For real…it was equal parts matching Jin Woo’s feelings for having to kill someone for the first time and losing that innocent part of being a human being, but also matches the feelings for the other hunters, like why did you have to go and do that man ?!? Especially when it clips to the mage’s POV of trying to blast Jin Woo and seeing him in your face like that. Subtle taste of what might be going through their minds, and how the music drastically slows down for him to mention to Hwang that his speed isn’t his best trait.
The song they chose to accompany Jinwoo as he cast away his humanity was soooo fitting

He lost a piece of his humanity in this fight. It’s the beginning of his inner battle to stay human while dealing with insurmountable situations.
He didn't cast away his humanity.. He woke up to reality! It's to hunt or to be hunted.

rather than humanity, I see it as he let go of being merciful/pushover. No longer he will just swallow and endure every insult, being taken advantage of, or threatened, just because of him being powerless. Now he can protect his own rights.
This only means that he will no longer hesitate to kill those who are after his life or what he rightfully owns. He will still be a guy who cares for his family and his friends and doing normal daily dungeon life.
Carmen, he really didn't have a full recovery button, if you payed attention, he didn't accept his daily rewards last episode, the team leader showed up right as he was about to accept it, so he accepted when he was about to lose to the spider boss and got the full recovery reward

The music was perfect for the scene. Not only epic but sad at the same time. Our baby girl Jinwoo that was ready to sacrifice himself so that others could survive is no more.

I'm not going to lie this is the rare case in anime where I like the dub more. The main guys voice is insane in this show, I think it's the rare occasion where both sub and dub are good

I was SO excited for this episode after last week, I have the 2nd volume on my shelf so I went to read ahead and remember what happens and the spider fight was hype enough, but knowing that he kills the "Lizard Group" as the book calls them (cause of the lizard tail story) would be in the same episode, I knew it would be insane to have both moments back to back, and like everyone else says, IT GETS CRAZIER! I'm hoping my favorite moment is going to be in season 1, I think the pacing is fitting it really well

I think there was some strong characterization that was shown in the manwha and not here.
When they ask Babygirl to kill Jinwoo it goes through Jinwoos' thought process and how he is expecting to be betrayed, because ' of course he is going to betray me, everyone does in the end'. Then he is legit surprised that Jinhoo stood his ground.
Then again similarly when they are interviewed and Jinhoo covers for him.
Because it doesn’t make sense in the scene in my opinion “of course you’d betray me, I’m weak” right after Jinho watched him solo a C ranked boss, meaning Jinwoo would’ve been at least B rank, Jinwoo would only be fooling Dongsuk and his party, except he wasn’t trying to convince them. Jinho stood by Jinwoo because he wanted to save his own skin and he bet on the guy who just solo’d a boss.
@@Darkex72 so what ur saying is if jinho didnt know jinwoo's real power he would have betrayed him?, nah i dont think so, if hes that low he wouldnt have protected him all the time + when the boss started to move the first thing he did he stood before jnwoo in order to protect him.
It has nothing to do with jinhoo knowing he is strong. The point in the manwha is that he is carrying on that trauma of being left to die in the double dungeon.
Maybe cuz isnt from the manhwa but from the novel

Anyway back to solo levelling, The system doesn’t want a weak player so it gives him a directive to kill any potential harm to the one who’s bearing the system. It doesn’t matter if humans will be killed in the process, cause it only ensures the survival of sung jinwoo.
