I’m amazed at what Tony Beets paid for those dredges. The were just rusting away and would have continued if he hadn’t come along. They should have paid him to haul it away.
I really enjoy watching you three's little excursions around Nome. I must have an old miners soul, I've always wanted to come and try my hand at it. LoL. Thank you for sharing.
Brilliant fun and grate that you found some. Yes it’s probably been hammered and searched over the years but still you found some there. What a way to tread in the old timers footsteps
Love to see the memories of the time you all had to pan gold uphill both ways. LOL> Us couch warriors appreciate your efforts and access to the great state of Alaska. Great health to all, and peace through innovation.
If its out in the middle of nowhere and abandoned....I don't see it as stealing. I see it as exploring and having fun. Getting fresh air it what more people need.
Yeah, we have many abandoned mines in Cali, I know that many are private but it's a bit extreme to shoot at people (our neighbors like target practice in the backcountry & have winged a few) children love to do this sport as well, luckily only a couple have been shot in unimportant places on the body.
I'd get a small wet vac ( battery powered) and go there and get the dirt out of the really tight cracks all over that thing. I bet there's a shit ton of gold all over that thing. P.S I've been watching Bering Sea Gold since it started and it's awesome the way you've evolved over the years. Congratulations on all your success and will continue watching all you guys videos. They're very interesting and informative. I like seeing people be who they're to a bigger degree.
Great job! Interesting finds on the old Dredge! I had a Geologist friend that was working in back country Alaska in the the 1960's, he said they were working around abandoned dredges, so he'd just take some time and prospect that dredges, found lots of small gold that way! They hadn't even cleaned the sluices out when they walked away from them.
Great to see another video from you both & the Puppy😁 Great piece of gold mining history! Looking forward to your new season on tv! Beat Wishes to all.
Another interesting fact about those old dredges is the toss out anything bigger than 3 to 4 inches..so there could be large nuggets in the tailing piles
It would be nice it Alaska or the federal government would have grants available to protect and preserve the mining history. Here in Georgia everything was scrapped for world war two, rotted away or abandoned and not valued. We had an old diving bell that was finally pulled from the Chestatee River and put on display. It is funny walking in the woods and realizing the woods were once full of mining operations and prospectors, now that history is gone or has been put under a subdivision.
just stumbled over your vids and channels... gotta say, you occur so much more interesting and real than you did in that show... refreshing... best of luck.
Locks door , window wide open , lols. Guys we need to have some house keeping then install shelving or drawers , on that mess of a cabin . You hit a wave in that boat and it will look like a nightmare in that boat . Didn't know you had your own channel. Subbed.
I think Alaska should pass a law that requires anyone who mines for gold or any other mineral to clean up there trash and evacuate everything that they brought to a piece of property and leave it as clean as possible without any pollution. The land should be inspected after they leave and any offenses for not following the rules will been enforced through the justice system via Fines and levy. I see lots of videos of so much waste and pollution left behind and I don’t understand why the state doesn’t clamp down on it.
Watching Tony Beets resurrection of his first dredge was interesting. Quite a machine. You have to have a large working capitol to get one up and running. They made/make decent money though it seems but the costs have to be staggering. Nice adventure. Do you have a large or early nugget you’ve saved which is special to you?
"Staggering" is a good assessment of the cost. If it all comes together perfectly - right mechanics, ground, and gold price - then I'm sure they're quite profitable. Not really! We don't get a lot of nuggets here and once you've seen a couple of "pickers" you've seen them all.
I love the analogy, “ if you chase every flake all you will get are a bunch of flakes “ so true in so many ways, not sure it is true for gold though. Thanks for the video! P.S. I would have kept the flakes, isn’t that what snuffer bottles are for?
Amazing video, Always wanted to see inside that dredge, What at the chances of getting it running to piss Shaun off🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gonna look at that Eroica gold as well Thanks Love from uk👍👍👍
Chasing a paystreak like they were on bedrock, they scraped the bottom but couldnt get it all..... set up a section dredge in that pond and work the bottom.....lots of gold left down there
Dredge 5 was the second largest dredge in the world. The largest is in France I believe..also when they stopped dredging they cleaned the buckets ..got over 15 k at 35 an ounce out of it..
I'm sorry to hear that thanks for trying to pick one up! Getting shipping to Canada is high on our to-do list. Unfortunately we launched the website right before a good weather window - so it's all we can do to keep mining and get bags of dirt out the door. But during the next storm we'll try to get it worked out for y'all down there
I'll subscribe to your channel and really happy you found a babe to be with on your gold adventures. He looks good(so do you) and is very well spoken. I hope you guys all the best.
Cool adventure,if I was allowed in Nome I would start at dredge 5 ,cleaning up the whole thing with a sluice ,then build a dredge with all that material from the mother ship and sail on down to da beach 👍
Howdy Emily, I hope you guys are doing well, and absolutely stuffing and packing your sluice carpets chalked full of nuggety and fine Gold !! Hoping the very best for you and your crew Emily, from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 Peace
Pay 500 for bag of dirt and get 400 in return. It’s never about making money on dirt bags. It’s usually about the experience. So if you’re into losing money, go for it.
Tony Beets actually spent millions and got at least one of those dredges working for awhile. The crazy bastard got some gold from that old dredge but it seems that it was more work than it was worth and gave up.
clearly you never continued to watch the show. Tony proved that the bucket-line gold dredges are the MOST efficient & cost effective way to placer mine for gold. he also NEVER gave up. his water license on his Indian River claims expired & wasnt renewed in time for the new season. not even sure why you'd make such an asinine, ignorant comment from in ignorant point of view as you havent watched the show in its entirety.
Calm down. So perhaps I didn’t catch the whole story. I watched the recent show he still didn’t get his water license. So they sit idle again for another year plus. I am just pointing out it seems like an awful lot of work to get those things running. Besides he now invested in bigger equipment millions of more dollars he can’t use because of the water license thing. Oh and I hate trolls like you that think they are know it alls. That’s probably why I rarely comment on you tube.
Hi Emm, I think it's so awesome what you guys are doing by giving people a chance to pan some gold and share the experience. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for supporting us Rick!!
I’m sure the local Nomeites were all over that dredge the minute the owners left town.
Thanks for the look around and you don’t stop getting up to something great to watch without the others giving you hard time as on the shows
I root for you to come out on the top of the board every year keep it up young lady

The Kelly’s are going to be over panning on dredge 5 after that last pan you got.
😂😂😂, No doubt!
You can bet her worthless dad Steve won't get off his ass to get any gold. Your great Emily.

Thanks so much for buying Z! I hope he loves it!

Thanks, Emily and Alex!
Thanks Robert for stopping by again!
Serious question. Can't you get two divers set up in the water at the same time and run double the material?
Emily plz Don't Rip People off with ur pay dirt like Gold rush did. I really like u and what u do.
Was someone who went and scraped all the edges of the sluices on an old bucket line. They actually got a fair amount. Pretty cool you did that.
Thanks!
Those dredges are really fascinating. Really interesting video getting a closer look at one of them! We sure don't have those in Sweden :P

There used to be a plank walkway and a lot less water but that was in '19. I spent hours exploring that beast but didn't even think to bring a pan.
