I’m in the US and I preordered one. I’m 44 and never owned a manual car before, nor driven one. As a self proclaimed enthusiast, I figured I finally needed to learn how and wanted a driving challenge (I drive 30,000+ miles a year between our vehicles and rental cars). 1,500 miles in, I’m enjoying the vehicle (although my wife thought I was crazy for buying a stick shift car and has a weird fear that I will be incapacitated and she will not be able to drive the car) . We also have a 2021 BMW M340, which will blow the doors off the Acura, but I don’t think the Acura is particularly slow. It’s about the right amount of power to have a reason to use the gearbox and have some engagement. It’s also fairly light and nimble. Hard to find anymore. 65% of the initial orders in the USA were for manuals FYI.
🙏🙏🙏 You get a lot of praise from me!!! I'm glad you're going with the manual and are willing to learn. The car should be relatively easy to learn on. I hope you learn and enjoy it!
I test drove a cvt yesterday as there were no manuals on the lot, it wasn’t bad at all, it’s a bit different than the cats most are used to. I wanted it so damn bad but it was my wife’s ride and she really wanted the rdx. When I retire from the trades I’m going all in on integra.
My wife and I really love our 2023 Elite a spec Canada 🇨🇦 version MT black Integra and don't understand the stupid negative comments from intelligent people who affect what many people see and get influenced in a negative way. It's more than enough in every ways including more than Civic SI and reflects price being higher such as redesigned exterior, 234hp instead of 222hp as per Hondata dyno, more comfortable seats and matching in back doors and seats. Enough luxury including amazing ELS STEREO, LSD, Adaptive suspension, amazing fuel economy, Acuralink support, 10 year available warranty, 5 year maintenance free, rim and tire repair package, exhaust crackle but not too loud, fast enough, quick enough, and far better than most reviewers say...we love it just like our RDX, mdx type S, 2020 2.0T Accord Sport, Ridgeline trucks, 2016 Civic ext, S2000 and other vehicles we've had fun with over the years. My first car in 90s was a 1992 4 door white with blue interior Integra and get same excited feeling from this despite other vehicles we also ❤️ love....tell the truth regardless of your peers
I have to correct you about a statement you made between the manual and the CVT at 8:18 in video; Where there's a picture of the car. Both the manual and the automatic have this, it can be turned on and off by the cruise control being on or off. My Manual definitely has that and it's pretty cool when you turn on lane keep, it'll track all nearby vehicles as well as speed match the car in front.
Nice video, love my 6 speed integra, easily the most satifying manual I've ever driven, truly hope it sells well for Acura in the long run. FYI the little car wasn't on the dash in the manual because the main cruise was turned off. Both of them do it, the car disappears when either Cruise, LKAS (or both) are switched off on the steering wheel.
Great to see a local Mississauga channel! Just wanted to point out I think you left the CVT in normal mode. In sport mode it simulates gears so it wont do that droney think it did on the highway and you can shift with the paddles. Btw, electric cars do have a use for gears. The Tesla model S was originally supposed to come with gears and potentially even a manual option. Gears help solve the low efficiency at high speeds problem that EVs face, but just raise the cost a bit more.
Thanks for the kind words! It wasn’t as full-sounding. A bit too tinny and hollow for the treble and too muddled for the bass side. Mids were good not great.
U said the hp and torque figured backwards also its a great entry level luxury car the space and interior is nice and if u want more power buy a ktuner v1.2 for 450$ new and a of the shelf tune for 200$ and it'll make it feel much more lively especially with the 6 speed manual lsd it's great
My Civic has the CVT, I like it, not sure why people dog it… the CVT is quick, responsive and fuel efficient. I’m looking forward to buying the Integra CVT with paddles, So much fun
yeah, we got aspec, cvt, awesome sporty body style, nice red interior nice, front should be full leather, like rear seats and with all the hype should be 8 sp auto not cvt and the 2.0T, just saying with aspec badge and price Rear wiper no necessary but passenger power seat needs to be full power up and down option🤪
Same drive train as a Type R there will be no automatic Type S not sure why anyone would think there would be they have made this very clear. As it already been seen and driven its luxury Type R with widen Integra body.
You will win every time off the line with the cvt especiallywhen break boosting, make sure ur in sport mode then shift in a high rpm range from sport to Low and it red lines and launches you.
Is the illuminated Acura grill emblem heated also? That would come in handy when it get covered in snow and icy road muck in winter. The ACC/CMBS radar give a warning and disable it covered with too much snow.
Not how it works bud, the ACC/CMBS Radar is now behind the mirror. The Integra doesn’t use the Emblem as a radar anymore like the other Acura models do. Which is why the Integra, is so far the only one that allows OEM Illuminated Acura Emblem.
@@Jb46290 I looked at the owner's manual and it looks like the Integra doesn't use the radar unit? It uses the upper windshield camera for ACC/CMBS system. My previous gen 19 MDX and 18 RLX had both camera and grill level radar for FCW/ACC/CMBS that all worked together along with camera based LKAS/RDW. Not sure if Acura did this change for a current Acura's or just the Integra?
@@mrgold3591 Mhhhmm.. exactly what I said. The old gens used the Acura Logos, but as of now it’s just an Integra thing. The RDX, MDX, and TLX still use the Acura Logo as a radar/sensor. 🔥
@@Jb46290 My old 11 MDX Adv had the ACC/CMBS radar sensor behind the grill just under the old shield design. It had a square plastic panel to help protect it against road debris hits. I had the exact same issue with road muck and snow disabling it and and no change with my 18 RLX hybrid/19 MDX hybrid ACC/CMBS behind the Acura logo radar system. Hopefully, camera overheating with the new system won't be an issue. Having the older camera based FCW/LKAS/RDW overheat in +100 degree heat does happen in the southwest.
for anyone interested, my 2010 5speed civic is not very fast, 0-60 around 9 seconds, but it is SO fun to drive, whereas the automatic feels slow mushy & boring. i test drove a cvt integra, and there’s no way in hell i would buy it. i haven’t found a stick to test drive, but will keep looking. if they kept the 8 speed dual clutch from the ILX, then maybe 🧐
Its now the best selling car in this segment and completely decimates the ilx sales and it gets a lot of positive reviews on RUclips so they defenitely made the right decisions here, Ilx was hated on most car channels
Who fooled you F18? It’s not well received by people who can’t even buy a car for themselves. Those who can hardly have access because of how quickly they sell😂
Honda CVTs are fantastic and I think its a perfect pairing for this car, I genuinely hated the ILX 8 speed DCT. If you want a 6 speed manual I don't understand why you would buy this car over an Si. The Si is 10k cheaper with the same engine and is lighter with better handling.
Yes, Si is cheaper at msrp like you said $10k (maybe less $8-9k) but dealerships have been charging an upwards of $5-6k mark up for the Si so you might as well go for Intergra and you get all the upgrades and luxuries. Integra sells at msrp
Not complaining about my manual Integra. Such a thrill to own and very forgiving transmission to learn on so far!

We bought a red one with a manual gearbox. It’s our first Acura. I like it so much I could see owning another Acura vehicle.
Congrats!!!! You certainly made the right choice :)

December of 22 I bought Si. 6 months later, my ex-wife bought the Integra Tech CVT. I feel vindicated! My son agrees!!
😂😂😂
Great interactions between you two. You’re the only reviewer that doesn’t highly praise the ELS stereo so far. What didn’t you like about it?

How does it feel compared to the Si? Are the materials quality the same?
What he said.
CVT for me
Great review
I got the cvt too and I like it surprisingly. Driving stick is overrated though

@Jackie Mcmillan Theres plenty of people who know how to drive manual yet still have no interest in daily driving it.
@Jackie Mcmillan very nice the WRX
I prefer the manual, but will have to see what is available.

I swore I hated CVT's until I drove this car.
😮
I dis I dislike red cars but that integra looks great in red. Whoa
Try finding a white one with ebony interior. I may need to get Congress involved. Or just go with a Civic sport touring. It comes with a rear wiper.
Great review ! , holding out for the Integra Type S , maybe an 8spd DCT ? , or 10spd ? or Type R 2.0L engine ?

6MT or bust. If you’re buying a CVT you should just get a civic
What if you want the increase in MPG that comes from a CVT?
It is not 192 HP, it is 200.
Problem is you have to buy the most expensive top trip to get the manual.
Just for ur info, the Toyota has recently patented an EV manual gearbox! So yes, EV manual is a real thing in the near future.

Honda had to of known that the CVT would flop in the Integra
👀
Definitely not acuras last manual car. Integra type s coming out next year!
One of the biggest complaints about this car is the amount of road noise. How noisy did the cabin seem to you ?
You have to get the one with adaptive dampers with comfort mode it isn't that noisy.
Stick. Period, unless u don't want a manual option in the next couple of years.
Own a 19 civic hatch sp touring 6sp. Curious how different it is?

Night and days different!
I’ve driven both…long story short….this car should’ve come with the 2.0 engine from the beginning…both were underpowered IMO and lack luster
Its literally the lowest model in the lineup
The new Integra hasn’t been well received at all some of Honda’s recent decisions just don’t make any sense.
They are gone before they even hit the lot where I live and people are paying over msrp. Sounds well received to me.

The Civic has the most cohesive looking interior design. The Integra looks like an afterthought derivative, by comparison.
I had to wait 5 1/2 months to get mine (6MT in white). All dealers near me are always sold out. They are selling extremely well.
