It's so interesting to see how thoroughly the concept of "Kaiju = evil monsters" is ingrained in everyone's psyche, and how that cognition is increasingly challenged in the most diehard Kaiju-slayers.
To be fair, no kaiju has ever been friendly to humans. Then, you have the goddamn King of Kaiju that devastated the Defense Force. Literally it just existing fucked up the local weather. And it was a 9.6 Fortitude (Kafka is a 9.8). Not hard to understand why they assume any kaiju is a threat. There's no precedent for anything else.
