
Hazard-ish but you can fly xD
with my craft, I can't fly over 10 seconds.
And I repeat my question, would you make a craft download ? :3
Maybe - you need part clipping for the custom cockpit to no destroy itself whenever the craft loads which might be a problem for some people.
Hazard-ish I did not use a custom cockpit
craft plz
wow! that was Amazing ... I loved that show as a kid growing up and that was pretty epic! Love the Jeb-michael Vincent credit too!
Awesome! I love how many people have said they loved the show back in the day! Good to see you caught that reference, too :P
+Hazard-ish How does your game look do beautifull :D nice vids bte
+AppelSchillen btw*
Ho. Le. Cow... You must have the patience of a saint. I was ready to ragequit enough times just flying my chopper to the island and you do a freakin' dogfight. That must have taken forever!
Hah, it did take forever! Worth it though to get the final product and to hear the kind words of my subscribers! :)
Holy crap! Outstanding. Everything except for the fact that helicopter blades all spin counter-clockwise in North America. Suppose Kerbin could be different

Wow- amazing cinematography. Can't believe this is stock.
This is god-tier engineering right here bud. Great work.
Great to hear it's appreciated! I went all-out to ensure this was a good video :D
You had my attention
now you have my subscription
Amazing camera work I couldn't have thought it out better!
Thank you! Several scenes were re-recorded to get the best camera work as possible - great to hear it was worth it!
One of my favorite shows growing up. Great job!
Ahh, i used to love this show, the replica looks amazing.
Asked you on reddit a while back when you were gonna post new videos, and it looks like the wait payed off, I'm stunned!
Thanks! I hate keeping subscribers waiting but I really wanted to make something special here! :D
I just want you to know you're my freaking hero for this. I love everything about it.
I am proud when i make a helicopter with mods that dosn't look like a helicopter and there is this
Came because of Airwolf, stayed for the feels. Thanks man, nice work.
That was a fantastic trip down 80's lane ! Thanks!
:D
Ive just seen this video, ive never had so much fun in a long time over this video, i loved it, freaking nice video.
wow the use of drills as guns is really damn creative
Hey Hazard-ish, another great video! Have to thank you personally for giving me a ton of inspiration in my own crafts. I no longer settle for the standard looking ships, its all custom, all the time now ;)
Great to hear! You can do so much more in the stock game than people realise!
That was bloody awesome! I don't comment much usually, but I just had to express how cool that was!
that is amazing. never knew it could be done.
You play clash Royale? Nice! :D
+Oscar He yep, arena 6
+Cavin Kim I suck so I'm on arena 2 lol :/
Damn, that might heave been the best KSP video I've seen
Thank you!
Awesome Job That was so fun to watch taking off
Holy shit man that's amazing! I've never seen a turboprop so clean before!
one of the best ksp vids i've seen in a while!!
Dude wtf is this Kerbal or DCS!! Look at them instruments homie!!! Another epic build by Hazard-ish! Can't wait for more.
Really well done. Nice work Hazardish.
Wow, Hazardish, great moves, keep it up, proud of you.
The Corsair deserves its own video... that thing was sick.
3:19 has a really good shot of the Mun in the backround
This is just too good. I understand how it works, stock bearings and all... But how the hell is it not just ripping apart? Any time I try to make stock bearings, they just break apart :/
this game! that craft! this kickass 80s music!
WOW. This is absolutely incredible, great job!
Now that's what I call cinematography!
OMG CORSAİR
yu know, it somehow somewhyreminded me of that moment in staly paable when narrator turns on music - it is so weirdly uplifting that i jusy could not not enjoy what i see (not to mention your excellent crafts, as always) so i have to say, you`ve literally gumped over your own head. fook hing awe sum
This is epic!
(btw: got goosebumps when I heard the airwolf title music. Oh man I'm getting old :p)
Holy shit this is good. Bring back my childhood watching Airwolf and Knight Rider.
everyone wants that helicopters craft file... but I really want that corsair look alike craft file, I can't belive I never thought about using a front mounted engine.
tldr that's a sexy plane man.
awesome!!! you took your time on editing this, nice aircraft and nice vide
Oh my, you're pushing all the right buttons.
it's....
it's...........
it's beautiful! another amazing design, Hazard-ish!
you've got some serious skills man.
Hello from Devon. Another first class video. If squad aren't paying you then they should be! ... now off to see if i can work out how you did it!
WOW! Now that's what I'm talking about! Great job!
Thanks! I aim to keep this level of quality up! :)
Damn - when the music started it gave me nostalgic goosebumps.... :-). Loved the vid !!
Great to hear! :D
Do we .. have to know who JEB-MICHEAL VINCENT is to get this ?
It's a parody on the actor for Stringfellow's real name.
That was a reference to Rick and Morty...
If you didn't get it, go watch it
. Great show!
I need 2 Jen-Michael Vincent to chapter 2!
By all that explodes on the Mün! That was awesome! Better than the reboot series too...
That must have been really fun!
Holy crap! Amazing work!
Wow, this was awesome. Loved it!
does it include the ADF pod?
My hubs always fall apart, but I realize now that you don't use that adapter plate for the bottom surface of the bearing. You were using a reaction wheel. This will be noted for the next try....

You should make an AIRWOLF series, using this video as the intro, along with your HAZARD-ish intro.
Starring:
Jeb-Micheal Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke,
Bill Borgnine as Dominic Santini,
and
Bob Kerman as the C.I.A.’s mysterious Archangel
That....Is...Just...Awesome sauce! Well Done!
Airwolf KSP. lol, nicely done.
Dude in 100 years no one can beat you on KSP.
I just found this. It was one of my favorite tv shows when i was a kid
Putting a space suit on over your flight suit to fly a _helicopter_ --- now that's what I call optimistic!
I wanted the mission to feel 'spacey' enough for Jeb :P
And after all of that, the humble outro follows.
How did you build that plane? I tried building it but I have issues with my wings.
The Cockpit/IVA is one of the reason i liked Airwolf back then
How did you make the rotors? Did KSP get rotating parts? Haven't played in some time
Hinges haven't been added but you can still make them in the stock game - my previous video shows how - I used that design and tweaked it a little to get it as stable as possible!
did the actual blades fly off or did the spinning bit glitch out of the helicopter?
complete with epic 80's music
